       @r3dstar Steven Seagal

  • March 6, 2012 at 4:38 pm

Looks tough, but don’t give up hope. Use that $300,00 wisely!

    • Devil_Rising

      March 6, 2012 at 7:54 pm

@Jingleboy Keep in mind that I’m pretty sure they have more than that $300,000, because James also raised money for a month on Cinemassacre.com beforehand via PayPal. True, a lot of that probably went into the new equipment he bought like better cameras and stuff. But I’m sure there’s at least a bit more there than $300k. But yes, he’s gotta stretch that out, and make it count.

I get a kick out of these “offer” actors, as If It’s them being generous enough to be In you’re movie. I’m sure you guys are picking the right people for the job though. Keep up the great work and the updates are most excellent and appreciated! ~Tye

    • Devil_Rising

      March 6, 2012 at 7:52 pm

@PoLaR_IV I’m pretty sure some of the “offers” are from actors that James and Co. would LOVE to have in the film, even as a cameo. In fact, he didn’t say so, but I’m sure a few of those “offer actors” will in fact wind up being in the film. Not with huge roles, but likely cool cameos like “Oh hey, that guy”. Also, keep in mind that having a “name” in Hollywood does mean that you can command a bigger asking price, which is part of the point of getting into the movie business to be a success in the first place. Sure, some actors can get a big head and be a dick about it. But in general, many of these more known actors have a schedule to build and maintain, so telling someone like James to “make them an offer” to be in his film, is their way of gauging whether or not it’s worth it to them to take the time to be in a small film by a (relatively) no-name first time feature film director, in lieu of accepting some OTHER offer they have to be in something else that might have a higher profile, be more the kind of project they want to do, and/or of course probably pay better.

  • synn06

    March 6, 2012 at 6:44 pm

Why isn’t Mike the best friend to the nerd? Seems way more fitting than to cast someone for that part.

      March 6, 2012 at 11:59 pm

IDIOTS. If you guys are true fans of Cinemassacre, then you would already know that MIKE has already said that he IS NOT an actor and that is the reason why he IS NOT IN THE FILM.

  • March 6, 2012 at 7:01 pm

I’m glad that Mike isn’t being cast as the Nerd’s friend.  I like Mike, but after watching all the other videos on the site and knowing that Mike is James’ friend in real life, it  would have kind of ruined the feel of the movie.  The movie isn’t about James Rolfe, it’s about the Angry Video Game Nerd.  If Mike was there it would be too much like a movie or board game video and it wouldn’t have felt like the character.

    • Devil_Rising

      March 6, 2012 at 7:47 pm

@DrDoug I still hope Mike has a cameo. Mike has never really been in the Nerd episodes as “AVGN’S Friend”, however he has been in a lot of them as various characters. It would be nice to see him play some character.

    • AznBoiZ

      March 6, 2012 at 9:13 pm

@DrDoug I hope the glitch “troll” or gremblin would be included. He’s awesome xD

    March 6, 2012 at 7:09 pm

I really am excited about seeing this movie. Man, it’s been so long for this movie. I hope I can see it in any theater. Will it be a movie in all theaters?

    • Devil_Rising

      March 6, 2012 at 7:45 pm

@TheCrazyEinstien Problem is, to have distribution in theaters, a film has to get picked up by a larger distributor, like Paramount, or Universal, Sony, etc. It doesn’t HAVE to be one of those huge top companies, but you get the point. You can’t just get into regular theaters without a bigger studio picking your film up and paying to distribute it. A lot of smaller films, especially if there is high demand or even more if they have won awards, will be shown in smaller “art house” theaters which most bigger towns and cities have, though.

      • LoganKennedy

        March 6, 2012 at 7:57 pm

@Devil_Rising  @TheCrazyEinstien yeah but we made a zombie film and showed it at universal in florida?

      • scarmullet

        March 6, 2012 at 8:34 pm

@Devil_Rising  @TheCrazyEinstien Lionsgate would pick it up.

