I loved this game! And those are some serious glitches….! You really should try The Elder Scrolls V: Skryim though! THAT’S a game for Mike’s game glitches!

interesting a shame glitches in games are not always amusing cool stuff like this, some of them just piss you off.

@Ness What about Zelda: Skyward Sword?

      • Zym

        December 12, 2011 at 5:56 am

@metalcommand@Ness Zelda: Skyward Sword, though being a new game, has retro origins while Grand Theft Auto hasn’t. But still, GTA has nostalgic value to me.

      • metalcommand

        December 13, 2011 at 2:54 am

        @Zym@Ness I consider GTA 1 ‘retro’.

@Ty Hope Games in Japan are usually toned down in violence. No More Heroes was censored too.

I thought i’d seen the weirdest shit from Vice City. Who’d have known it gets this crazy?Once, I was running down a street at night and this guy had half his vehicle on the edge of the road, sticking inside a wall of rocks. I then pressed triangle to climb into the car and I entered those rocks and fell through the game and ended up halfway on the other side of the map!

  • MRCAB

    December 12, 2011 at 4:54 am

These are getting better. I mean, in the funny/entertaining department.

        December 12, 2011 at 8:54 am

@metalcommand@Nevera VKTRS – I still remember MTV debuting with this song, I was at my grandmothers, what was that, 1984? Remember what MTV was like back then? They played these wacky things called ‘music videos’ lol

We would all run to the tv at the top of the hour because the ‘VJ’ would announce upcoming videos that would play during that hour.

  • dennismuijs

        December 12, 2011 at 8:48 am

@Deleted@Erwinator Just because a game contains glitches doesn’t mean it’s bad. The Legend of Zelda A Link to the Past has a lot of glitches and it’s one of the best games of all time.

      • Erwinator

        December 12, 2011 at 9:49 am

        @MotherFucker Mike@Deleted

Did I say that it’s bad? I said that san andreas has also glitches . I love San andreas. one of my most played games on my ps2.(also for the glitches. I can remember a glitch that makes you headless or discovering Liberty City) can’t wait for a hd re-make to play it again.

  • Big McLargehuge

    December 12, 2011 at 9:11 am

Speaking of Red Dead Redemption, that game is full of cool glitches, though I don’t think they’re always easy to find. Sometimes if you make it to the US/Mexico bridge fast enough, you can get there before the bridge even loads so you’ll be walking on air several feet over the water for a minute or two.

One time after one of the train missions in Mexico, the train disappeared, but the sandbags/boxes and Gatling gun were still there floating in thin air. You could still use the gun, too.

  • t1tanus

    December 12, 2011 at 9:17 am

How about this glitch, or bug or whateverGet a some random car with driver, put it in fire, and then try to steal that car,if it blow up right while you pulling out the driver from the car, you will be able to drive a blown up car, for like 5 seconds. If you use cheat for repairing fast enough, the car will be driveable forever.

  • December 12, 2011 at 9:19 am

I love rockstar games, they seem to always have tons of glitches in them. Some people may not like that, but personally I find glitchy games to be much more entertaining than polished ones. Its like its challenging you to break the rules.

    • NEORaven667

      December 12, 2011 at 12:25 pm

@stylix It has become a trademark of Rockstar, and nine times out of ten they just leave them in there so long as it doesn’t hinder the gameplay

A yes, Vice City. Freaking classic.

Though among the GTA games, I’d rank it my 2nd favorite. Sorry, Vice City’s setting and music is great, but San Andreas and its sheer scale tops it.

You know what game I recall being pretty glitchy? Castlevania: Symphony of the Night. You should try and do that one next =)

  • EthanThomasAppleby

    December 12, 2011 at 9:33 am

Ahhh, there’s nothing like the glitches you get in the GTA games. Some very useful ones as well. Like the one in GTA 3 where you park a car in the subway and run into the corner between the car and the wall and wait for a train to come. It pushes you through the floor and you end up on the 2nd or 3rd Island, I can’t remember which.

Best Glitch ever was the GTA3 Weapon Glitch.

You got a few guns for collecting hidden packages, pick the guns up, run into your garage so you can’t see the guns anymore, go out of the garage and voila! The guns respawned

You should do a episode of skyrim game gliches, i have found a fuck ton.

