October 31, 2012 at 2:28 am
I know very well this movie, there are some really shitting pants moments and i’m glad you saved them so people can now go watch this and doodoo all over.
October 31, 2012 at 2:29 am
I was also never really all that big on the clown thing, but I still really enjoy this movie. They really did a good job making cartoonish stuff seem surreal and spooky.
October 31, 2012 at 2:31 am
what a perfect year to end this years cinemassacre’s monester madness, much more anticipating than rob zombies halloween 2
October 31, 2012 at 2:35 am
Fuck yeah what an ending for a good year. Even though this year had half the episodes it was just as good if not better. How about an update for your movie?
October 31, 2012 at 2:37 am
Great video as always! Happ Helloween, James! Happy Helloween, everyone!
October 31, 2012 at 2:40 am
That god damn large Marge will haunt my dreams forever.
October 31, 2012 at 2:47 am
No mention of the theme song?! The Dickies (an L.A. punk band) wrote and performed it. This was the ONLY reason I picked up this movie was to hear it in its native state.
If you enjoy the theme, definitely check out The Dickies, they’re amazing.
October 31, 2012 at 2:59 am
You knew to save the best for last! You knew what the fans wanted and you delivered!!! THANK YOU!!!!!!!
October 31, 2012 at 3:02 am
Nice, a Killer Klowns From Outer Space review. This film used to scare the shit out of me when I was a kid but now it’s one of my favorites and gives me a laugh whenever I see it today. I think I might actually go watch this now for old times sake. Thanks James.
October 31, 2012 at 3:17 am
Cheers for another monster madness James, it is appreciated. You always have some obscure ones that I need to go see after monster madness is done.
and glad you did Killer Klowns, great movie and it will finally stop some people from whining hehe.
October 31, 2012 at 3:24 am
Haha, finally reviewed Killer Klowns! Thanks for another memorable and wonderful Monster Madness James. I look forward to them each and every year, and I’m sad to see it over already. Keep doing what you do, you’re the best!!
October 31, 2012 at 3:31 am
thanks james for MONSTER MADNESS!
October 31, 2012 at 3:46 am
Good fun movie, nice pick James!
October 31, 2012 at 3:48 am
Just one little thing – Pennywise was earlier. Stephen King wrote the novel IT in 1986. But yeah, if we’re talking about the movie adaptation…
October 31, 2012 at 4:36 am
Another great review. Thank you James. My next Halloween won’t be complete without you.
October 31, 2012 at 4:41 am
great review, happy halloween and remember to tell em…large marge sent ya….mwhahahahahahahaahahaha
October 31, 2012 at 4:46 am
Thank you for doing another MM, James. I know you’re swamped with the movie but I look forward to this every year now like a kid looks forward to candy.
October 31, 2012 at 5:04 am
Nice job James. I find it funny that you call this one well-known/easy to find, and PUMPKINHEAD obscure. Maybe it’s just up here in Canada, but i have to claim the reverse! I have always HEARD about this movie, but outside of a brief period on cable tv back in the early 90′s, i had never really had a chance to see it. I sometimes wonder if this movie is even real!
On the flipside, Pumpkinhead is one that i see every month on Satellite up here.
I definitely have that fear of clowns, or heck ANYONE in costume, really.
Really nice job this year! I’m another one who anticipates Monster Madness each year, now. It is my own Halloween Treat, so thanks very much for taking the time!
October 31, 2012 at 5:22 am
I can’t stand this movie, even though my taste is not that far from Obscurus Lupa’s.
October 31, 2012 at 5:28 am
I love Night of the Creeps; it was the first horror movie my parents let me rent. & one of the only movies with a zombie animal.
October 31, 2012 at 6:27 am
Your the man James. I’m not even a big horror movie guy, but I thoroughly enjoyed these videos. My brother and I are definitely going to be watching one of these movies this halloween.
October 31, 2012 at 6:30 am
aww what about 1989…..
October 31, 2012 at 6:33 am
nevermind seems i missed it
October 31, 2012 at 6:40 am
Can anyone tell me what movie the clip before he mentions lost boys is from? The one with the monster punching through the women’s head.
October 31, 2012 at 7:19 am
I predicted this one..
October 31, 2012 at 7:30 am
This was a great Monster Madness season James, much better than the last 2 years. I wasn’t really into camp-cult myself, and sequel-a-thon was too much of the same, but ’80s horror really is my cup of tea.
Thank you so much for this!
October 31, 2012 at 7:33 am
Thanks for another great October, James!
October 31, 2012 at 7:46 am
The movie you’re looking for is Class of Nuke ‘em High, ARock. It’s a Troma movie that’s worth a watch.
October 31, 2012 at 7:59 am

October 31, 2012 at 8:40 am
Hey James! Maybe I was living under a rock as a kid.. but I have never heard of this movie!! So thanks for shedding some light on it. Maybe I’ll check it out soon.