    • Devil_Rising

      March 6, 2012 at 7:46 pm

@TheCrazyEinstien  P.S. And don’t even get me started about submitting your film to the MPAA for an official rating, if you want your film to be picked up by a distributor and put into theaters. THAT’S where a lot of cuts sadly come into play in the movie business. *sigh*

  • TwistedSpeech

    March 6, 2012 at 7:14 pm

So the first question is, who are all the big actors who’ve come by? Yes, we want names! : ) Second, how does the wife feel about James acting with hot Maxim Models? I’m sure she isn’t too happy seeing hot models swoon all over “The Nerd”. lol!

  • March 6, 2012 at 7:58 pm

Bruce Campbell is a name that comes to mind for this movie. Whether they asked or he offered, or even considered, he seems great for a role in this project.
I can’t wait for this film. I’m willing to travel to a nearby theater to see it! Take your time with it, but hurry the hell up! The suspense is KILLING ME.

I also agree, Mike kicks some serious ass. Put Mike in the movie.

  • Johnthegamer

    March 6, 2012 at 10:53 pm

I’m sorry but,  this is a low budget movie and you’re shooting most of it in LA? likely the most expensive place in America to shoot a movie.

I would guess you need it to be in the area for maybe the last half of the movie where the nerd finds the dumping site of the copies of ET in the desert or something like that, but besides that you should of just of stayed in PA , take a lesson from Kevin Smith, shoot locally with local actors and your friends, like you have for every other past project, that would  save you a lot of time and money trying to cast and nobody would be charging you $2500 a day to be in it.

Finally, like everyone else I’d like to see Mike in this movie, I hope that he can , I know he has a lot going on just keeping the website up, but it would be nice.

  • Terror89

    March 6, 2012 at 10:54 pm

Mike is mother fuckin awesome…. He should be in the movie… A lot of people agree :D

  • March 6, 2012 at 10:59 pm

I’ll go with everyone else and say that Mike should most definitely have a role in the movie, but my guess is it wouldn’t be a large role.  My guess is Mike would probably be happy with just being a small bit part / cameo while you do cast someone that will work as the friend character.   I hope this all goes well and we can start seeing some of the final product.

    • metalcommand

      March 6, 2012 at 11:37 pm

@josh587 I’ve seen him say it in an a.m.a. at reddit. But that doesn’t mean people aren’t going to want to see him in the movie. Regardless of whether or not he wants to be an actor, would you like to see him in the movie? That’s all people are saying.

      • BritishVideoGameNerd

        March 7, 2012 at 8:52 am

@josh587  “TRUE FANS” CAPS LOCKS!  Is James an actor?

Shut up -   Mike is part of the website, he’s funny,. why shouldn’t he be in the movie.  AVGN movie, serious business

      • Doogrisa

        March 7, 2012 at 12:20 am

@Stonen80 @josh587 Josh is right. Mike is not going to be in the movie. I dont think Mike wants to be in it anyway.

        March 7, 2012 at 12:30 am

@Doogrisa  @Stonen80  @josh587 He may not be,. however,. this is an AVGN movie right? No MFer mike, it would just be MFin’ mediocre.

      • josh587

        March 7, 2012 at 1:19 am

@Stonen80  @Doogrisa Okay I found where it was and he said….
        - I do NOT plan on being in the movie. I am not an actor.
        - I am NOT going to be taking over for AVGN. James will return to AVGN episodes at some point once the movie is shot.
        - I will be working on Movie reviews for the website while James is away filming.

Go to Nerd-Log Packing and search for it. Therefore i am right.

      • CraigMillar

        March 7, 2012 at 2:22 am

@Stonen80 This guy gets it. Exactly. Acting for fun in free videos over the internet is one thing, but being in a feature film is another. Anyone who’s modest enough to admit when they’re not good enough for something is okay with me. It’s the over confident douche bags that make asses of themselves that I think are retarded. You’ve gotta know what you’re good at and what you’re not. While Mike is a very funny guy, I agree, he’s no actor. Then again neither is James, and I’m sure he’d admit to it and agree. Just because you appear in front of a camera, that doesn’t make you an actor. Are you a chef just because you can boil and egg? Fuck no. Theres a difference between doing something and doing it well. James is a fantastic director and behind the scenes guy. His work in that department is fantastic and I love his style, and while I LOVE the avgn videos and laugh my ass off, its clear that he;s just having fun and not necessarily taking it really serious. That’s what its all about right there.

