I just signed up and I must say I love watching your videos James. Your effing awesome. Now for the video. Awesome video but i started busting out laughing when you said that Christopher Lee played Count Dookie on starwars. But, this series is very interesting. I like this tournament style to see who is the better of the two competitors.
Thanks so much, James! I was trying to remember which movie had Peter Cushing, Christopher Lee, AND Vincent Price, and you reminded me that it was House of the Long Shadows. Also reminded me that Jon Pertwee (the Third Doctor from Doctor Who) was in The House that Dripped Blood!
hehe nice.. yet I cant help but to feel like Christopher Lee is a better monster/villain and Cushing is more like a heroic (ok not in the Frankenstein series). anyway they are both awsome and what would any of those movies be without any of them? not close as good
I would like to say that this video serves as a humorous yet brilliant tribute to the careers and friendship of Cushing and Lee. No matter who kills who, it’s always fun to watch these actors play off one another for our entertainment.
I’d like to see the two of them fight in real life now. Sure, there old, but Lee was the voice of the jabberwokki in Alice in wonderland! And i think Peter has a breat chance still.
I think it’s fair that Peter Cushing got the win. I mean, the guy has been dead for 17 years now, and Christopher Lee is STILL making movies. Gotta throw him a bone somehow, right?
This is why I dont like this kind of vs. Lee is the monster in most, and of course will die most. Were as cushing is the hero usually and will score the wins. This is really flawed to who is the best horror icon. One of my favorite horror icon is chaney sr. Not because of the scary but the sheer effort and acting into turning into these monsters. I love how he is doing sigh language while the hunchback, but most dont see it.
I think to make a actual vs, we the fans of your site should have a vote or poll. Put up a highlight reel of what they did, and let the shining star come forth. I love the correlation of what these stars did together, a truly golden age of horror movies, unlike today with easily forgotten more gore than story. These were memorable.
@ Mr. Sinematic: The second one. It’s a game of numbers; who killed whom the most? James explained that in the intro video.
Well, I’m sad to see Christopher Lee didn’t stand a chance, but I guess that’s what happens when you’re such a great villain actor. He sure gets impaled a lot, doesn’t he?
This is great. Someone posted this on my account, so I came a-looking. Really enjoyed watching the clips you chose and your editing and script is spot on and made me laugh out loud. Great job.

Its only natural for cushing to win sice almost in every movie they have play together he was the good guy! now i know that there’s movies that sometimes the good guy looses but in that particular time it would be natural to have the vampiric christopher lee looses in the hands of helsing.Like belmods always win in the end! nice again james.
Man that’s sad I was really rooting for Christopher Lee but he got wasted! Also something else to add to his career is he does a lot of narration (and sings in atleast 1 song) for the band Rhapsody of Fire, who I believe are some good friends of his.

Would be redeeming if Cushing played one of Scaramanga’s victims in The Man With The Golden Gun.
November 7, 2011 at 12:27 am
cool video james =)
November 7, 2011 at 12:55 am
Wow. Christopher Lee has good screen presence and made an intimidating villain, but Peter Cushing was one bad motherfucker. A true kicker of ass.
November 7, 2011 at 1:04 am
Cushing wins in movies but lost in real life imo.
November 7, 2011 at 3:08 am
I knew this would be a sweep.
November 7, 2011 at 3:16 am
From monster madness to this new series. I’m loving all of this content!

Wow, Christopher Lee never really stood a chance at all in these films.
November 7, 2011 at 8:03 am
Yeah he really got his ass handed to him, still good for both their careers I would say.
November 7, 2011 at 8:08 am
sounded so funny when you said Count Duki
November 7, 2011 at 8:46 am
Cushing wins in the kill count in films but Lee clearly wins the Acting Career contest.

Count Dookee FTW!
November 7, 2011 at 11:20 am
Great video, but a lot of spoilers
November 7, 2011 at 11:22 am
I think its kinda unfair as Lee played the bad guy most of the time, and usually the bad guy loses. Great vid though

Great stuff as always. Can’t wait for the nerd movie.

Re: Riddler
Peter cushing is deceased unfortunately. but how awesome would that be?
November 7, 2011 at 1:51 pm
Peter Cushing is awesome.
November 7, 2011 at 1:52 pm
i dont think it was fair lee always played the monster so he was really doomed to die but i guess it cant be helped. cant wait for the next one.

November 7, 2011 at 2:43 pm
This is great. It’s like Monster Madness never ended.

you guys shouldnt worry if its fair or not. thats not the point. he obviously loves both actors, and has nothing against the loser.
November 7, 2011 at 7:39 pm
Is is just me, or does Christopher Lee look like Brent Spiner at 4:45?
November 7, 2011 at 8:03 pm
I was really hoping it Was Christopher Lee Maybe it’s because we share a name but I am satisfied with the outcome.
November 7, 2011 at 9:08 pm
Out of curiosity, do u pick the winner or do you rack up the winner by watching the films and see who wins?

Peter Cushing is Christopher Lee’s Chuck Norris.

I guess I shouldn’t be surprised that Christopher Lee lost, lol.

yeah yeah whatever but Christopher Lee is far more charismatic than Cushing
November 12, 2011 at 6:56 pm
Thank you, James!
November 17, 2011 at 4:55 pm
Count Dookie… haha. Well yes, of course Lee died the most since he was the bad guy. Still, it was an interesting look back at their careers!

Highly recommend “The Unknown Peter Cushing”, which Bear Manor Media recently debuted (http://www.bearmanormedia.com/). The bio has earned positive reviews on the Barnes and Noble site (http://www.barnesandnoble.com/w/the-unknown-peter-cushing-michael-g-mcglasson/1106031674). The book is truly indispensable to your Cushing collection.

I give Lee a point for living much longer IRL.