October 31, 2012 at 8:41 am
Thanks for another really great Monster Madness James, you made my October complete again.
October 31, 2012 at 8:47 am
Whem i saw this on the page i was like “Ooookkkk”. I never saw this movie but iv’e seen it on the store shelves a fev times but was too afraid to even touch the covers.
October 31, 2012 at 8:50 am
There is a clip at the end with Robert Englund getting scared, does anybody know which movie it is from? Help me
October 31, 2012 at 9:46 am
im pretty sure freddy still has the biggest body count cause in freddys dead it opens up with a text opening saying he killed every child in springwood ohio i think that gives him the biggest body count of any movie monster at the moment he wipped out an entire city pretty much for god sake
October 31, 2012 at 9:53 am
Great stuff James. Loved catching these all month long. It really helped bring back the festive enjoyment of the holiday. This month I lost a family member and just watched a hurricane obliterate a ton of friends and families homes.. so.. What you have contributed is really awesome and makes me proud to be a fan and supporter of your work.
October 31, 2012 at 10:13 am
Great Monster Madness. The 80′s-A-Thon was epic. It would be awesome if you review Ginger Snaps (2000) for Monster Madness 2013.
October 31, 2012 at 10:17 am
…I just realized it’s Halloween O_O WHAT
October 31, 2012 at 10:46 am
Very Awesome! I’m now in the mood for popcorn and cotton candy! I fucking love Halloween
@legault Yeah Freddy killed every kid (or everyone) in Springwood. And Jason killed everyone on the Solaris space station in Jason X, which was supposed to be thousands of people.
October 31, 2012 at 11:20 am
Thanks for doing these James. I don’t like horror movies but I do enjoy your reviews and all the little nuances that you touch upon be it production or plot or whatever.
October 31, 2012 at 11:28 am
Awesome! Another fantastic Monster Madness! And I must say, your intro ALWAYS made me smile ear-to-ear, definitely your best one of the series! Thanks James for making Halloween awesome!
October 31, 2012 at 11:30 am
Killer Klowns from Outer Space has been one of my favorite movies since I was a small child, and seeing it on the Oct. 31st Monster Madness just made my Halloween!
October 31, 2012 at 11:40 am
ah yes, They Live, one of my all time favs.
October 31, 2012 at 12:12 pm
The movie with the monster punching the womans head is from Class of Nuke Em High. ITs awesome haha.
October 31, 2012 at 12:17 pm
Hah, I think we all knew you’d get to this movie SOMEDAY.
Thanks for another great Monster Madness James! I always love discovering those awesome obscure movies through your work!
October 31, 2012 at 12:46 pm
Maybe next year you could do a Friday The 13th a-thon or Stephen King a-thon.
October 31, 2012 at 12:57 pm
00:18, Warcraft II anyone?
October 31, 2012 at 1:32 pm
happy halloween mike and james……and kyle
Hi James, I’m a long time viewer but this is the first time I’ve commented. I just wanted to say that I really enjoy your work. I understand how hard and time consuming it is to churn out so many videos, and I know that you get bombarded with fan requests all the time, but being a horror movie fan myself I thought I’d make a suggestion for next year’s Monster Madness. I’ve noticed a sever lack of Italian horror films featured in previous years. Even Suspiria has been left out! Now I understand if they’re not your cup of tea or whatever, but there are plenty of classics that deserve some attention like Black Sunday, Zombi 2, Black Sabbath, The New York Ripper, Tenebre, Phenomena, pretty much anything by Dario Argento, Lucio Fulci or Mario Bava. So when thinking of what to do next year, maybe consider looking at some of these. Keep up the good work, I always look forward to new videos from you. You’re an inspiration.
October 31, 2012 at 1:38 pm
i must say, this was a great Monster Madness, thank you James, i don’t know how you find the time to make all this, but i admire your work, and i look forward to see the week MM.
October 31, 2012 at 1:39 pm
sorry, meant Next Monster Madness of course
October 31, 2012 at 1:44 pm
Great job James!!! Really enjoyed this years monster madness! Happy Halloween!!
October 31, 2012 at 2:16 pm
According to one of the original directors of the movie said they are planning a sequel in 2013 so maybe will get to see those insane killer klown aliens again… just hope they’ll be costumes and not bloody CGI.
October 31, 2012 at 2:22 pm
Great top off. Very enjoyable Monster Madness. If you ever make a feature length film again, I’d definitely recommend a Monster Madness movie. You get together with some filmmaking buds and just make a series of stories. As for future Monster Madness’ I wouldn’t be against you taking a more general approach and doing reviews of any era. Wouldn’t mind you doing a Tromathon though! You make October great, thanks again!
October 31, 2012 at 2:24 pm
Am i the only person who has never heard of this film?