    • Johnthegamer

      March 7, 2012 at 1:47 am

@josh587 He’s been in just about everything else James has done why not this? go back under your bridge troll, be gone!

      • josh587

        March 7, 2012 at 4:33 am

@Johnthegamer You can’t be fucking serious what you just said? Just because they have been in nearly every video together doesnt mean Mike has to be in the movie with James. You trolls are like forcing him to be in the movie even though Mike has said he will not be in the movie and he is not a real actor.

    • kazekirifx

      March 8, 2012 at 1:02 am

@josh587 Hey! Wait a second. From the AVGN Wiki: “Mike Matei is an actor, writer and illustrator…”

      • Transpeptide

        March 8, 2012 at 3:41 pm

@kazekirifx  @josh587Now this is just arguing semantics. Yes, Mike’s been several on times on camera performing the role of a character, which means that he did some acting and that may be enough for some people to call him an actor.

However, normally when we say that one is an actor or actress, it’s implied that he/she performs this craft on a more “serious”, professional level. It may be pretty hard to draw the line, and sometimes it boils down to whether one thinks of him/herself as a real actor/actress or not. Mike does not and that’s about it, he’s not going to be in the movie.

I didn’t realize that the AVGN movie was going to be a decent sized movie with real actors.  So what is this movie’s budget going to be?

    • CraigMillar

      March 7, 2012 at 2:17 am

@bioject He said the budget was originally around 75 grand but the donations totalled to somewhere over 200 thousand, and he plans to use it all. In fact he found that 75 grand wasnt going to be near enough anyways, so he was happy with the 200+ result for that reason. I think even 200 is very little to work with, though im sure much appreciated. Just think how much those big hollywood pictures cost. MILLIONS. even a 200K movie is going to be low budget. But hey, I love amateur/B quality movies. Those are the best kind. I’m sure James will be great with using the money wisely though. He knows what he’s doing, and he’s going to make it the best he can with what he has to work with. So no need to worry.

      • March 7, 2012 at 2:54 am

@CraigMillar I’m pretty sure the total earned was 324k or something like that.  I’m hoping for a total homage to all things B movie!!  He’s gonna rock it.

SoI have a question and I always wondered if this was ever answered. Is this AVGN movie going to be free on here for the fans, or are we going to have to pay for the DVD. I hope I don’t seem like I’m coming off as a snobby person by asking if we need to pay for it or not.

  • FoxD89

    March 7, 2012 at 1:16 am

So I have a question. I hope this doesn’t sound snobby of me to ask and I don’t know if this was ever answered. Do the fans get to see the AVGN movie for free on here or are we going to have to pay for the DVD. Again I’m not trying to sound like I’m being snobby, it’s a question of curiosity and I’ve been watching these for a while but I never saw if that question was answered before.

    • A Person

      March 7, 2012 at 1:24 am

@FoxD89 That’s something I’d like to know as well. I know people were suggesting that IndieGoGo investors should get a copy if they donated $50 or so, but I don’t think that ever transpired. Hopefully it’ll be on here but keep in mind that it’s bound to cost a lot more to film than TGWTG’s Kickassia or Suburban Knights, so if he feels he has to distribute it immediately then that’s his call.

      • FoxD89

        March 7, 2012 at 1:27 am

@A Person Yeah in the end it is his call. I hope its free, lets be honest who doesn’t. However the fans donated their money to him so he could create it and in the end that’s his project they helped with so if he wished to sell it than by all means. I know the fans who funded him would pay for it in the end. Long story short, I hope its freeeeeeeee

    • Johnthegamer

      March 7, 2012 at 1:45 am

@FoxD89 My guess is yes, you likely will have to pay for the DVD, seems only right to me after all it’s fans like you and me who wanted it and James is spending his time and money to make this, so paying like $20 dollars for a DVD is the least I think we can do.

  • Johnthegamer

    March 7, 2012 at 2:00 am

You should of just shot this locally in PA with your friends and local actors, you would be saving yourself a lot of money.

