i am from Brazil and most of thid board game i never saw.But splat is one i saw a long time ago, more like 10 year ago,man i still remeber this game because you could splat the shit out of the bug.I loved that game.
Nice video, coupla lolz. But, something is seriously bothering me: BLB was wearing a Mets cap in the last video he was in, correct? Here, he’s rocking a Blue Jays chapeau (Joe Carter? World Series?)?!?! I know James is from the Philly area, as am I. I’m probably reading too far into this, but is BLB a hater of the Phillies? If so, I’d like to say right on, I’m right there with you.
Or, maybe we’re just both a couple of “boobs.” Either or, really. In all honesty, though, this is making me feel like some sort of fucked-in-the-head conspiracy theorist…can someone please let me know if my suspicions are well founded or not? That would be kick-ass.
Funny game. I live in Belgium and never heard of this one. It seems funny but besides splatting your bug, you don’t have to do much so it would be boring fast I think.
Actually, I had the first one when I was a kid, the one with the little characters and the knife, the roller and all the traps. I used to play it a lot but after several years the play-doh was completely wasted, dirty or all colors mixed together so it was impossible to play. I think I still got it in my attic, so I should try it again, see if I can’t find some new play-doh in stores nowadays. With all the traps on the board, it reminds me of the mouse trap game that you also reviewed. That game was also really funny (its problem was the little spring that I lost all the time).
For a moment there, I thought you were gonna play Grape Escape. Would’ve loved your coments on kids massacring little grape men. Rather violent. Is the movie getting to you? I guess all I could think during all of this was is BLB gonna die? Ok, maybe the playdoe isn’t that potent.
Did you use stock sound effects for the barfing sound or did you record it yourselves? If you did record them yourselves I’d like to know how you did it cause the sounds are really disgusting
Oh God, how much playdoh did he eat? xD I’m starting to think that the board games should come with the label: “Not for: children under 3 years old or Bad Luck Bootsy”
Am I the only who was thinking “Don’t smoosh the different colors of playdoh together, you can’t ever separate them again!” We did that once as kids and ended up with a disgusting brown mass.
I’m very grateful that all vomiting was off camera. The sound effect is more than enough, I didn’t need visual effects.
I totally forgot about this game until seeing this video. Sadly I never played it, but I remember the ads for it. Bad Luck Bootsy fucking shit up again….lol Great video guys!

I’m sorry, James, but this one sucked. There was no need for Bad Luck Bootsy to be eating and puking up Play dough. I say re-do this piece of crap without him in it. Thanks for ruining mine, and apparently a lot of other’s, appetites.
@TwistedSpeech Wait a second. Who actually loses their appetites when watching a film? It’s a sound effect. Is your mind so frail that you can’t withstand a sound effect without getting sick? How pathetic.

Just like I’m entitled to the opinion about the both of you being complete, irrational fools? Nice hypocrisy you’ve got here.
Actually, criticism is only taken seriously if it has logical reason behind its nature, but just bitching like a little girl isn’t going to get the job done. Fuck Ebert and Roeper, we could just have a forum full of little twats like you two to critique everything.
So, your defense of criticism is moot when non-journalistic criticism is still, regardless of how you defend it, still just a person with sand in his or her vagina.
But, you’re most likely a child. As a result maybe you should have your parents raise you more efficiently without having to rely on the electronic baby-sitter. and A.V.G.N. episodes Maybe they should give you hugs now and again, too?

@gamez Here is the problem. In the same paragraph you state “Hey dumdshit everyone’s entitled to an opinion… Criticism is a good thing sometimes”
The problem is your opinion is not criticism. It’s just your take on it. Criticism is something that should be constructive, well thought out, invocative and supplemental to the piece.
Artists, writers and performers can’t do anything with “you suck. go back to the old stuff” and ” this was lame”. They can however do something with statements like ” I liked the use of pun and metaphor in your other piece, “x” and the use of it here wasn’t nearly as effective” etc etc.
See one actually is an attempt to support and discuss the piece, the other is just blasting an opinion and walking away. I doubt James has an issue with hearing criticism, but blatant opinions, good or bad, are just leaves in the breeze. Sometimes nice, sometimes annoying. Always transient.
Don’t bother defending those that choose to come here and flame James and his work with no real words to back it up or constructive input to help. It really makes you look foolish.

