… Yeah, that’s why I use foobar2000 instead of iTunes, which is only used when uploading music to my iPhone.

  • Kenny

    June 19, 2012 at 4:02 pm

    iTunes sucks!

  • June 19, 2012 at 4:08 pm

Abandon itunes and switch to Amazon MP3

  • June 19, 2012 at 4:13 pm

iTunes is still great, but it is rather annoying with the constant updating.

  • jdshald

    June 19, 2012 at 4:13 pm

I agree James. I fucking hate iTunes. It is even worse on PC. if you want to install itunes on your computer it installs 50 other apple software programs with the install. it requires you to install quicktime and all this memory hogging bullshit. and the way they organize the songs in the progam is stupid. fuck itunes… use amazon mp3 to dowload music and use your windows or mac os file system with vlc media player to play songs on your computer. just double click on a song in one of your folders. and it plays in milliseconds. fuck iTunes!

    June 19, 2012 at 4:14 pm

You know, I just realized that I stopped opening iTunes a long time a go, and basically it’s because of everything you just said in this video… I rather go to Spotify or pandora.com its easier to listen music that all the bullshit iTunes goes trough.

    June 19, 2012 at 4:25 pm

I don’t know about you, but I’ve been just fine with good old classic Windows Media Player. It doesn’t force you to change the format of the song, it allows you to change ID of the song, and it’s easy to port. Itunes is Apple’s way of forcing you to use Apple. Steve Jobs is laughing from his grave.

  • Aeladya

    June 19, 2012 at 4:27 pm

I hate the stupid authorization bullshit. Every time I reformat my computer I forget to deauthorize my old version of Windows. Now when I get my new MacBook Pro I’ll have another computer to authorize. It’s fucking bullshit. Why do they have to make it so you can’t share playlists between computers? Why do I have to lose all my music on my iPod or iPhone because it’s not backed up on that computer?

  • ZMaine

    June 19, 2012 at 4:37 pm

And this is part of the reason why I personally boycott ALL Apple products and software.

  • Allen Lucas

    June 19, 2012 at 4:39 pm

Fortunately, I have iTunes on my iPad, so I don’t have to deal with the BS you mentioned. I have ways of listening to my music on the go, but I don’t share secrets with others.

  • teekay007

    June 19, 2012 at 4:40 pm

This video didn’t fully do it for me. Don’t get me wrong, I hate iTunes (and still use it).

I feel James focused too much on that CD burning button… there’s plenty of other annoying things to shit on.

The “random” algorithm still sucks and you’ll hear multiple songs in a row sometimes.

Ping is a disgusting attempt at a social network and I wish James would have hated on it more.

It’s poorly bug-tested, and updates introduce new bugs. First it was renaming the genres of my songs to numbers, now my album art doesn’t show up right away when I change it. etc.

And it’s not iTunes… it’s a bloated iTunes + Movie player + Massive Store for more than just music. Bloat bloat bloat.

  • June 19, 2012 at 4:41 pm

There are 2 reasons why I have iTunes on my computer. 1. Put music on iPhone from my pc and to supply the drivers to charge my iPhone via USB. For everything else..Theres VLC

  • JCrazy

    June 19, 2012 at 4:42 pm

    YEP Itunes is shit
But most apple software is so, WATCHA GUN DO

  • June 19, 2012 at 4:44 pm

itunes was forged by Lucifer himself.

  • CutTheRug

    June 19, 2012 at 4:44 pm

spotify will hopefully fix all this in the relatively near future.

  • mst311

    June 19, 2012 at 5:14 pm

    winamp.

  • xdeathknightx

    June 19, 2012 at 5:16 pm

One of the reasons I put my CDs on my PC and buy MP3s through other sites and use music streaming sites or internet radio. I try not to bother with iTunes, everytime I do for someone that has an apple product but no clue of iTunes it gives me a headache. Especially because it is different every time.

  • xenxander

    June 19, 2012 at 5:22 pm

Once I wanted good old Qicktime movie player to play my *.mov files. So I got it.. no big deal that was back in 2004.

Fast forward 8 years. If you have any old *.mov files, and you want to use quicktime… you are told you have to have itunes and a number of other PC ported apple products in order to install quicktime.