    • Alex_RN

      March 13, 2012 at 2:22 pm

@Johnthegamer If everyone was like you we’d never have anything cool in this world if no one took risks. He’s shot movies locally with his friends in PA all his life, he’s had enoughand wants to risk something bigger for a potentially much bigger payoff. You cant get that if you do the same thing over and over.

    March 7, 2012 at 2:01 am

I keep seeing “AVGN movie” but for some reason I always say “The Angry Video Game Movie” or AVGM. I don’t know why but it flows better in my head. It’s probably best to have it be “The AVGN Movie” though, for brand recognition and all.

  • CraigMillar

    March 7, 2012 at 2:13 am

FoxD89. This isnt an amateur project that is just going to be like any other AVGN episode for free on the website. Well…it probably will be amateur to a degree, seeing as its his first feature film attempt, but seriously….why would anyone question having to pay to see the movie or buy the DVD? This is going to be legitimate, the real deal. Theaters (hopefully) DVD release in stores (hopefully) so why is that any different than when a big hollywood picture comes out? Your question has no grounds. I think buying a ticket to see the movie in theaters, or buying the DVD, is the best way to support James on his success.

And to the guy who said “should have went local and saved yourself some money” This isn’t about money people. He’s wanting to do something big and exciting, not just another average run of the mill AVGN episode. We’re talking feature film here. Go big or go home. I think it’s a little rude to be asking to get to see the movie for free. If and when it gets released, it will be released like any other movie in real life comes out. Not a simple youtube-esque free video on the internet. Come on people.

    • Hotrootsoup

      March 7, 2012 at 2:59 am

@CraigMillar Rude to ask for it for free? Are you joking? The fans donated over $300,000 to fund this movie. I wouldn’t be outraged if he didn’t host it online, and I would buy it, but that would be kind of annoying to pay for a movie after I donated $30 to help it get made. I would be annoyed if he prosecuted those who pirated it though, but that really doesn’t seem his style.

      • AmauryTheWarrior

        March 7, 2012 at 3:03 am

@Hotrootsoup  @CraigMillar i agree with you, but that would also mean those who didn’t give a contribution would get it for free too (like me, actually). let’s just hope the price will be decent !

      • Smallamountofpeas

        March 7, 2012 at 3:49 am

@Hotrootsoup  @CraigMillar  Wait, what? If someone donates to something it obviously means he’s doing someone a favor and not asking for anything in return. I donated 200 dollars and I’ll happily pay for the DVD, movie ticket and possible plane ticket to the U.S. if there’s a premier or something.

      • Luenchhausen

        March 7, 2012 at 4:57 am

@Hotrootsoup James have plans to bring this in the theatre so guess what . You seem to misunderstood the meaning of the word “donation”. It didnt mean that the guy you donated to owes you something. James Said that all donators will get something and will be mentioned in the movie so what do you want?

      • March 7, 2012 at 6:33 am

@Hotrootsoup  @CraigMillar It’s annoying to have to pay to watch a movie you donated to? So then you weren’t really donating, you were buying an advance copy of the movie in your opinion? And you’d be annoyed if he went after people who pirated it? Why? It’s his first feature movie and he’s working hard to make it and we all donated a lot to fund it, I don’t think anyone wants to think that all the time, money and energy that went into this is being leeched off of by a bunch of greedy jerks who can’t pay the few bucks to go see it. Don’t be dumb. I hope he does charge for the movie. He should. He moved to the other side of the country and is spending a lot of time making it, he deserves to make money on it. This is his job, don’t forget!

      • Alex_RN

        March 13, 2012 at 2:18 pm

@Hotrootsoup  @CraigMillar Go look up the definition of the word “donation”. It means giving away money in favor of something without expecting anything in return. You donated to help get the movie made, not to watch it. For that you must buy a ticket or buy the DVD.

        Jesus Christ, people.

