    I think you have the wrong year for Horror of Dracula. Also didn’t you say that Dracula Prince of Darkness was better than Horror of Dracula?

    Love your reviews James!

    I need to track most of these down. I have only two of them.

    Any other sightings for that 4-in-1 DVD? I can’t find it at Kame-Apart.

    Hi James, since revisiting the Hammer Dracula series this past week I’ve been thinking about the Hammer Frankenstein series… question for you, or anyone that can help with this: do you have a recommendation as to what’s the best way to purchase all of those DVDs in a set? is there a good 4 pack similar to the Dracula one? It seems that the Frankenstein movies are split up rather horribly.

    ps. your Monster-Madness is a staple of my October and Halloween every year. thanks! you rule!

    @abject77

    There exists a hammer box set that contains all of the movies, but it is region 2. What I had to do was painstakingly go through ebay and buy all of them individually because the Frankenstein ones are split up really badly. This is because they are made by like 5 different companies. I would say just cough up the money and buy them unless you live in region 2.

    I am very bias toward Dracula: Prince of Darkness, i saw it the most when i was a kid, it was the only one i was really able to understand and it made the most impact on me. I think that Horror of Dracula will always be the better of the series, rightly so, it was awesome! But i think AD !972, looked awesome, it sucked as a Dracula movie, but LOOKED amazing.

    I am curious as to which Hammer Frankenstein movies I should check out and which I should skip. Any recommendations?

    You should definitely check out the first 3, and if you are still interested, watch the rest too. Seriously, all are good, you shouldn’t skip any of them.