Haha.. Ya know I have to think James is using these current video’s to test the waters of his fans and get a feel for what they can handle, what they enjoy, and what they hate. Then he knows more with this Barometer for the film starting up soon.
I enjoyed the episode, surprised as Iwas to see it today. I like how you used the sound effects to utterly gross out the fans without actually feeling the need to go to gratuitous barf shots. Though it’d have been humorous if you used after effects to make thebarf just a stream of play-dough shapes randomly falling out his mouth as if never chewed.. hehe… But since it’d ruin the continuity of shots where bootsey is chewin on the stuff it wouldn’t work I guess.
Fun stuff, will be interesting to see what bootsy looks like next time he shows up. Eye patch, bandages, then.. horrible rash or skin discoloration? Maybe he turns into a mutant play dough man ? mmm that’d be fun to mess with. Lots of possibilities there…
You know what James succeeded in more then most of Big filmmakers? Makin vomiting and shitting scenes!! Man, those are totally gross, just like they should be. The only ones who do it better then James are makers of copro porn.
Well, at least it truly takes skill to do that, I respect that
When I saw the title, for some reason I instantly thought of Grape Escape. When I saw you guys playing it at the beginning I was so excited! That was my favorite board game when I was a kid. Thanks for the nostalgia moment
@deusprogrammer Only if you get a fedex out really soon to Santa. Then he might deliver one by the holiday.
This also requires that you were “nice” and not “naughty” all year, in which case Santa is more inclined to hook you up since you obviously didn’t get any sex being “nice” and well.. Santa takes pity on stuff like that…

Awesome video! despite what people say, I think Bad-luck bootsy is awesome. Just my opinion but I think it’s essential to have a character differ from the rest in personality. Gives you much more material to work with. so in short, great video, and don’t bother giving a shit about the non-constructive comments about you, Bootsy.
@ChrisDarkheart Actually, I agree. I think it could have provided more creativity for the script for the guys. I wonder why they didn’t use it, instead? This video wasn’t bad, but I wonder what is wrong with Grape Escape?
I actually enjoyed the subtle references to film in the dialogue and the gratuitous sounds reminiscent of the long kills in the later “Halloween” movies or the pissing scene in “A League of Their Own”.
Bootsy makes another return, but I suppose I would have preferred to see something else happen to him, like transforming into something similar to Clayface, which you could have easily created like the Bull-shit Man. But, without much time to create real, special effects, the episode was decent. Short videos are appreciated, of course, James. The board game dictated how much creativity you could have had, and you did the best you could with the tools you had in front of you at the time, and it worked well for what it was.
On topic of Bad Luck Bootsie (Bootsey? Bootsy?), I feel this character may need some retooling, but shouldn’t be dismissed. I feel there is a lot of room for this character grow.
From my point of view I had and some initial preconceived notions of how the character should behave. I really wanted him to be an awkwardly nice, happy-go-lucky character. A character who is justifiably hated for his bad luck affecting those around him, but unjustifiably abused by MF Mike and Board James. You feel sorry for him.
Admittedly, these preconceived notions are what ruined the character for me and that is my own fault. This may have something to do with the overwhelmingly negative response to this character. We saw so much potential and were disappointed when our expectations weren’t met.

