Look what I found in an old filing cabinet. These are a couple scraps of paper from when I was trying to come up with a new production name, about 11 years ago approximately. At the time, it was called Cinematica, but I found out that there was TV studio that had the name already, so I decided to change it to something better. As you can see, I thought of a lot of names. I had no idea these scraps of paper still existed. I think it’s a neat find, because it’s the very first time I ever typed the name CINEMASSACRE.

Surely, Cinemassacre is the best. No shit, guys, this is really something different.
December 24, 2011 at 11:33 am
The only one I think would have been equally cool would have been Cinemafia,
James and Mike – The Mobsters Of The Film Industry,

Glad he chose Cinemassacre though….
December 24, 2011 at 11:36 am

I’m posting this again because I don’t know if you saw it in the last blog post but here you go. Hey James, hey Mike. I don’t know if you will have the time out of your busy days to check this out, but this is the answer James was looking for on the Zelda timeline, Nintendo finally answered. This is the translation of the the 25th anniversary book Nintendo released in Japan, with the official timeline= http://www.zeldauniverse.net/wp-content/uploads/20…

I like cinemadness and cinemaximum. but I also like Cinemassecre. I always assumed that it was called that because you really like slasher movies, or something.
December 24, 2011 at 8:24 pm
So. Many. Fucking. Puns.
My heart is failing me.
December 24, 2011 at 10:50 pm

But it worked! I’ll have to remember that next time I need a name….

I am somewhat surprised that “Cinemonolith” isn’t on the list. But you clearly made the right choice. Couldn’t imagine it any other way.
December 25, 2011 at 12:57 am
I find it interesting that cinnemassacre happens to be at the top of the list on the side.

December 25, 2011 at 4:28 pm
You probably would have been sued by Cinemax if you used Cinemaxium. I’m surprised I didn’t find Cinemayhem up there.
December 26, 2011 at 11:43 am
@Firewall_Philip_Hanan cinemayhem haha i like that.

December 26, 2011 at 7:30 am
Cinemama? Looks like Cooking Mama should have done something about movie and film for her next game though.
December 26, 2011 at 5:20 pm
Heh cool. Maybe if I ever start a production company, I’ll use one of those rejected names.

December 28, 2011 at 3:56 pm
The name you eventually picked wasn’t very good. You should have picked Cinemassacre.
December 28, 2011 at 4:57 pm
I Found it funny that U even considered Cinemarijuana.. I glad U choose Cinemassacre as Ur finally Choice.. Atleast I know that there was time in Ur life.. That U enjoyed for the finer things of life..
December 29, 2011 at 1:39 pm
@shadowgam3 This is barely English. Reading this made my brain hurt.
December 28, 2011 at 6:58 pm
Mammoth Productions… sounds like the potential music-publishing arm of Cinemassacre. (Heck, if Saban and Warner could get away with it, why not?)
December 29, 2011 at 2:09 am
Pretty fond of Cinemanana
December 29, 2011 at 5:11 am
The name should really fit the sturdy ruggedness of the site, it should be called, Grooseland
December 29, 2011 at 9:08 am
Some of the ideas are embarassing though
December 30, 2011 at 12:34 am

You should do a Top 10 Drug Related Movies under the “Cinemarijuana Productions” name.
January 7, 2012 at 2:31 pm
@TweetAlexM I can just see it now… with such pseudonyms as “Hal Roachclip”…
January 4, 2012 at 7:23 pm
Thank God you didn’t get mock God with Cinemessiah.
January 4, 2012 at 11:29 pm
i mean that would be bad…..if god was real @Firewall_Philip_Hanan
January 7, 2012 at 4:25 pm
@AlphaBetaCool
Well, it’s bad then.
January 8, 2012 at 1:27 pm
@Firewall_Philip_Hanan
Judging from James’ comments on the Bible games and… well… Ultra Mecha Death Christ, I’m pretty sure James doesn’t really give two sh*ts about god.
January 8, 2012 at 4:35 pm
@Pappakassi@Firewall_Philip_Hanan There is a cool new thing called “JOKING”…I think it applies here…not everything someone says is too be taken seriously, especially from some like James.
January 17, 2012 at 7:25 am
@Firewall_Philip_Hanan@AlphaBetaCool yeah let’s start a religious debate.
January 26, 2012 at 3:41 pm
@MarkusRussak@Firewall_Philip_Hanan@AlphaBetaCool yeah, cause, you know, one of the sides HAS to give eventually
Look, neither atheists or theists are gonna give a single edge on their beliefs, so just SHUT THE FUCK UP and enjoy James’ work.
January 6, 2012 at 5:52 pm
CineMAELSTROM!!!!! That would be some heavy duty shit.
I’m rather entertained that you even thought of “Cinemad”
January 6, 2012 at 6:00 pm
I think I’ve been successful in finding all of the potheads out there.
Not hating on you guys, but it’s funny as hell to see everyone look at Cinemarijuana, and instantly think that it’s the greatest thing ever.
By the way James, you said you were approximately 11? What would your mother say had you called it that? lol.
January 6, 2012 at 6:01 pm
ok…11 years ago… makes more sense.
January 7, 2012 at 4:25 pm
Since you review movies, TV shows, and video games, it’s kind of like a sandwich right? So you could have called the site Cinemanwich.
January 7, 2012 at 4:27 pm
Cinemachismo would have been great.
January 8, 2012 at 1:42 pm
Cinemachine would also have been great. Rolls right of your tongue, but I guess Cinemassacre was a more fitting name since you specialize in Horror flicks.
But I’m also curious, why Cinemarijuana? Haha, was it just something you thought of the top of your head or did you get some “inspiration” for that one? xD
January 9, 2012 at 5:00 pm
Cinemacaroni would have been awesome.
January 11, 2012 at 12:42 am
Cinemadness sounded awesome though
January 11, 2012 at 2:34 am
Seriously no love for Cinemafia? They would’ve been awesome. The Cinemassacre group as Cinemafia, a Flim Making Mafia. But Cinemassacre is the best just by the way it sounds and also how much it represents.
January 16, 2012 at 10:57 pm
I hope you know I’m stealing Cinemacaroni
January 21, 2012 at 4:43 am
it’s always neat to find those little bits and pieces of notes, that you never thought you had kept or tossed somewhere.my same reaction when i find old drawings.
January 28, 2012 at 10:18 pm