    THAT’S BULLSHIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry but I merely found a video file converter program to change my *.mov files into *.avi files and that’s a far friendlier format for multiple video players.

I do not use any apple software unless absolutely forced to.. my PC has none installed on it and I will keep it like that. Downloading any of it is a full assault of bloatware that you can’t get rid of easily. Trying to uninstall it is very difficult without a cleaner program because it keeps registry entries and ever so often you get a task bar icon showing you a non-existent apple program showing its ugly head….

  • Thurston

    June 19, 2012 at 5:23 pm

I love love LOVE how James is finally making more of “You know what’s Bullsh!t” videos, I just found them more funny with the scenes of pictures rather then him talking in front of a camera with a mask. I understand that he does shoes pictures, I just dont like James talking in front of the camera. Hopefully he will read this and take this into thought! :)

  • Sonic

    June 19, 2012 at 5:29 pm

Also forgot bsplayer > any video player.

  • ZidaneTribal

    June 19, 2012 at 5:36 pm

The same thing with those shitty new video game consoles. You have too wait way to long for finally pressing the start button. Back in the NES you popped one catridge in and the start screen immediately showed up.

Now that’s what I call BULLSHIT!!!

  • tsukino_kage

    June 19, 2012 at 5:40 pm

And this is why iTunes has been uninstalled and replaced.

  • liukang85

    June 19, 2012 at 5:40 pm

Why didn’t most people just think about it for a minute or two before going for iTunes? There are other platforms without all that DRM bs, at least now. I don’t get how you are complaining, when you started off with a platform that never granted you access to all your music in a regular way.
And there is less complicated and comfortable software for managing and playing music, as well. I know, it’s not to be taken too seriously, just a fun vid and all, but still…

  • VonKraut

    June 19, 2012 at 5:50 pm

Itunes was always a bullshit bloat monster. First time I installed it had all this extra crap I didn’t need like quick time etc. I just use winamp, very simple and easy to use.

  • christburner

    June 19, 2012 at 5:51 pm

itunes is bullshit…still use winamp when im on my computer. still listen to records when im not. nice job james…

by the way does anyone else find the bullshit mask utterly frightening? anyway great job

CANT WAIT FOR THIS FUCKING NEW MOVIE ITS GONNA ROCK MY BALLS OFF! :D

  • z_thompson

    June 19, 2012 at 5:57 pm

I agree I haven’t used anything but Winamp. I just use iTunes to download certain CDs I can’t get anywhere else!

  • June 19, 2012 at 5:57 pm

    Ah, the wonders of DRM.
As for the “that would never happen with CDs” statement, though, I’ve had my own personal bullshit story about that once.
Until 2006, it was apparently a custom for some music companies to implement some form of copy protection on their CDs which just caused way too many problems with computers and other hardware.

Imagine having a CD that you can play on most CD players, but not in your car stereo for some weird reason. Then imagine that same CD not even being recognised on your PC as a music CD, and you’re not even able to rip it because the software on it fucks it all up.
I’m grateful I only ever had one CD like that, but it was definitely a fucking pain.

  • June 19, 2012 at 6:01 pm

Oh, only just noticed you had the Born Again vinyl. AWESOME.

  • Fei Wong

    June 19, 2012 at 6:03 pm

Im with you James! THATS REAL BULLSHIT!

  • June 19, 2012 at 6:08 pm

Please that mask is creepy and disgusting, please don’t wear it.

  • greedogil

    June 19, 2012 at 6:10 pm

The mask is starting to grow on me, esp when you get to see the close up shots, fuckn gross! lol. You need to dub the new mascot “Bullshit the Hut”, please!

  • Fambini

    June 19, 2012 at 6:13 pm

NOOOOO, you caved and started talking through the mask, instead of a dub over… which is fine… in fact im surprised how it doesn’t screw up your voice that much….. just..

damn what was wrong with the road spikes one?

    either way, awesome episode

  • The Lord of Awesome

    June 19, 2012 at 6:49 pm

I love Zune. It got too much apple fanboy hate. Introducing me to new artists thanks to Zune Pass is always a plus in my book.

  • ptbibble25

    June 19, 2012 at 6:56 pm

I usually just buy the cd, easy to load on my xbox and easy to put on my mp3 player

  • Twilightsucks

    June 19, 2012 at 7:01 pm

Here’s a tip James: don’t use Macs. Or just get Spotify or some other music player. Also, Echoes is awesome, Pink Floyd ftw!