James looks like he has a big grin in this video, like he just landed a major star that he wants to keep secret.  I’m hoping major producers don’t lump AVGN with other “niche humor” films.  For example, it seems like the Tim and Eric Billion Dollar Movie has gotten some negative reviews from a broad audience who don’t really understand their weird humor.  I imagine the AVGN movie will be a bit more down-to-earth and easy to sell to a broad audience.

  • CyrilWindlovver

    March 7, 2012 at 4:50 am

Harold & Kumar – disgusting, addictive and stupid comedy, that ain’t laughable. And it shows all Hollywood nowadays. I don’t know, what drug-diller is paying to the major studios, but almost in every new movie we can see some crack, cocaine or other stuff. Think about it, guys. Is it really so popular in USA to be f**king addict? Please, James, don’t sell drugs with your new movie – if someone will say, that ‘here will be funnier, if someone will be on crack or smt’ – don’t believe him, it isn’t funny at all it just wasting screen time.

  • transfixed32

    March 7, 2012 at 4:50 am

I’d rather see actors that aren’t famous in the movie. I think when famous actors are in a small budget movie, you can’t really get into the movie like it’s real. You just think it’s a famous actor playing the part.

If I didn’t have those bills, I’d have done it for zero, just because I enjoy the Angry Video Game Nerd so much. I just hope this gets made soon or we get another bad game to get reviewed before that though. I miss them, a lot.

    March 7, 2012 at 6:23 am

Some of you kids are very clearly delusional as fuck.

    1. This will NOT be in theaters, outside of maybe some little art shows he’s hoping for. I’ve seen some idiots talking about oh I can’t wait to see it in theaters in my shitty third world country, seriously? It’s not even going to get a run in the US.
    2. It won’t be sold in stores. Not sure what you don’t understand about indie films with no studio…
    3. Donators, most of you are entitled idiots. Go look up the word DONATION. Sure you (and by you I mean everyone because YOU probably gave $10) DONATED to get the movie MADE, not for the movie. That would be like donating to red cross than walking in and telling them they owe you a cooler of blood. Don’t be idiots.

    • Luenchhausen

      March 7, 2012 at 8:12 am

       @Khameleon
      1. Well on a Q&A on some Convention (forgot the name) James said that he will try to get it theatrically released so a clear “no” is simply wrong. Looking at the Budget and the affort he spent, I think a US-Wide release is realistic.

      2. A Store-Release (means on DVD) is realistic aswell. I think james will not limited his frist great movie release just to his online shop (that would be stupid). Indie does not mean “not public released”, there are many indie Movies that were made without a major studio but theatrically released and a financial success.

      3. I agree on that point.

      • BreanStilz

        March 7, 2012 at 2:25 pm

@Luenchhausen He might get it in a couple of major cities, but no, a US-wide release isn’t realistic. I’m thinking maybe 5 or 10 screens for a couple weeks, maximum. Probably on the West and East coast (LA/NYC). Maybe something in PA? Not trying to shit on the movie, I’ve donated and support it, I’m just going by my experience with other celebrities making their own indie movies and how well they’ve done. There have been people with 5 times as much money and a hundred times more exposure than James who haven’t escaped getting their indie movie shown on less than 100 screens. James’ best bet is to hinge less on the theater portion of the quest and focus on the DVD side of things. That’s where the movie will see its largest returns and greatest life span. If he can snag a decent distributor who will buy DVD rights and get all of us to spread the word and go write a nice 5-star review for it when it’s selling on Amazon, he might see a net positive on returns vs. movie expenditures.

      • BreanStilz

        March 7, 2012 at 2:29 pm

@Luenchhausen Might be worth it to see about shopping the movie to conventions. PAX seems like a no-brainer.

      • Luenchhausen

        March 7, 2012 at 2:42 pm

@BreanStilz Why is it unrealistic? there were Indie-Movies with less budget and public awareness that made it into theatres world-wide. It depends on how the actuall movie is at the end.
I bet the movie will get some screenings over conventions (like you said).
If the demand is there, the movie will make it. Of corse if i talk about theatrically release i mean of corse small theatres no big stuff.

        March 8, 2012 at 4:24 pm

@BreanStilz  @Luenchhausen Funny fact: the first Halloween movie had a budget of $325,000 (the IndieGogo fundraiser ended with that amount of money) and was also an independant movie. Just saying.