December 14, 2011 at 6:27 am
Not really a fan of the board James, but this video was ok
December 14, 2011 at 8:09 am
Yeah, Blue Jays rule!!
December 14, 2011 at 9:38 am
i was expecting some playdo vomiting special effect…
December 14, 2011 at 10:00 am
Playdough is simply delectable when paired with a nice Chianti.
December 14, 2011 at 10:16 am
I watched this while eating…..
December 14, 2011 at 10:26 am
Great as always, these videos are worth the wait. I love it when u come up with a song to acompnay the video too. Genuis
December 14, 2011 at 10:28 am
I’m sorry, James, but this one sucked. There was no need for Bad Luck Bootsy to be eating and puking up Play dough. I say re-do this piece of crap without him in it. Thanks for ruining mine, and apparently a lot of other’s, appetites.
December 14, 2011 at 11:26 am
@TwistedSpeech Wait a second. Who actually loses their appetites when watching a film? It’s a sound effect. Is your mind so frail that you can’t withstand a sound effect without getting sick? How pathetic.
December 14, 2011 at 11:48 am
Hey dumdshit everyone’s entitled to an opinion. You don’t like it ignore it. What you expect every comment on here to be a positive one and just praise James – no. Criticism is a good thing sometimes. But assholes like you feel the need to just defend everything that James makes and bash the person commenting. @BrockLobster @TwistedSpeech
December 14, 2011 at 11:58 am
@gamez@TwistedSpeech
December 14, 2011 at 12:14 pm
You sound like you got a vagina by the way you bitch and moan. I’m a grown man where you seem to be a loser with a temper tantrum. You’re parents should’ve taught you temperance. Or did daddy smack you around and mommy spanked you one too many times? Hey you’re the one who wanted to bring parenting into this. In any case go play with dolls and tell youself how pretty you look in the mirror lol@BrockLobster @TwistedSpeech
December 14, 2011 at 12:16 pm
December 14, 2011 at 12:22 pm
@sterling.treadwell@gamez
Man, I completely agree with you and Brock I must say. These comments are informative as well as hilarious. “Actually, criticism is only taken seriously if it has logical reason behind its nature, but just bitching like a little girl isn’t going to get the job done. Fuck Ebert and Roeper, we could just have a forum full of little twats like you two to critique everything.” -BrockLobster Hahaha… Oh man.
December 14, 2011 at 12:23 pm
@gamez@TwistedSpeech I had a nice paragraph for you, but I think I’ll take the moral high-road from this point forward with you, instead. Be well.

December 14, 2011 at 12:27 pm
@BrockLobster Yeah because really what’s the point right? You insult me and then I insult you. This tit-for-tat could go and end up flooding the commentary. Just remember this – insulting one’s parents is never a good thing. Think next time before you make assumptions. Reflect on that and i’ll reflect in the same way
December 14, 2011 at 1:43 pm
@BrockLobster@gamez Hey troll, how about shutting the fuck up and just giving your own comment on the video. Excuse me if an almost 3 minute puke joke has gone too far in my opinion. If you don’t like my comment, then fuck off. You’re the pathetic one lowering yourself down to a childish mindset with name calling. You don’t know me, so keep your prejudices to yourself. Just so you know, I’ve been sick all week. So yeah, the video made me sick this morning as I was eating my breakfast. Sounds can do that, of course you wouldn’t know that because you obviously think you know all there is to know. So just shut your fucking mouth and move on.
December 14, 2011 at 1:44 pm
@gamez How about you grow the fuck up yourself. You’re no man with a mouth like that. I made a complaint. That’s my right. James doesn’t need you to defend him. If he doesn’t like what I said he knows where the reply button is. You need to just shut your troll mouth and move on, seriously.
December 14, 2011 at 2:00 pm