  • Dr Bigs Kimble

    December 12, 2011 at 10:47 am

In GTA IV I blew myself up with a grenade right when the game went into a cutscene after losing a race. The game went into slow motion and when I respawned I was looking at a random view of the sky and there were no people around. I couldn’t even see myself! I could still take out my guns and shoot with them, I even got arrested a few times, but I never made it out of glitch heaven, I had to restart the game.

    December 12, 2011 at 11:37 am

You know what made this game so awesome? The rockin’ 80s tunes. Vice City was my favorite of all the GTA games on PS2 simply because of the 80s music.

Great vid, I can’t wait for the next one.

  • sterling.treadwell

    December 12, 2011 at 11:53 am

    I’m curious about 2 things.

First, is it Mother F. Mike or is it Mother Fucker-Mike. I know nowadays anyone can hyphenate their last names so I’m curious if the title was one or the other.

Second: Do you actually bum equipment off James to do your video’s or did you actually buy a rig to use yourself? Have you considered doin any other video series aside from Game Glitches?

Great video BTW. I loved how you cracked one joke about flintstones in the video and then cut to a shot of you.. with a shit eating grin afterwards.. sort of a nod to all the trolls that constantly bash you for trying to be funny with an ” Eat that you fuckers” look. I laughed at that more than the joke.. lol.

I would totally love to see a glitch review of GTA SA, there are so much eastereggs and glitchs just awesome like the big red bridge, on one of the pillars at the top there is the message “there are no eastereggs up here, go away” :-) Great review by the way :-)

  • Aaron Wolfe

    December 12, 2011 at 1:27 pm

Also, the glitchy world that you access through the mall has ground in Ocean Beach because it’s the area inside the starting safe house. Basically, when you enter the door into that place, this is the area it spawns you into. No point loading unnecessary map is there?

I discovered a lot of fun glitches in Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. Unfortunately I had to use a codebreaker (equivalent cheating device) to do it. There is a levitation code that lets you levitate into the air by holding a button and so far I have not seen a limit to how high you can go.

What’s interesting about this code is that the levitation ability lets you access areas that are normally reserved for Young Link or vice versa. For example when you’re Adult Link you can enter the Deku Tree by levitating up to its leaves and then falling through the center. This allows you to access the entrance.

As young link you can access the Gerudo fortress by levitating over the gate. You can actually do some of the quests in Gerudo fortress as young link before you ever reach the temple of time. What’s strange though is that some of the item placements are either missing or different. For example there is a chest on top of the Gerudo fortress that normally has a heart piece there that you get as Adult Link, but if you’re Young Link and go there, there is a mushroom inside instead.

Finally the last glitch I can think of offhand is if levitate over the wall in Lone Lone Ranch as Child Link, the animation of Link escaping with Epona and jumping over the wall will happen except Epona isn’t there and Link is sitting on air. From here you can ride an invisible Epona around until you get off and it completely disappears.

Mike, GTA games are NOTORIOUS for their glitches. In San Andreas, if you used the jetpack cheat in the gym near CJ’s house and fly through the roof, you can access a ghost world which is full of things including unused interiors for buildings.

    • James___uk

      December 13, 2011 at 6:28 pm

You can do the last one a different way by riding on a PCJ 600 toward the Pole Position club and jump off letting the bike go in the club…then you can get on the bike inside and drive it outside and it will have the same effect…extremely easy way to find hidden packages!

    December 12, 2011 at 10:15 pm

Ah…this game brings me back. Summer of ’09 I went downstairs to my pimped out man cave (not as cool as AVGN’s) and played both Vice City and Vice City Stories all the way through. After beating VCS I celebrated by hooking up the SNES and playing Actraiser and Earthbound.

The reason that the ground lets you pass through is because in that spot alone the mesh of the ground did not stretch out there so the only thing you see is the texture, allowing you to pop right through the ground.

I found a glitch if you drive up to the club entrance and get out of the car and into the entrance you’ll end up in the black void you see from outside instead of phasing into the room. It only happened once to me but I don’t think I tried again.