      • BreanStilz

        March 13, 2012 at 7:12 pm

@Luenchhausen Name these low budget (AVGN budget-type) movies that got national play time in thousands of theaters, please? I’m thinking that’s about as rare as a Michael Bay moving not having an explosion in it. If it were to happen, it has to garner the support of someone very well off to fund a relatively unknown movie going from arthouse to AMC/Regal/Etc. theaters. Don’t know if James has that sort of person in his pocket.

    • Qufa

      March 7, 2012 at 12:57 pm

@kazekirifx When has Mike ever played as his friend on AVGN?

      • March 7, 2012 at 4:42 pm

@Qufa I get what he’s saying. The nerd’s never had a best friend in an episode, but we’re all pretty well aware that Mike is at least one of James’ best buddies, if not the best, so it just follows intuitively that it would be Mike. I’m not complaining though; there’s no doubt that whoever they cast for that role will be well suited to it. I mean check out the effort they’re putting into this casting process! You don’t go through all that and end up with unsuitable actors! It’s actually a shame ol’ Kev here doesn’t seem to be in the movie. He was awesome as the Glitch Gremlin.

      • JeramieKruger

        March 7, 2012 at 7:42 pm

@Boddrick  @Qufa Ya… It’s going to be really odd seeing some actor paid to portray James’ best friend… When in reality, I think everyone would be just as happy, if not happier to see James’ REAL best friend on film next to him through this adventure.

      • Khameleon

        March 9, 2012 at 4:07 am

@Boddrick  @Qufa ….you know AVGN is a CHARACTER, right? How many movies do you think have the actors legitimate best friend in it? Exactly.

      • kazekirifx

        March 7, 2012 at 7:44 pm

@Qufa True. I meant exactly what Boddrick said. The Nerd has never had a best friend in any of the videos, but for fans who watch all the other videos on Cinemassacre, it still seems like the Nerd’s friend would be Mike. I will be happy with whatever casting decision James makes in the end, but watching the movie might still feel a bit to me like they casted someone other than Dana Carvey as Garth for just the Wayne’s World movies, after using Carvey in all the SNL sketches.

    March 10, 2012 at 10:14 am

So that’s why all his movies are freaking awesome.
He did them with friends he could trust, and in turn his friends are casual enough with James to be able to actually work with their respective characters really well.

I guess he’s still human after all, and this recruitment thing might be one matter that he’s weak at.
    Hang in there, James!
    You have my support.

Yeah, I know I’m not doing much by saying that. Guess I’m a stupid banana raincoat wearing bitch :(

I suposse James and his staff knows Dodger Leigh, I think she is funny and talented and might be good for some role in the movie, besides she is good looking, lives in L.A. and her roommate was in Scream Queens so I think there are 2 good actresses that might fit in the movie.

  • March 12, 2012 at 3:16 am

If you’re still doing casting, I am willing to do some voice acting if you need a Unicron, Zoidberg, Mario etc. characters I can be your guy!

  • SmashBrother

    March 12, 2012 at 1:14 pm

Yeah, if there’s any casting calls for voice actors that don’t need to live where you’re filming, then I’d be up for auditioning.

  • March 12, 2012 at 1:31 pm

I also live 20 minutes from Los Angeles as well.

  • Davy

    March 13, 2012 at 2:41 am

I wonder what websites James used to submit casting calls for his early short films?

    • LukasSprehn

      March 13, 2012 at 5:40 pm

@Davy He used to ask just strangers, but I think he’s tried out newspapers as well, and definitely the University of Arts in Pensylvania :) There weren’t that many – if almost none – sites for that back then, and it’s still a relatively new thing. Before we only used these so called physical actors and actresses catalogues. We actually still do though :)

    • Rgcool

      March 13, 2012 at 4:04 pm

@Cole_Patrick I didn’t see anything wrong with this video what so ever, they were pretty nice about everything and professional about it all. These guys aren’t big budget producers, so for people to not even read a script but demand money is asinine, greedy and unprofessional.