  • patrickpf

    June 19, 2012 at 7:27 pm

in itunes account settings you can deauthorize all computers

  • desentizised

    June 19, 2012 at 7:37 pm

not really the comeback-video i was expecting.

besides some technical inaccuracies (ping has been shut down recently for example) itunes doesnt seem like something the bullshit man would do a rant about, from his previous installments he seems like a more simple minded guy to me (does he really have a mac pro up in the attic? of course we know james might but a man with a face of fecies?) which is the reason why he is so relatable, he has problems almost anyone can at least relate to, while many people may nowadays be forced to use itunes because of their iphones, its still no comparison to how many people in the world have already received unneccesarily huge boxes in their mail or wound up with too many pennies in their wallets.

what id also like to mention is that the overall impression of the video didnt boast the same kind of humour ive grown so fond of from james in general so my hope is that the next AVGN episode will rather remind us of what made us love the nerd in the first place (while we all rocket through the roof waiting for the movie to come out) rather than bringing in new elements like the bullshit man just did in my opinion

    take care

  • fsxman

    June 19, 2012 at 7:53 pm

This damn itunes is constantly updating. I just wanna play a song and an update window pops up as soon as I boot up. Stop Updating so much or do it in the background and it might be ok. Right on Jim, I don’t DL them anymore either.

  • inkBot

    June 19, 2012 at 7:57 pm

    First world problems.

  • Haxornator

    June 19, 2012 at 9:21 pm

Just one of the many things apple is bad at. Not to say apple isn’t good at anything, but the praise apple gets is ridiculous and its bullshit like this that proves they can fuck shit up just like other companies!

  • Howitzer

    June 19, 2012 at 9:59 pm

Google Chrome never asks to update. It happens automatically and you never know until you look at the about box.

  • vTheDarknessv

    June 19, 2012 at 10:14 pm

I just use zune, ive been using it since it came out and havent had a single problem.

  • strider

    June 19, 2012 at 10:54 pm

LOL , the bullshit man mask is so disgusting and disturbing…Love it!!

And stop using those silly apple software.. stick with the old cd`s, rip them..use flac, download free music..anything, but don`t keep feeding that rotten apple

  • mistahtom

    June 20, 2012 at 1:25 am

iTunes updates so often because it needs to creep through your browser and figure out what crap to sell you.

  • Marc1k1

    June 20, 2012 at 1:49 am

This is what you get with Apple James.

You could use so many other things that would be less restricting and work a lot faster as well.

Don’t expect anything less from the company that is only great for making idiots fawn over shiny things that look ‘purty’

  • Metal NES Solid

    June 20, 2012 at 1:59 am

Don’t forget about the silent deletions! missing music is BULL SHIT!!!

  • anticlimatic

    June 20, 2012 at 3:20 am

    YES! LOVE IT!

Been too long without a slice of James brain– Mmmm, imaginatively nutritious!

Why are 90% of the comments about hating on Apple? I think your fan base has been taken over by a bunch of uninspired dolts suckling at the creativity tit– although I’d love to see the episode: “You know what’s bullshit? MY FANS,” I won’t hold my breath.

    Thanks for being.

  • Darth_Revan

    June 20, 2012 at 3:20 am

You know what’s Bullshit? “You know what’s Bullshit ?”going bullshit.
In the previous episodes the “You know what’s Bullshit?” was critical and funny, I laughed my pants off almost every time I agreed with him, but ever since Bullshit man appeared in the previous episode, the funny part is gone and it is all critical now…making Bullshit man appear on screen and dropping the funny part IS BULLSHIT!
Hope you pull it together James because for me your Bullshit series died at episode 15 :/

  • June 20, 2012 at 3:30 am

Search for streamingsoundtracks.com, you get to request movie soundtracks and listen to them 24/7!
That’s alot faster then dealing with itunes, cheaper too!

  • Devil_Rising

    June 20, 2012 at 3:34 am

I’ve always hated iTunes. I hate the format, and I hate iPods.

I’d rather just drag and drop MP3s to my MP3 player, and NOT have to go through all the BS involved with using Apple’s own proprietary format.