  • TommyO'Neil

    December 13, 2011 at 12:47 am

If you think about it, it actually makes sense why you can fall underneath the city like that. The entire environment in the game is really just a giant interactive 3D model that’s floating in space, along with perhaps an even bigger skydome that surrounds the entire thing. When designers make the game, they have to program collision masks along the ground of the environment, which allow the player and cars to stand ontop of it without falling underneath. Occasionally the programmers forget to patch up certain obscure areas, and it leaves “holes” in the collision mask of the environment, which allows the player, or any other object in the game to pass outside. I’ve designed several computer games, some of them with 3D environments, and they all work the same way.

    • Lanlost

      December 15, 2011 at 2:28 am

@TommyO’Neil : “They all work the same way”

Incredibly, incredibly over simplified while at the absolute basic level still basically true. Good job?

It’s almost 10 years old. For a video game, that’s old. Popping the game in and playing it, it’s noticeably dated.

One that wasn’t mentioned here that i’ve known for some time is if you shoot a helicopter in the right place (easiest i find with the colt python) it will give the sound effect, and drop down a little as though you had shot a tyre.

In GTA San Andreas you can go into similiar world underneath the city when jetpacking inside los santos gym, there you can find rooms that are shown in the cutscenes. Hell I remember there is a map of that underground glitch area that shows which areas throw you back to surface and where those different rooms are, it’s really weird, some of them aren’t even in cutscenes?

And that helicopter flying right beneath the world, seems like there is a pattern, it works at the GTA IV too.

  • oldirtymagic

    December 13, 2011 at 3:45 pm

Lots of fun looking glitches, most of which i wasnt aware of, you didnt include one that i thought of immediatly when i saw this video though. Not sure how many people know this one but if you have a full garage, drive a car (or bike) right up against it, then get out of your car, the garage should open if youre close enough, then get back in your car and quickly drive in. The garage door starts trying to close or something and makes a banging sound. I remember having a bunch of cars in the garages behind sunshine autos (i think the name was) you could store like 5 cars in each garage. If you start putting more then that they start dissapearing though. Great video:)

    Grand Theft Auto. So awesome.

  • James___uk

    December 13, 2011 at 6:22 pm

I’m surprised how many of these I didn’t know, like the golf one, because I played the absolute crap out of the game.

I will contribute a few though that probably few people know of:

-ok this first one probably isnt to unknown but its cool. If you start a fight with a group of golfers and jump on a vehicle so they cant get you they will start shooting at you with invisible pistols. The game recognises them as a gang

-if you do get your helicopter under the city with that mansion glitch then try flying up from under the waters. I don’t think this works every time but I’ve had my helicopter fly up and end up sitting on the water, and now it can float on water like that other particular helicopter can

-if you blow up other cars whilst you are in a car then nearby cars will chase after you (I don’t know how well known this is but it took me a while to find out about it)

-if you have one of those cheat CDs which allows for stuff like infinite jumping (where you just go into the air until you let go of square) then you can use the infinite jump for something interesting. In the mission marthas mugshot go up to the hotel window where you take the photos from and try to jump out of it with that jumping cheat. You will suddenly be on the golf course. Then finish the mission and next time you go back to the hotel it will have disappeared except for the stairs, you can even fly a helicopter under the city in that space.

Also I found with the infinite jumping glitch that you cannot go on top of the 1st or 2nd highest buildings but you can go on the 3rd highest building without falling through.

Okay that’s all I can think of from the top of my head. I hope someone finds this of some use :D

Mike, do a glitch video of Road Rash Jailbreak! It’s ultimate glitch galore! You can easily go to limbo areas, drive in the sky, jump super high, do crazy flights when falling from bike, and even get a noclip mode. To get noclip mode – go to the city area with huge ships and water on the sides of the road, you must be driving from the area with low blue warehouses or smth, then the road must divided into the industrial area and tunnel, and before the crossroad, where the ships are, press x repeatedly and use a car to jump into the water on the right, if you’re lucky, you will fall off the bike and then walk on water, then walk really far into the limbo area, then you get noclip mode, you can walk thru anything! I bet with your skills you will have a lot of fun, the game’s engine is pure glitch awesomeness ))

I found a couple of glitches in Modern warefare 2 on the X360 both in the same mission, forget what its called but its the mission where you have to take the docks so Price can hijack the submarine. the first one is when your first predator drone is shot down and you slide down the hill, soon after, before soap tells you theres another predator drone on site you can press the left button and use the predator again, the other one i found by fluke and dont know if its repeatable but just before price takes the sub and you make your way up the guard tower 2 troop carrier trucks pull up, if you can take them both out later on when a 3rd truck shows up it will almost ramp the destroyed trucks and be almost on its end and get stuck there, the troops will still get out of the truck though.

