@shaycarl
Watch his vids, he is not doing this to make money he’s doing this because it’s his dream!!! I really don’t care if the movie comes out good or not, He’s got enough AVGN video’s to keep me happy. I hope the movie comes out good, and has someone who has a big movie collection and critics games/movies he should know exactly what a good movie looks like! He’s gonna make something awesome.
why are you raging about this anyway?? If you don’t like it then leave. or don’t watch his content, no one is making you donate money to him. I’m didn’t but that doesn’t mean I don’t support him actually I should donate something even a buck or two
Hilarious! I really love these behind the scenes videos! Also, don’t feel bad Mike I accidentally hit my friend once too (gave em’ a bleeding nose, oops). Shit happens.
Just registered for cinemassacre even though ive been watching James videos since 2006.
But im commenting in response to the dude who says James is an E begger… You really have a false interpretation of what James is trying to do. James has been making low budget movies for years and is taking a risk to follow his dreams and make a feature film. I have a lot of respect for him and he is not a sell out. He felt bad about asking and this wasn’t done to scam people. If you don’t want to donate then don’t donate but please don’t make the assumption that James is just trying to get money to scam his fans. Making a feature film without a major studio is extremely difficult and without fan support it wouldn’t be possible.
I just got back from being an extra from the movie and Ive got to say they are trying to make the best movie they can with the people they have got. James and everyone else is working really hard. I’m very happy with what I saw today and I am looking forward to seeing the movie.
Bottom line: don’t complain because there hasn’t been new videos in a while. Making a movie is tough. Try to understand.
So great to see this now that the AVGN’s are taking a break! It’s amazing how much work goes into them, and although I love the episodes already, this makes me feel a bit more ‘involved’ and appreciative of the Nerd
You forgot the #1 rule of throwing a pie in someone’s face: Never use a plate or tin! Always use just the crust so it will break and crumble on impact, that way you can see the person’s reaction and not the tin still stuck to his or her face that has to be removed by either the thrower or the target.
Otherwise, awesome behind the scenes video. I’d love to see more of these.
This is the best Making of so far. Really well put together. By the way is Liam from Birmingham, uk? Thats where i’m from and it was kind of a surprise to hear the accent in a Cinemasscre video.
My 2 fave AVGN episodes are the BB ones. Pure WB mayhem, and hearing BB swear was a slice of fried gold.
I know James is very busy with the movie right now. But I hope he does return the AVGN episodes soon and give us some epic entertainment.
You ever thought about fighting Mickey Mouse?
LOL really enjoying these behind the scenes features. just seeing the creating process and the amount of hard work that yourself and mike put into each episode , like the part where you two work out that the camera sound was perfect for the woody head. moments of genius
thanks again for all the hard work that is put into each episode
Nerd! You need to go on Cnet’.com’s the 404 show. You would love it, its just a bunch of other geeks. They are in NY though. If you ever go to NYC you have to look them up and appear on the show. NERD POWER!!!
This was a fucking GREAT behind the scenes look. Such a crazy and awesome episode. So much work went into it. Keep up the great work guys. I swear, as soon as I get my taxes back, I’m going to buy the DVD 5 pack so I can watch ALL of the behind the scenes!
If you watched star wars on blu ray (the bonus disk) , it tells you they used a similar radio frequency cord and banged it with a hammer to make the laser noise from star wars
It’s nice to see casual James again, without that “director” outfit he insists on wearing these days (as if he cannot be a professional movie maker without it).

It seems like a lot of work went into this episode. Which is really a shame because the episode itself is pretty mediocre.

Hey James, where did you get that bomb from? Also where did you get a stunt dummy from?
April 4, 2012 at 12:47 pm
I still remember actually liking the first game back then.
Also, nice job on the commentary, as opposed to just having raw outtakes.