October 31, 2012 at 2:35 pm
Awesome review, as always. Can’t wait ’til next year!
October 31, 2012 at 2:38 pm
I never heard about this movie. I knew most of the others, but not this one, never even heard about it before.
October 31, 2012 at 2:59 pm
1:23 reminds me of level 1 part 2 from Totally Rad on the NES
October 31, 2012 at 3:41 pm
Great review, love Killer Klowns from Outer Space and glad James finally reviewed it. Also, what movie is at 4:57 ?
October 31, 2012 at 3:50 pm
Cheers, James! Even though you’ve been busy with your movie and other projects I am sincerely glad that the Monster Madness tradition hasn’t fallen to the wayside. MM is something I look forward to every October. Thanks again for all your efforts, and for making me smile. Have a Happy Halloween!
October 31, 2012 at 4:42 pm
That whole “incomplete” thing raises the question, why did you choose not to do a review for every day like you did the others?
October 31, 2012 at 4:57 pm
I’ll definitely check this movie out, as I’ve never heard of it before today. Thanks for the review James!
October 31, 2012 at 5:49 pm
@2:17 – Is he going to put them on double secret probation? lol
October 31, 2012 at 5:54 pm
They’re not clowns but aliens who resemble clowns…technically, so is Pennywise. Well, sort of. He’s an alien…and I think is actually a SHE – a giant spider that can take different forms.
October 31, 2012 at 6:33 pm
uuuuuuuuuuggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhh its over
October 31, 2012 at 6:34 pm
Thank you for this year’s Monster Madness guys. Happy Halloween James and Mike!

October 31, 2012 at 11:11 pm

October 31, 2012 at 11:22 pm
The saddest part about Halloween being over is that Monster Madness is over aswell
October 31, 2012 at 11:24 pm
I stayed in this Halloween and watched a bunch of old monster films, then topped it off with the final episode of Monster Madness 2012.
Thank You for everything James, Mike, Kevin F.
October 31, 2012 at 11:49 pm
Thanks for adding your personal scary movie touch for yet another Halloween!
November 1, 2012 at 1:48 am
Thanx Mike and James! You are essential to my Halloweens as much is Cherlie Brown and the Great Pumpkin! Can’t wait for the Movie!
November 1, 2012 at 2:33 am
Nice touch adding The Dickies song “Killer Klowns from Outer Space.” They also wrote a “Toxic Avenger” song that is pretty catchy. Thank you once again for keeping us entertained throughout the Halloween season. I always look forward to Monster Madness, it’s become a Halloween tradition for me.
November 1, 2012 at 2:57 am
You hoped we enjoyed the 80′s-a-thon? How could we not enjoy it? It was an applause worthy monster madness.
November 1, 2012 at 7:27 am
Thanks for saving this one for last, James. Excellent horror movie.
I wonder what the theme will be for next year. Sci-fi horror month? Maybe a different genre every week? Or maybe 90′s-a-thon. The 90′s had a few gems here and there.
November 1, 2012 at 9:57 am
@Konamikoden it was Galaxy of Terror.
November 1, 2012 at 11:58 am
i think, but i could be wrong, that the dead people in the cotton candy sacks is a tribute to Invasion of the Body Snatchers how the evil alien clones were in pods waiting to be released and wreck havoc.
November 1, 2012 at 4:29 pm
Awesome, you actually did fit this one in this year.
November 1, 2012 at 6:30 pm
Thanks for another year of Monster Madness !!
Good job as usual.
November 1, 2012 at 6:44 pm
Waxwork Next year!!
November 1, 2012 at 7:01 pm
Wow, that was a great review! I’m so glad you did Killer Klowns from Outerspace and gave it a bit more time because it is one of my favorite movies ever! Just so many great things in there with the comedy and horror, as you mentioned.
By the way, does anyone else think that Sweet Tooth’s truck from Twisted Metal was inspired by the ice cream truck in this movie? It looks just like it!
November 1, 2012 at 9:18 pm
Thank you James and Mike
I wondering what were movies those movies you showed clips of at the end hope see more
November 1, 2012 at 9:25 pm
Hey James for next time do Toho Films for next Halloween…movies that r not Godzilla related…movies like Gamora, Rodan, Gorath, etc…especially giant monster movies
November 1, 2012 at 10:12 pm
Great Monster Madness as always. After I showed my wife your reviews from 2009, she went out and got me Monsters Crash the Pajama Party for Christmas. Thank you for broadening our horizons. Though you didn’t have time to do it, thank you for mentioning They Live. It’s a classic that never fails to entertain. Keep up the excellent work.
November 2, 2012 at 1:40 am
OMG This movie was filmed in my hometown!
November 2, 2012 at 2:04 am
lol The Lost Boys was filmed in the town next to mine also
November 2, 2012 at 5:12 am
Great job this Halloween season on the reviews! Another reason why I love October!