Also there’s that glitch where you have the closed bridge and if you use a motorcycle to go EXACTLY at the middle of the gates, you can get to the closed-off island that you can open later in the game…

  • Strazdas

    January 10, 2012 at 7:17 am

Why would you want to play vice city on PS2 anyway? the times of consoles were over by then.

For second glitch, you get behind the polygons. there are many places where you can get in there in all 4 3d san andreas games. The triangluar patch ogf glass is simply a forgetting to make it solid. the return to middle of street is safe-way agianst such bugs so you dont get stuck. they knew they had a lto of those. still my favourite is walking underwater.

  • crovax3000

    January 11, 2012 at 1:09 am

I remember a glitch where you could double the ammo for any gun.

First, you have to select the gun you want more ammo on, then go to one of the rampage missions, take it, then just let time run out. When it does, it’ll double the ammo of the gun you were holding. I don’t know if its all rampage missions, but the one in Little Haiti does it.

    • Strazdas

      January 11, 2012 at 2:27 pm

@crovax3000 There is a similar bug in San Andreas. Go to the ammunition store and enter the shooting competition. you can win or loose – doesnt matter. all your weapon amunition doubles.

  • AadilHussaini

    January 18, 2012 at 1:30 am

There’s a glitch in san andreas much like these ones. If you park a car in front of the gym in Los Santos, and walk in to the gym on top of your car, and then walk back out, you end up in a blue world. If you take a step you fall for a while then the world comes back. It’s like an acid trip.

Der Mond fällt uns auf den Kopf und dann ist alles im Arsch.

This one is definitely one of the best Game Glitches Episodes yet. Driving the Purple Cock Jizz 600 freehanded and crashing into stuff without even moving an eyebrow… that is one cool driver X-D.

Get’em coming! I prefer them over Motherfuckin’ Mondays by far, not that MfM are bad in any way, but I like MGG just more.

Also… Mike, when you’re in the Nerd room and trying to get a C64 game to work and it won’t… type RUN and hit Return.

  • StefanDumitrache

    February 14, 2012 at 6:22 pm

the most memorable glitch in Vice City is the police car jumping from the top of the pay’n’spray. if you have a wanted level (the higher, the better) and go to the pay’n’spray in vice port, very often a police car would come from above the pay’n’spray.

This glitch when only few objects are showing is called interiors. When you inside a building in VC, your interior will be changed. The buildings are placed to interiors in every GTA to high altitudes (in GTA IV & VC, it’s on the same altitude as the outside ones are), and only the nearby objects are loaded. The terrain datas, however (water, land, some of the objects) are still there. Probably the hotel on the beach has the same interior ID as the mall one has, that’s why the part of the beach also has some objects.

This glitch when only few objects are showing is called interiors. When you’re inside a building in VC (and any of the GTAs), your interior will be changed. The buildings are placed to interiors in every GTA. The SA placed it to exteremely high altitudes in an interior (there’s no window where you can look outside, or no enemies coming in, so it’s not necessary to be on the same altitude as the original buildings are, however, in GTA IV & VC, it’s on the same altitude as the outside ones are), and only the nearby objects are loaded. The terrain datas, however (water, land, some of the objects) are still there, but there’s no objects on them. Probably the hotel on the beach has the same interior ID as the mall one has, that’s why the part of the beach partly loaded.

The buildings are placed to interiors in every GTA. The SA placed them to exteremely high altitudes in an interior. The meaning of the interiors: you can’t reach the inside of the buildings even if you teleport to that coordinate, you need to be in a specific interior ID. Why the SA placed those interiors to that high?: there’s no window where you can look outside, or no enemies coming in, so it’s not necessary to be on the same altitude as the original buildings are, however, in GTA IV & VC, it’s on the same altitude as the outside ones, beucase enemies can come in, obviously. The sand texture (which can be seen from the hotel, so it’s loaded) comes into water for a few feet (as in real life).