But you’re right James….how HAVE we come so far away from just slapping a record in and hitting play? I’ll be honest, ever since I got an MP3 player, originally to use at the gym, I have used it quite a lot. However, I’ll never get rid of my CD collection, it’s too big, and I value it too much. If I really love a band, and really want their album, I will buy it on CD. It will be a sad day if it ever comes to pass that you simply CAN’T buy a physical copy of an album anymore.

Hell, one of these days when I have money to burn, I will most likely get my hands on an old record player (like I had when I was a kid), and work on building up a classic vinyl collection. Why? Just because.

  • qverk

    June 20, 2012 at 3:59 am

You know what’s bullshit? Viewing cinemassacre.com on a mobile device.
This a typical routine for me:
    - Getting an e-mail from cinemassacre
    - Hey, that post seems cool. I’m gonna check it out
    - Clicking my link, see a glimse of the post i clicked, AND FUCK: Get the cinemassacre android app! Whoopdioo, nice to know. Have it on my ios device, but not on android.
    - Continue to cinemassacre.com -> ANOTHER AD FOR THE MOBILE APP
    - Continue to cinemassacre.com -> Finally continues but I’m at the front page. Super! Just great, that’s what i wanted when i clicked a link to a specific post.

    BULLSHIT

  • June 20, 2012 at 4:10 am

I left the beast long long ago and have been settling with Windows Media Player. All it does it play music though…

Oh wait, that’s the whole point!

  • rigormortiss

    June 20, 2012 at 4:10 am

    Use Spotify!

  • Maddy

    June 20, 2012 at 4:51 am

    Oh, James.
    Do not rant.
    Fix iTunes?
    No, you can’t.
    Apple’s got you,
    By the balls.
    You are at its,
    Beck and call.
    But do not fret.
    And do not let,
    It vex you so.
    Forget iTunes,
    And give Spotify
    A go.

(Now, how often do you get poetry written for you?)

Seriously, though. I’ve used Apple products in the past, and as good as they are, I just couldn’t stand having to use iTunes. Why couldn’t I just drag an drop music files onto my device? Why?? Now I have Spotify synced on all my devices: home PC, phone, and tablet, so I’m never without my music.

It’s not perfect. Some music isn’t available on it yet, but more is being added everyday.

Thanks, as always, for the laughs.

  • Nico4

    June 20, 2012 at 5:13 am

Ya know, this is excatly why I never use iTunes, to listen to music… in general. When I’m on my laptop, I plug in my iPod and listen to music from there, sure, but when I’m on my desktop, I use Windows Media Player. It’s been working fine for me in all the years I’ve used it, so I can’t see why I should change it.

  • Kljunas

    June 20, 2012 at 5:42 am

I’m glad I never used iTunes.

  • dicnar

    June 20, 2012 at 6:14 am

I stick with WInamp thank u very much. it haven’t change EVER since it’s realise. Ovcourse there were some changes and sometimes it popes a update box but WAY less oftern than Itunes.

  • Terpor

    June 20, 2012 at 6:35 am

I never used Itunes, but the DRM has been the greatest enemy for the most PC gamers out there.

  • diegowar

    June 20, 2012 at 6:42 am

Ahah, you’re right, Itunes has so many little things that are just annoying ^^

Like for instance, if you start adding musics to a playlist from your iPod, but without validating the playlist so that you can add more songs later. Well if you connect to iTunes in the meantime, it will validate the playlist without asking you, and the next time you want to add a song to the playlist, it will add it to a new one, that’s bullshit.

Another thing that is really annoying, is that I like to download podcasts through iTunes, and then for instance watch the file on the computer, take the file somewhere else to store it. But if for whatever reason this file gets lost, iTunes doesn’t give you the option to download the file again, you’ve got to unsuscribe to the whole podcast and suscribe to it again, I hate that.

  • Hocro

    June 20, 2012 at 7:04 am

You can deauthorize all currently activated computers at once, not that great but you don’t have to “revive” old computers again. ;-)

  • Entrenaturaleza

    June 20, 2012 at 7:04 am

I loved the episode, but shit man is creepy…..