November 2, 2012 at 5:21 am
Omg thank you for making this Video James!!!! I was hoping you’d include this in your 80′s a thon and I got my wish =D you guys are the best!
November 2, 2012 at 5:49 am
i’m late to say “happy halloween”, but not to say thanks for Monster Madness, this year seems like it was really hard to do it (been really busy, i guess), but i’m glad you still found the time to do it, really good job!
I wasn’t kinda expecting you to review this one (like you said, it’s so well known it kinda pointless to talk about it), but i was kinda curious in hearing your opinion.
November 2, 2012 at 1:46 pm
Thanks James. You forgot one thing, Fred Fuchs is in the credits under “Special Thanks To,” other than that your review was great, as well as the whole of Monster Madness this year.
November 2, 2012 at 6:46 pm
I had hoped he’d talk about The Boneyard from 1989. He stuck a little clip of it during a Monster Madness intro a couple of years ago and I searched hard to find out what it was and to get a copy. I absolutely loved it. Hopefully, he’ll do an 80′s Part II in future years.
November 2, 2012 at 7:29 pm
You could have done all the 80′s horror you wanted if you posted once a day throughout the month
November 3, 2012 at 11:09 am
These clowns are not as scary as pennywise from IT but it was still a great movie. Also nice review James can you please review freddy vs Jason soon!
November 3, 2012 at 11:48 am
Freeddy vs Jason?
and for somereason, it won’t let me watch this video.
November 3, 2012 at 11:49 am
November 3, 2012 at 1:51 pm
Thank you James for another great year of Monster Madness!
November 4, 2012 at 10:56 pm
Another awesome fuckin MM. I’ll be waiting with bated breath ( whatever the fuck that means) until next year. Thank you Nerd and company.
November 4, 2012 at 11:17 pm
James, You should do a review of the Demonic Toys series.
November 5, 2012 at 2:07 am
Thanks for this year’s Monster Madness too!
It was just balls-to-the-walls great!
November 6, 2012 at 5:35 pm
Yeah, Night of the Creeps did the same tribute with the creeps hitting Earth in the opening, except it was a couple sitting in a convertible that sees the fireball hit the ground.
November 6, 2012 at 5:53 pm
Oh yeah, Lost Boys is another great one. That and Near Dark were the first of the more modern vampire movies, because before that, I’ve heard it was mostly the early Dracula movies and the period Hammer films. And if you like some comedy with a vampire story, My Best Friend is a Vampire and Once Bitten are pretty enjoyable IMO.
Near Dark was also an early Kathryn Bigelow film. She went on to direct Blue Steel, Point Break and The Hurt Locker, which she won an Oscar for.
So I hope you someday get to do The Lost Boys, Near Dark and Night of the Creeps. Oh yeah and yes, I did love the ’80s A Thon, this year, as I always love Monster Madness, your other movie reviews and the Nerd videos.
November 6, 2012 at 10:35 pm
Guys check out my AVGN Tribute video!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AUdfs7WndJs&list=UUTYPVl2J_hh4XLrGKMTFj9Q&index=20&feature=plcp
November 7, 2012 at 11:00 am
Thanks for the Monster Madness James and I hope you had a happy Hallowe’en!
Also, since someone brought up Fred Fuchs, apparently he’s an executive for the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation.
November 9, 2012 at 4:38 pm
I can’t believe that Jame’s excuse for not mentioning Killer Klowns before on Monster Madness is that it is “too well known” WELL THAT DIDN’T STOP YOU FROM FEATURING ALL THE OTHER “WELL KNOWN” MOVIES IN PAST YEARS!!!!
But at least he finally did it for the fans.
November 10, 2012 at 9:49 pm
Great review, James. So happy to see you’ve included KKFOS in Monster Madness this year! Have been a big fan of yours for about 7 years now. I’ve added a post with a link to your review on http://www.killerklownsfromouterspace.com
November 16, 2012 at 1:19 pm
To be fair.
Pennywise is from 1985 (The book)
February 11, 2013 at 6:51 pm
They Live is certainly one of my favorite movies of all time!
March 4, 2013 at 6:54 am
One of the best suposed to be bad movies I’ve ever seen finally reviwed. Awesome.
March 10, 2013 at 6:43 am
James for 2013 Monster Madness you should make it about the 50′s giant monster movies or all the remakes of horror movies in the 2000′s
March 21, 2013 at 3:13 am
It’s all a bit silly now but this movie freaked the fuck out of me when I was little.
April 19, 2013 at 8:45 pm
Sweet mother of God…I remember watching this on TV when I was 10…made absolutely no sense to me, but I’ve always had a mistrust of clowns ever since…
I even kept spelling the word “clown” wrong. But I think that was just forgetfulness on my part.
