Thanks everyone for donating so much to our IndieGoGo page to get the AVGN Movie going. Behind the scenes, my team and I have been working very hard to get everything ready for the shoot. The filming could take place any time between January and May 2012. It’s time to make a damn movie.
The projected total budget is uncertain at the time. We are in the process of hiring a line producer to help with that. We are also talking with special effects artists about costs. For now, I think we have more than enough to get started, so thank you again for exceeding our IndieGoGo goal.

Awesome James. Just PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE make sure you hire a good Cinematographer! 90% of production value comes from your cinematography and from art production/set design. So PLEASE make sure you get those things right! Don’t just buy lights and a camera. Hire someone who is experienced and can give you a pro look!
And shoot on the RED!!! You have a high enough budget to afford it! Don’t mess around with DSLR nonsense, please! If you don’t shoot on RED, then you’re wasting your time.

With 81 days left and upwards of 34k donated in just a few days from the post of this video i can surely think that its a possibility that the goal could get tripled or even quadrupled by the end. after this people i know i myself wanted to donate even more after seeing what the signed photo looked like and i think maybe other people are thinking the same thing. i hope it turns out the be completely fan funded so James can have 100% control over it as he said in the video. My god, James, the donations are sure to reach over $200,000 by the time the donation period expires! I wish I could have donated more than $30, but it was all I could spare at the moment, considering the holiday season coming up.
