Ok, honestly, this was one of the funniest Board James episodes so far. The dialogue was absolutely hilarious and I couldn’t stop laughing the whole time. I love these episodes where James just makes that surprised/disgusted face and where Mike just proclaims everything sucks and that Bootsy is a douchebag. Plus, the flashbacks to Bootsy’s previous board game-ruining incidents were hysterical. And the comment Bootsy made about how he likes his women was over the top- I was seriously rolling. Nice work, James- I hope you incorporate this sort of humor into future episodes. I really enjoyed this one.

If you put together this video, Tornado Rex, and Mr. Bucket, I think Board James has become the premier show James has. The production values seem higher, they’re the funniest videos he’s ever done arguably, and they’re really well put together. It seems like he has the most fun with them, too.
I’d love to see more in this style… there’s a great thing going here.

You guys sure do like some gimmicky games. I still say you might enjoy Nightmare (aka Atmosfear), a VHS/DVD board game from the 90s. It’s actually more fun if you play along with the gimmick and discourage friends from screwing around by sending them to The Black Hole space if they disrespect The Gatekeeper.
Nice touch with the eyepatch on Bootsy referencing last time.

This is the first time you’ve reviewed a board game/toy I’ve actually played, and what a game! I played this thing like crazy when I was a little kid until it finally broke (probably from overuse). Nice one!!!

It was a good episode, but I think the review factor of it was a little lacking. You must remember that people watch Board James and AVGN in search of some review quality, or to learn some facts about it. Even if your reviews are over-exaggerated at points, it means more to hear your opinion of a game (whether video or board), than to see special effects or hefty story-lines (not that this was particularly hefty). Remember your original AVGN and Board James episodes, and how popular they were because of the information that you gave. Your most recent AVGN reviews (Barbie and Kid Kool) went back to that style that I, and I’m sure many others, love. Also, I would like to point out that on the subject of AVGN, my favorites are the hardware reviews, mostly because they’re so informational.

I’m sure one of your other fans in Canada will/already has posted this as their comment, but the donut/coffee shop of choice for Canadians isn’t Dunkin’ Donuts or Starbucks…it’s Tim Hortons.
The franchise is named after a hockey player (who played for the Buffalo Sabres & the Toronto Maple Leafs) who was killed in a car crash in the 60s. Tim’s is an especially popular spot in small Canadian towns because there’s not much else to do except drink coffee & munch on “Tim-bits” while you’re having a smoke. Or because so many parents have their sons enrolled in hockey, the Friday night tradition is go to the local rink & stay warm sipping on an XL Dbl. Dbl.
Watch Wayne’s World. They hang out in Stan Mikita’s Donuts, complete with a giant hockey player on the rooftop. Mike Myers is Canadian & clearly a “Timmie’s” fan. Wayne recommends “The Sugar Pucks…they’re excellent”.
I’ve been curious, but never had the opportunity to try Dunkin’ Donuts. Apparently, there’s no market in Canada for pastry donuts…(Tim Horton’s donuts are deep fried, usually coated with chocolate or filled with fruit).
That’s my ranting, ramblings about coffee & donuts. James, Mike, Bootsy…awesome & hilarious video! What seperates Board James from The Nerd?…no glasses & a ball cap.
