Can you please start upping the audio in your videos, every time I watch something on this site I have to turn up my volume to almost full. Resulting in me crapping myself when anything else on the computer makes the smallest of sounds since I use headphones.

  • RobertHawkins

    September 14, 2011 at 3:35 pm

FYI Christine’s last name is Daae pronounced “die-eh”.

Nelson Eddy plays the romantic male lead in the 43 Phantom. They mean Christine’s love interest.

The idea of Taste the Blood of Dracula is that Dracula suddenly realizes he’s in a sanctified church instead of an abandoned one. Being a sanctified church makes it a place a vampire can’t enter and being in it already kills him. Which I guess means that if you need to kill a vampire, find his coffin around 7am, toss it in the back of your truck, drive him to a church, put the coffin in it and wait for him to wake up. It’s a terrible ending to a good sequel.

  • jessedurona

    September 14, 2011 at 3:53 pm

When I was a kid I remember thinking that the lions would do something scary in Ghostbusters because the music swells up after the camera zooms in on them.

  • jessedurona

    September 14, 2011 at 3:58 pm

@RobertHawkins So he doesn’t die until he realizes he’s in a sanctified church? It’s like Elmer Fudd running off a cliff: he doesn’t fall until he notices :P

  • Kabodis

    September 14, 2011 at 4:20 pm

In the ghostbusters video game that came out a couple of years ago for the 360 / ps3 / wii, ghosts were hiding inside the stone lions, which broke out and started flying around. Maybe the game designers were inspired by the incorrect answer in the book! Or maybe the human subconscious in general wants to see those lions fly around!

  • Godorowski

    September 14, 2011 at 4:45 pm

James bitch, that’s true. Make whole audio track + 6dB or normalize it after render.

  • RobertHawkins

    September 14, 2011 at 4:58 pm

That’s right. I guess the dumber the vampire is, the better their chances of survival. Sort of like the bit in Fearless Vampire Killers where a Jewish vampire laughs at a cross brandished at him

  • Chris Boisseau

    September 14, 2011 at 5:15 pm

I’ve never own this book, I’ve seen the first half of it, but the first answer that Abbott & Costello met was “All but F”. That was their first mistake ever in a book. I’ve seen all of A&C films when WPIX-TV used to aired them on Sunday mornings as part of the “Sunday Morning Movie”. This book was made in 1975, the same year my brother was born.

  • pirate-ninja coalition

    September 14, 2011 at 5:56 pm

erm, if the book is from 1975, im pretty sure the movie with the flying lion statues isnt ghostbusters… since that came out in 1984.

@Truffala Mine *is* actually at full just so I can hear it normally for this one. I went to turn it up more because it was still low and realised the knob was already fully turned. =/ It’s a re-occuring issue i always have with his videos.

  • Michaël Rochette

    September 14, 2011 at 10:54 pm

I really like when James and Mike just chill together, no scrip. Always makes cool videos. It’s always nice when cinemassacre returns to the horror genre, even if I’m not a big horror movie fan. Can’t wait for Monster Madness!

@AmySwaby @Truffala Sorry about the audio. I normally raise it 7db but this time we forgot. We also made these videos a while ago so I’d hate to say it might not be the last one with low audio. It bothers me just as much.

    September 16, 2011 at 12:53 am

    1. True or False: Rick Moranis and Sigourney Weaver played a pair of evil flying lions named Clortho and Zuul in the movie ‘Ghost.’ (true)

    2. True or False: Ghostbusters is a sequel to Groundhog Day. (false: Groundhog Day actually came after Ghostbusters.)

  • SeanDunphy

    September 16, 2011 at 7:48 am

Question 1 is False they were Demon Dogs not lions

  • Culibrk

    September 16, 2011 at 8:19 am

@jimbo18 The book’s name is The World’s Greatest Monster Quiz published in 1975. Ghost Busters is from 1984…what part of that you don’t understand? On end of the video is picture of same book.

  • Russ Turner

    September 16, 2011 at 1:35 pm

If the book was made in 1975, how could there even be a Ghostbusters question in it? Ghostbusters came out in 1984…..

  • JasonArthur

    September 16, 2011 at 2:51 pm

I could have sworn that in the cartoon series, The Real Ghostbusters, the lion statues come to life… if that counts lol.

  • nowhere4321

    September 16, 2011 at 6:21 pm

@gamez Yeah it sucks you have to go into your options (should be a link in the email) and disable all the email options.

@derrick554 You sure in the first video they say 75 and I just looked it up:http://www.amazon.com/Worlds-Greatest-Monster-Quiz/dp/0425029638

        September 17, 2011 at 2:55 am

the Ghostbusters questions are from another book, listen to him go and get another book by another title(which he reads aloud) and flip to page they passed in this book with no mention of Ghostbusters until that point. Please re watch and be amazed. @VI6Roku

  • VI6Roku

    September 17, 2011 at 2:54 am

Yeah guys the book was talking about the original TV ghost busters and not the 84 film unless this book from 1975 some how knew details from the 84 film 9 years in advance. You got to remember your timeline on releasing shit.

  • MatthewEis

    September 17, 2011 at 4:35 pm

seriously James if you were ever to host a horror show, I’d watch it. Your love of Cheesy B-Monster movies makes my Halloween’s something to look forward too.

  • miguel3979

    September 17, 2011 at 7:43 pm

And does anybody know what language “Vampiricidal” is from and what it means? Motherfucker Mike kept saying “vampirical,” but it’s spelled “vampiricidal.”

    • Prophet Wing

      September 17, 2011 at 8:58 pm

Here’s how I explain the word “vampiricidal” – whereas “homicide” and “homicidal” refer to the act of murdering humans (or “herbicidal” for killing plant life), “vampiricide” is the act of killing a vampire.@miguel3979

      • miguel3979

        September 18, 2011 at 9:40 am

I watched The Thing From Another World recently and the book is right about the green blood. Early in the movie the characters talk about finding a sticky green liquid over something and connect with the Thing’s injuries.
