FINALLY MONSTER MADNESS 2012!!!! the only thing i look foward too all year long screw wrestlemanina super-bowl Christmas any other holiday October baby yea MONSTER MADNESSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So far so good!
Your commentary in this one was awesome James. It seemed ad-libbed. I don’t know if that was intentional or not or if I just insulted you, but I didn’t mean to and it worked out well!
Ah there is nothing like a long winded add (that you cannot skip) for something that has nothing to do with the actual thing you are trying to watch and of course you have no intention of ever buying!
the monster that james said he “didn’t know whether to laugh, or shit” his pants at first glance reminds me of one of the aliens from the cantina intro in episode IV
Hey James,
Big fan of Monster Madness and great episode. Can’t wait to see whats next. But you mentioned Alien didn’t have a scene where someone was fucked to death, actually it did. When Veronica Cartwright’s character (Lambert) was killed it was heavily implied that the Alien raped her to death. Ridley Scott didn’t flat out confirm this but in an interview he mentioned that her death wasn’t like the others (her screams aren’t that of the rest of the crew who were flat out killed) and in the scene her bare legs are showing implying that her pants were ripped off.
Just a little tidbit of Alien info, great episode and I can’t wait for the next one.
Never heard of this movie before, but it looks right up my alley. I’ve met Sid Haig a few times before and I’ll see him again at the Rock and Shock convention in a couple weeks. He’s kind of a dick.
Great video. What an awesome start to Monster Madness.
Nice one James, I look forward to these movie marathon videos each year, how about a Gamera-thon next year, it worked for Godzilla in 2008, that was arguably your best Monster Madness yet!
Oh that’s awesome, so all monster madness will be released only here, and with this shitty springboard player that makes the video unwatchable for many people HURRAY
thanks james
I’m in heaven… Every obscure horror classic I go around showing to all my friends will now be reviewed by my favorite funnyman of all time! Can’t wait for terror-vision… ha!!!
I have memories of this movie from my childhood, I’ve spent years wondering what the name of it was, until now it was just a vague memory.
Thank you for finally solving a mystery plaguing me for like more than 15 years.
Also, always love some Monster Madness
Hi James, thanks for your return of MONSTER MADNESS.
Personally, I think GALAXY OF TERROR is a cheesy alien rip-off with good art work (except the McDonalds parts), nice effects and one of the best death by monster / monster sex scenes ever, but with a bad script and bad acting. So, that’s my opinion.
I’m really excited for your next video. Keep on going, James!
Hey, are you looking for a great site to recieve game review? Then check out Retro Game Cloud, The newest site to recieve reviews on games from the NES to the Xbox360. Check us out on the web: Retrogamecloud.wordpress(dot)com
Haha, last night I spent a little time trying to guess what movie you’d review first and I considered Galaxy of Terror. I’ve only seen about half of it, I’ll have to watch the rest of it soon.
Great video by the way, I liked all the little 80s references and your irreverent attitude throughout.
WHAT IN THE FUCK JAMES??? WHAT THE FUCKEVER HAPPENED TO THAT LOVELY NOSTALGIC OVER THE TOP VOICE ANNOUNCING “MMMOOOOONNSTER MAADDNESSS”???? WHY CHANGE IT??? I’MM ALL ABOU CHANGE FOR THE BETTER BUT THAT COLORFULL INTRO IS JUST GAY FRO HALLOWEEN MAN… YOU WOULD KNOW BETTER!!!
Awesome video James. This movie looks cool, I’m surprised i never saw it! I’m totally going to check it out now. That cover art is terrific too! So glad Monster Madness is back, it’s seriously become such a staple of my Halloween seasons now, thanks so much for doing it.
awesome. pure and simple. I may have to look into this film in the future. October is now upon us , Halloween is around the corner , and Monster Madness is back once again. I look forward to seeing more this year , and I hope this becomes a continuing tradition james. outstanding job as usual. you never fail to impress. ^-^
Just took a look and saw that Bill Paxton was an uncredited set decorator…hmmm, seems like he had it in with Cameron before they both made it in Hollywood.
yes, so happy your able to still do monstermadnes. what with all the other stuff your doing. who cares if its only evry other day its still awesome! thanks!!!!
I really think Sig Haig reached age 42 in 1981 and, for whatever reason, just stayed that way the next 20 years. He looks just as he did in House of 1000 Corpses/The Devil’s Rejects. Some crazy shit.
Thanks for continuing the Monster Madness tradition. October just wouldn’t be the same without it.
GREAT start to this year’s Monster Madness…..you have turned me on to soo much horror and sci-fi over the last two years that I cant thank you enough…I go through bins of cheap DVD”s at every store picking up those 8 Horror Movies in One deals, hoping to get something good out of it…
Hell for 5 Bucks why not?
Also, After that chick got fucked to death…I gotta say she looked to have a pretty hot body lying there covered in……Maggie the Maggot NUT…Who was she?
The spaceship seat-belts looked like they came from a car . . . probably because they DID come from a car. You know Roger “make a movie for $3.56″ Corman – he probably had Cameron stop by the auto wrecking yard for some props on the way in for that day’s shoot.
James could you post this on You Tube seriosuly I was exited to watch this, but Springboard just keeps stopping every 2 seconds, even when the video is all loaded, could you put it on You Tube, because there is only one weird language one there, Thanks
Yeah monster madness is here !!!! I ‘m very happy that you took time to do this … each year I’m waiting for this moment in October the monster madness reviews…Thanks I’m gonna enjoy this month with horrors and terrors of the 80′s !!
Sadly, the goofy cartoonish sound effects at 1:40 can also be heard in John Carpenter’s “The Thing” during the CPR scene. Not that I’m dissing that movie, it’s fucking amazing 100%
Who was the one to design the cover art for this movie? It dosen’t resemble anything that happens in the movie. Maybe becuse if they had a gaint maggot fuck a chick to death on the cover it woulden’t be very appeling.
The cover to this film was the reason why I tried watching it on Netflix awhile back. Yeah, the cover couldn’t have been any more misleading. so truth be told, I wound up fast forwarding to all the death scenes. ..eh.
James, I saw Sid Saturday night at the Rock and Shock convention in Worchester, MA. He did a panel where he talked about his career, which was very interesting. Then when he got to talking about Galaxy of Terror I was thinking of this video, and no lie his story was almost verbatim from your script. I realize there’s only so much to talk about with his involvement in the film, but it was almost like he was doing a reading from your video; nothing new added or left out. I wish I recorded it, but maybe someone did so it might be on Youtube or maybe it will turn up in a extra or on his site somewhere down the road, but keep an eye out. Either you completely nailed his experience doing this movie, or him or someone who works for him saw the video and just took everything from it. Either way that’s pretty cool, right?
BTW, those seat belts, they really come off a car. We used to have a Pontiac 6000, and it had the exact same seatbelts. Our were grey however, so maybe they painted them.
I didn’t discover this flick until this past summer while looking for Corman movies on Netflix. Truly a classic. I agree with James’ opinion about the set design. I’m surprised Corman didn’t reuse the better set shots in later movies.

October 2, 2012 at 9:44 am
And out of this world again.. the atmosphere reminds me of what Metroid Prime should’ve been. still a great game.
October 2, 2012 at 3:23 pm
That scene with the maggot raping the lady actually kind of turned me on
October 2, 2012 at 10:38 pm
The Gate would be a nice movie to review! Had some really creepy and well made special effects!

Ever since I played Deadly Premonition I wondered what this movie was like. Thanks for reviewing this.
October 4, 2012 at 9:08 pm

October 5, 2012 at 5:54 pm
