Childhood Comics: FAILED CHARACTERS

James / September 4th, 2011

These are some of the absurd characters I came up with around age 13, but never went on to have their own series, for good reasons. This is a PDF, so make sure you scroll down to see all the pages.

James, I just noticed you use the same 5 box template for all these comics? Did you just make a million copies of this and use them when you were board to draw comics?

Lol, “do something” and he breaks into pieces. Reminds me of a character I made called Goggles, it was just four legs and a head and some goggles. Later on I found out the goggles do nothing, so I had to throw him out.

He he realy creepy and weird characters!

I had a character about the same age called “Turkey n Cheese.”
A hero sandwich, no pun intended… Yeah, he failed for a good reason.

Also, Goat Grandma. Ugh. She may have had potential.

I think “Shit Pickle” might qualify as one of your more recent flops, though; no offense. ;)

I loved “The Has-Been”! Your dry humor and deliveries are excellent.

firefox is saying i need a plug-in… it’s a pdf, shouldn’t it be something i can download, and view locally as opposed to missing a plug-in that firefox says does not exist.

to be fair, i haven’t tried safari yet. i’ve never been a fan of apple, or this fuckin’ macbook shit.