  • thepcguy

    June 20, 2012 at 7:28 am

Why have all this necassary bullshit? Is this some kinda of a must if you have an apple computer? That you have to have “itunes” in order to play music. I never have had any product of apple. All i have is a Basic folder, wich i have renamed wich music it is, and they are basic mp3 files that opens with a Windows Media Player, simple as that lol ..as a mp3 player, im using Creative M (2005) , its a very old , brick looking machine..but its still works, and has worked for all these past 5 years already. You know how i just move the music to the play? I just plug in the bastard into a usb port, open the folder with music i want to take, copy it, paste it to the music folder in my mp3 player…SIMPLE AS THAT. You dont have to use all kinds of “itunes” types of programs and shit.

Go Creative james, instead of eating a rotten apple.

  • thepcguy

    June 20, 2012 at 7:29 am

you know how i move the music to the mp3 player? **** CORRECTION

  • CrimsonFireCF

    June 20, 2012 at 9:05 am

You know whats Buuuuuullshit?! Apple in general!

  • June 20, 2012 at 9:15 am

lol its strange the fact that it goes through all the shit on a mac and not on a PC (the loading thing). With downloading files i don’t should just buy the CD works out cheaper anyway. (Well at least in Australia XD)

  • Tufty

    June 20, 2012 at 10:12 am

Something made by Apple sucks. This is indeed a shocking revelation!

  • AnKun

    June 20, 2012 at 10:16 am

Gee, just store your music in MP3′s in organised folders. Oh, righy, you buy it….. unfortunately the phrase “buying music” is unknown in my country. Insted I can get any song from any artist released EVER any minute I want and not pay a penny for it.

Sorry, but from my point of view piracy is awesome

  • oceanborn82

    June 20, 2012 at 10:49 am

Please scrap the mask. It muffles the sound too much and makes it sound horrible with the different sound on the voice over. Please go back to the old way of voice over only. Much better imo

  • June 20, 2012 at 11:10 am

I just use J River Jukebox. Not the newest version, though, because they removed regular file lists in favor of icons (with no option to use anything else).

  • June 20, 2012 at 11:20 am

@AnKun: “Sorry, but from my point of view piracy is awesome”
LOL! I think that way too!
By the way, free music download: http://asschoes.blogspot.com.br/

    You’re using Apple, duh.

  • CommonOddity

    June 20, 2012 at 3:20 pm

Welcome to the terrible world of DRM. While I do feel terrible about piracy in the sense that artists are deprived of their earnings, I don’t feel as bad about it as I do about the industry in general.

If you really look at it, labels, records, etc, basically have a completely broken ratio to what the artist in turn earns. Out of $150,000, an artist can expect to see, at most, about $2000 from that. Usually less.

The greedy shitnuggets that need to get their grubby little fingers on every penny however are starting to notice that people have been pirating instead of dealing with this bullshit and started throwing down some interesting regulations and lobbying left right and center. DRM is one offshoot from all this.

Aside for itunes, it’s well worth trying Songbird. I’d recommend Banshee, but unfortunately it’s not so table in Windows currently. It’s a fantastic player in Linux though. If you use Mac, however, it might work just fine (As Banshee is written in Mono, and POSIX compliant apparently).

  • fade2black

    June 20, 2012 at 3:34 pm

Isn’t it easier to rip all the cd’s you buy and then save all the files as drm free mp3/flac? If you don’t like digital music just buy the cds :) . I don’t own an ipod/iphone and i don’t know if you are forced to use itunes and drm files only, but I do own a Windows phone and I can sync all my drm-free mp3s (I own all the cds) with zune with no problems.

  • FranzWa

    June 20, 2012 at 4:31 pm

omg, that mask, scares out the shit of me! but great video as always!!

    wfg, franzy from vienna

  • inspectornills

    June 20, 2012 at 4:38 pm

those eyes…they look fake. Doesn’t blink and doesn’t move, so it seems your wearing fake eyes to go with the mask. Kinda reminds me of Leatherface.

  • June 20, 2012 at 4:53 pm

Awesome James… just don’t love the new “3 Stooges-esque” voice of the Bullshit Man.

    New Nerd episodes soon?

  • June 20, 2012 at 5:44 pm

Yeah another anoying thing is that when you go and want to grag your mouse down with right click and choose the songs you want to delete doesn’t work like your normal files on your pc! What if you want to delete many songs exept some other that you want to keep? A true bullshit masterpiece.