Yeah and why the fuck did BrockLobster have to bring my parents into this. Anyway I’m done fighing with the guy
December 14, 2011 at 2:36 pm
@TwistedSpeech You’re a pleasant fellow. This was fun.
December 14, 2011 at 10:50 am
Lots of possibilities there…
December 14, 2011 at 11:14 am
You know what James succeeded in more then most of Big filmmakers? Makin vomiting and shitting scenes!! Man, those are totally gross, just like they should be. The only ones who do it better then James are makers of copro porn.
Well, at least it truly takes skill to do that, I respect that
December 14, 2011 at 11:16 am
@AnKun And now everyone knows you enjoyed 2 girls 1 cup.. lol… Gratz! (Dont’ worry, we all loved it we’re just too ashamed to admit it *snirk*)
December 14, 2011 at 11:20 am
i think this is one of the best board james lol i love the acting in this one
December 14, 2011 at 11:45 am
When I saw the title, for some reason I instantly thought of Grape Escape. When I saw you guys playing it at the beginning I was so excited! That was my favorite board game when I was a kid. Thanks for the nostalgia moment
December 14, 2011 at 12:17 pm
Une idée d’un jeu pour Wii avec un mode solo (possible à deux) sympa et un mode game sympa ? (cc @EjisNeos
)
December 14, 2011 at 12:29 pm
@zTorgi Rayman Origins. Un chef-d’œuvre.
December 14, 2011 at 1:04 pm
To those of you who keep complaining about his non-AVGN videos… Just Don’t Watch Them!!! Some of us do like these videos. Keep it up James!
December 14, 2011 at 1:27 pm
Hey, does he REALLY eat that?! If he really eat, is he CRAZY IDIOT?!
December 14, 2011 at 1:46 pm
@TH93Fin Playdough is made out of corn starch and flour…its perfectly edible and non-toxic…but it tastes like shit.
December 14, 2011 at 1:44 pm
Wow…that sounded like at least 20 gallons of puke.
December 14, 2011 at 1:48 pm
So…can we have one video where the comments sections doesn’t become a hate cauldron?
December 14, 2011 at 2:10 pm
@deusprogrammer Only if you get a fedex out really soon to Santa. Then he might deliver one by the holiday.
This also requires that you were “nice” and not “naughty” all year, in which case Santa is more inclined to hook you up since you obviously didn’t get any sex being “nice” and well.. Santa takes pity on stuff like that…
I’m joking by the way. I tend to agree with you, folk get a little hot around here too easily…. Makes me a bit ashamed to be a fan of this site alongside them…
December 14, 2011 at 2:20 pm
At least this comment was short. You’re last one put me to sleep. And folks on here also tend to turn comments into short essays in their responses@sterling.treadwell @deusprogrammer
December 14, 2011 at 2:27 pm
@gamez Honestly dude.. is that why you come here now? to flame and try and get people riled up? Just let folk be and act like the adult you claim to be.
December 14, 2011 at 2:38 pm
@sterling.treadwell We’ll both benefit by not bothering to reply to this chap again.
December 14, 2011 at 2:59 pm
@gamez@sterling.treadwell lol I farted
December 14, 2011 at 2:58 pm
@sterling.treadwell lol its cool man.
December 14, 2011 at 2:26 pm
Awesome video! despite what people say, I think Bad-luck bootsy is awesome. Just my opinion but I think it’s essential to have a character differ from the rest in personality. Gives you much more material to work with. so in short, great video, and don’t bother giving a shit about the non-constructive comments about you, Bootsy.
December 14, 2011 at 2:50 pm
@Leongeeste8 See what I mean? This is a fucking comment!!! A+, mother fucker!
December 14, 2011 at 2:39 pm
Great video! ! Keep up the good work
December 14, 2011 at 2:41 pm
The first game looked much more interesting.
December 14, 2011 at 3:03 pm
@ChrisDarkheart Actually, I agree. I think it could have provided more creativity for the script for the guys. I wonder why they didn’t use it, instead? This video wasn’t bad, but I wonder what is wrong with Grape Escape?
December 14, 2011 at 2:49 pm
December 14, 2011 at 2:54 pm
Dat bootsie
December 14, 2011 at 2:57 pm
December 14, 2011 at 2:57 pm
What was the game at the beginning? It seemed interesting…
And poor Bootsie XD…maybe was better not eat all that play-doh XD
December 14, 2011 at 2:59 pm
@Kiarachu Grape Escape.
December 15, 2011 at 12:26 am
@deusprogrammer@Kiarachu And he never reviewed that before, right?