    • LukasSprehn

      March 13, 2012 at 5:34 pm

@Cole_Patrick Sorry, but please take the time to answer these questions: Why and why?

    To James and crew,

I hope you had taken my cast idea that I offered before. Like I said, I had been here since the very VERY beginning, so I am here to give honest help.

Although the choice I suggested was a bit of an awkward choice, it’s the smart choice.

By the way, the email has changed so don’t bother trying to email it.

  • MelodytheNerd

    March 15, 2012 at 4:33 pm

i think pat the nes punk should be in it with him. i was reading comments before that said someone was gonna play the nerd’s best friend. if mike matei can’t be in it, then pat would be an awesome choice

    • Kaleidoscopic God

      March 15, 2012 at 5:12 pm

@MelodytheNerd I dig Pat, but… please no. He’s a seriously bad actor and would bog the overall quality of the movie down significantly.

@Kaleidoscopic God haha indeed. However, he just recently like 2 months ago introduced me to James and the AVGN character. Before AVGN, i was just a video game, anime, Theater and art nerd. We quote AVGN all the time lol XD

  • AaronScottFeatherman

    March 16, 2012 at 3:11 am

I dont want to see a fake video steering away from what you are. a best friend? yea mother fucker mike should be in the movie. and many other internet characters like doug walker. not staying in the nerd formula will make the movie crappy . dont go fake. wtf are you doing?

    • AaronScottFeatherman

      March 16, 2012 at 3:15 am

since the fans paid the money fans requests should be in the film… you dont need outsiders when you have great people in your videos all the time. im disapointed this is a outrage.

      • EdwardElric

        March 16, 2012 at 9:24 am

@AaronScottFeatherman The fans didn’t pay the money , it was a donation , no one made them “pay” . If every fan request was to be used then the whole thing would be a big pile of a lot of things

  • MelodytheNerd

    March 16, 2012 at 4:36 am

i agree. i don’t remember what video it was but one of them said something like casting a “best friend” role for the nerd. who knows, some information on here might be misleading on purpose in order to keep from giving away too much about the movie before it’s actually made.

  • MECHAGARY

    March 17, 2012 at 11:43 am

Some people are griping about Mike not being in the movie, and I agree, but it’s already been decided, and Mike has admitted he’d rather hold the Fort down, and not be in the movie. Hats’ off to Mike.
However, if you’re looking for a best friend for the nerd, who won’t charge $25,000.00 a day?,,, Look no further than this guy.

    Hey James,

I’d like to say that It’s been quite an interesting ride watching you from your humble beginning to now.  You’re living your dream and I think it’s excellent that you’ve achieved so much.  I’m really looking forward to the AVGN Movie, front the sound of things it must be such a monumental project that I don’t think i can fully wrap my head around it.

I can’t get over how exciting it must be for you working with acting talent around the United States.  And from the looks of things, it’s taking it’s toll on you guys, you both look exhausted!  Anyways, thanks for the update, looking forward to more!:)

So, when will the decisions be announced?

  • TheProfessor

    March 19, 2012 at 2:07 pm

I don’t know where to post this or even if James will read it, but I’m curious if Nathan Barnatt has been approached about a role in the movie as his character Keith Apicary. If not, they should. Other than AVGN, he’s my favorite “video game” personality. They guy’s original, funny as shit, a pretty good actor, varied and creative and as I understand lives in L.A. He’s also got a few movie appearances and done national commercials…..

It looks like Lloyd Kaufman might be in the movie, or at least it says so on his wikipedia page, under filmography: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lloyd_Kaufman

    • Kaleidoscopic God

      March 25, 2012 at 7:47 pm

@JohnBurchamErwin Well, that is fucking amazing. But I’m not sure if this can be trusted. Who had this information? Who added this there? Apparently the two have met before, though: http://cinemassacre.com/2009/08/24/pics-from-monster-mania-con-13/ Maybe they did manage to get in contact?

        March 26, 2012 at 2:42 am

@Kaleidoscopic God Who knows. Two things that sort of make sense, though: James is from New Jersey, and Kaufman is known to make lots of appearances in low-budget movies. I’m willing to believe it’s true!