  • 3donkeys shooting diarrhea

    June 20, 2012 at 6:00 pm

Haha! So true, we’re getting force fed updates! I like how your voice is crystal clear when you’re out of the shit mask.

  • dhylton

    June 20, 2012 at 6:07 pm

HAAHAHAHHAHAHAHA dude those close up shots really show off how creepy the Bull Shit Man really looks. Also I love that shot of you getting your computer from your attic. It makes the Bull Shit Man that much real lol. Great Work!!! Can’t wait for more bullshit.

  • June 20, 2012 at 6:32 pm

Oh yeah. Things sure go WAY out of hand sometimes. A new idea, a new feature, someone asked for something, quickly put it together, no thought to options, and a new way to slow your computer down. I know I have a program here that keeps nagging me for an update, but the problem is that my system is too old to install these upcoming updates so what’s the point in asking me if I want to install it?

“You’ll be able to listen to 10 songs at the same time”
Got you beat! Opened 20 instances of XMPlay with 20 different songs! XD
Question is, of course… WHY WOULD YOU WANT TO!?

    Great! Now we are talking.

  • June 20, 2012 at 8:11 pm

This might surprise some people, but I don’t use iTunes! I don’t even know what half of those new features are. I don’t even like Apple anyway. I use Zoom Player to listen to my music and my cellphone is a Samsung Galaxy S II. I still use Windows and Android, because Apple want’s to monopolize the market, making us dependent on them and using only their file formats and only their software, which is incompatible with about anything not Apple. I mean, I want freedom to choose my file formats, I want to be able to transfer my files the easy way. I don’t want to be governed by a company that doesn’t accept competition. Sorry, but that’s what I think.

Love the new BS videos, James. Welcome back! I gotta admit, though, I agree with some other comments about ditching the different voice you’re using on the “BS man” shots.

  • bkhcoppertop

    June 20, 2012 at 11:10 pm

James you make a good point. However there is another thing that should be addressed. Not being able to re download purchased songs at any time. Okay so I downloaded some music yesterday and for some damn reason they didn’t download correctly. Now I have some songs that will play partially and then cut to the next song. One particular song wont play at all. Now you’d think I’d be able to simply re download the song but no. I have to contact apple, report a problem, and WAIT for at least 24 hours for them to respond. Now I know some of you are thinking about that new purchased feature on the home page on the itunes store. Well I tried that but apparently I can’t just download it. I’m guessing there are certain conditions required before I can. Now thats BULLSHIT!!!

    Buying music.

I finally had to create a Cinemassacre account just to comment on this.

When I tried to register for an iTunes account, I couldn’t, because apparently someone had already used my address! And the recovery form kept throwing a 500 error!

What a joke. I shouldn’t have to jump through hoops to use Apple’s horrid, semi-DRM, lossy music distribution service.

Not to mention that lossy music should be abolished already! Hard drives and computer networks are big and fast enough now that we don’t need extreme compression algorithms anymore. We need a mainstream lossless music distribution service. At least Beatport understands that!

That’s stupid. No one uses CDs anymore. Ping is stupid, and genius is stupid, but they are both optional. You don’t have to use them, and if you turn them on you can turn them back off.

Bathroom Faucets in public washrooms. some of them have that long vertical knob that you have to move around to run warm water, the sweet spot happens to point at your face lookin down. What if you have to wash your face? you have to risk inpaling your own eye or knocking your head off the faucet. so you just don’t wash it. or you just lean really far back and splash water everywhere around the sink. THATS FN BULLSHIT.

I pity you James, Itunes is the worst and always were the worst music player out there. Start using Foobar or something and all your troubles will be over.

    June 25, 2012 at 12:33 pm

uhh oh, you guys just realized the power you possess (with the anti-endorsement of I-tunes, asking to stop downloading it.) while I think you can really accomplish some great things with such a strong following, i hope that making statements does not replace the quality videos that the cinemassacre crew have built their reputation on. I hope it always remains to be for the love of film. anyways this was a great bullshit episode and i love the new mask. was there multiple people behind it? the voice sounded different each time, i think that actually worked well for some reason. like bullshit is the voice of everyone, hahah.

Yeah iTunes has always seemed retarded. I never used it myself as I stick to CDs or just having the songs as regular files on my computer, or whatever. I’m glad I’ve never messed with it, because indeed, that does look like bullshit.

Nice choice in music, by the way.

Also, I really like how the Bullshit Man’s mouth moves! It’s hilarious, for some reason. :D

I say, you know what’s bullshit!!!? Rooms that have no windows in them. You have to turn on the light just so you can see. It makes it hard to get any fresh air into the room and you have to turn on the light when you come into the room, I say that’s bullshit!!

  • sapslaj

    June 26, 2012 at 11:35 am

I stopped using iTunes a long time ago, it just too stupid. For a while, I switched to just ripping my CDs and organizing playlists, then I found out about Spotify. Now, that’s a good program. It’s like iTunes, but it doesn’t suck ass anymore.

  • keaf1985

    June 26, 2012 at 11:47 am

The other thing that is like bullshit on iTunes is album artwork. It can be hard to get sometimes for specific albums. Sometimes it’s available and sometimes it’s not. Some albums it will show the artwork for, and if not, then you got to go find the artwork online yourself. What a hassle it is to even have artwork on Itunes. And not only is the artwork a disaster, but the missing information and incorrect information on songs from albums is bullshit. You have to go on like Wikipedia and find the correct information about songs and albums and manually enter the information in. That has to be bullshit material!

  • TheYarsRevenge

    June 27, 2012 at 3:40 am

Does anyone else agree on losing the silly bullshit mask??? Damn James, what are you using to hold your eyes that wide — the eyelid clamps from Clockwork Orange??

Plus it distorts your voice– so the full episode plays out as if there are two narrators – (1) I Got Shit in My Mouth Narrator, and (2) Good Ole Narrator James. I prefer (2) as it is easier to empathize with your gripe when you’re not relying on some gimmicky comedic device, or having to sound like you have marbles in your mouth.

The humor of these videos stems from the truth you expose. It’s honest and simple and hilarious in its examination. For me, the mask cheapens this simple humorous truth for the sake of a site gag.

Anyway, glad to see the return of this series, but here is ONE vote for no mask. Not that it bothers me much, but I find it unnecessary. The comedy is in the content.

I physically buy all my music on CD’s and download mp3′s for free. I will not pay 2$ for one file in an inferior format. If the artist is good enough I’ll buy their CD that has waaaaay better quality!

    July 12, 2012 at 2:49 am

Oh, come on, Bullshit Man, just set the damn shortcut yourself if you still burn CDs so often. It takes like 5 clicks. And CDs are bullshit, anyway.

Good episode, James. iTunes is arguably the first pre-installed application that needs to be redesigned, yet all the updates seem to avoid any major changes and just bolt new stuff on top of 10 years old interface. Luckily you can disable most of that clutter, making your iTunes nice and pretty. It bothers me, though, that I have to change so many default settings to set the iTunes up the way I like it, it’s ridiculous, almost to the point when it’s like setting up a Windows PC.

I think there was also an update that deleted everything in your library that you didn’t buy from iTunes. I mean, if they want to stop pirating, sure, that’s annoying, but at least it makes sense. But it also removed the songs you got off CD’s! I mean come on, I don’t even have the CD’s anymore, I sold them, thinking, Oh, they’re on iTunes now, I guess I don’t need these anymore. But now those songs are lost forever. Thanks, Apple. Thanks so much.

My PS3 has the same problem with the limited number of systems that can be authorized at a time, & it use to be a limit of 5 & that was fine because I only have 3 PS3′s but now they changed it to only a limit of 2 systems at a time :/

  • April 20, 2013 at 3:44 am

I simply could not agree more. Something else that wasn’t mentioned is I have bought several songs from them and a couple years later, iTunes says we can’t find that. Um I paid for that! No wonder people download shit illegally. I’ve paid twice for a few songs because I really like them but at $1.29 I shouldn’t have to “back up” my songs on obsolete CD’s so they can just get lost in my room. I get new songs at least once a month. Can you imagine backing up hundreds of songs that often and keeping track of that? Fuck you iTunes.

Yeah, everything Apple does is pretty ass-backwards to a PC user. But still, I own an I-pod nano and have been suckered into i-tunes for the past decade too. Running version 10.6.1.7. Sick of the update prompts. Strongly considering another option at this point.
