Well this will piss off the Nerd. I herd thier was an SNES game that was almost 100% done but was caned with the release of the Nintendo 64. Since pulled the plug on it. Irem sill has the SNES games but unlike cheetahmen 2 the carts never got out and unlike StarFox 2 the rom was never leeked.
man that game looks awesome. love classic side scrolling beat-em ups. they should released it on live and PSN. I for one would gladly pay for it. Ninja Baseball Batman FTW.
I agree completely, this game really needs to come out on PSN and XBLA. I love this game, the quirkiness is what got me hooked into more than normal beat’em ups. Been enjoying this game for years on an emulator. But yes, the public must know about this and hopefully will get a console release of some kind.
Haha, I actually have played this a few times. It’s actually one of the best Beat’em Ups I’ve ever played. It’s absolute chaos in the best form in which it could possibly exist. I definitely recommend that someone create a petition for this game to be popped onto Playstation Network / X-Box Live Arcade. If people create a petition for this, essentially all James’ fans will sign it, and create the urge for these companies to find a way to release it on home consoles.
how did i missed this one? i want this on PSN now!!!!!!!!! but in the meantime, time to download emulators again, by the way, saying NINJA BASEBALL BATMAN feels awesome!!!

Start the e-mails.
Also, @Johnthegamer: This was actually all designed by an American working in the Irem’s U.S.A. branch, Drew Maniscalco, and the Japanese company Irem programmed it.
This game is so beautiful I actually started to cry a bit. There is no reason this shouldn’t be available on all digital download services. Virtual Console, PSN, Xbox Live Arcade. Might as well get it on some tablets too like the iPad.
you know the comment about microsoft puting it on xbox live you sould do tht called them up and tell them look i got a suggestion to make put this game ninja baseball batman on the arcade section cause i would love to see tht game in there cuase i would so buy it but for this game not to be relaesed is bull shit this game would go perfect for the snes there no excuse u know i could see this game selling in stores by the second id love to know what happend did they forget did they or this game was too awsome to be realeased thx
LOL. This is a feast for the senses of epic proportions. It somehow reminded me of battling seizure robots, another (faux) Japanese creation. I feel like playing this game in HD would almost certainly give you a seizure.
The name sounds like one of those stupid Batman action figures they had in the 1990s. I was imagining a neon green Batman with a baseball bat shaped missile launcher that shoots shuriken.
Wow, this short really bring me back to the older episodes, thanks james for taking some time por the nerd episodes while you’re making the AVGN movie plus the work en spike and the other stuff yo do
James, you had me laughing before I could even watch the video. Just seeing your reaction face coupled with “Ninja Baseball Batman” was enough for me.
It does look like a really fun game, definitely not one I’ve seen. I noticed Japanese in there around 1:57, I think the characters were “無念” which means something like regret, they seem to appear as a character dies and fades away so maybe it’s “regrettable” or like saying “SHIT!” when they die… I don’t know how interesting that was -_-
anyways, thanks for this video James! always love to see what little gems you come across (as well as the pieces of shit). Keep up the amazing work, always a fan!
I got addicted to arcade game because of this Ninja Baseball Bat Man (this game has nothing to do with Batman franchise and should be called “Bat Man” instead of “Batman”.) When I was little, I literally wasted good part of my childhood life and thousands and thousands of coins.
:O Holy shit those this game look epic…. But wait a minute…”It should be on XBOX LIVE” !? WHAT WHERE YOU THINKING JAMES IT SHOULD BE ON PLAY STATION NETWORK!!!
James i suggest you get an arcade blaster It has this game and thousand more classic arcade games on it all in the traditional style of an arcade cabinet. I have played this game and enjoyed it fiercely I Agree it needs t o come out on live.
Thanks Nerd…recently got dumped from a 5 year relationship, and this video has been the first time I have really laughed since. Thanks for brightening my shitty shittiness. you are the shit.
shit.
Why not say, ” This should come out for Xbox360, PS3, and Wii”.
I want play this too. I miss how arcades use to be, but they can’t come close to the console systems anymore. In the past, the arcades surpass the home console. I remeber TMNT(1&2), Bad dudes, T2 the arcade, etc. Ahhh…. the good ol’days
Wow nfinitejester, that’s weird, I also just got dumped from an 8 year relationship and also it’s been the first laugh I got since then (last weekend)… at least it’s cool to see the nerd is helping people to get some good times in-between the darkest of time..!
I think the only reason why he said “XBox live” is because it has the reputation of being the console with the best live experience ^^ nothing more, nothing less, so chill out guys
NINJA BASEBALL BATMAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That game is just a piece of what you can get from japanese developers, just play Ganbare Goemon (Mystical Ninja out of japan) or anime series like BoBoBo, its madness!!,
Now, ninja baseball batman….it just blows my mind, and i must play this right now.
AND GODS HEAR YOU JAMES!!! PUT THIS THING ON XBLA YOU MICROFUCKERS!!
HOLLY SHIT THE ANGRY VIDEO GAME NERD REVIEWING NINJA BASEBALL BATMAN THIS IS BEYOND FUCKING AWESOME ….Yeah. I lived through most of my childhood in South Korea, my home country, and this game was extremely common in the arcades in Korea. This is, by my memory, one of the most popular nostalgic games to the Korean public who lived through the mid-ninties to the early 2000′s- which is when the arcades started to become extinct in Korea. Other popular nostalgic games around at that time (excluding widely known games such as The King Of Fighters, and Metal Slug series) were: Snow Brothers 2 (Jap), Dungeons and Dragons II : Shadow Over Mystera (Eu), Cadilac and Dinosaurs (Eu)… and there were a few more but I can’t remember their titles. The games I just mentioned are LEGENDARY, and all equally, or more, FUCKING AWESOME games as Ninja Baseball Batman. Although I think they were available in North America more than Ninja Baseball Batman…
Anyway it’s just great to see the Nerd talking about such a nostalgic, classic, freak’n masterpiece. I hope he finds more of these games so he (at least his character) can take a nice break from all the shitty games he’s surrounded with.
Not even kidding James, walking home today i though about all the games i played as a kid in China and indeed, this game was the one that stood out in the arcade, EVERYONE loves it. Best beat-em-up ever!
hello ~ i am korean dude that is a big fucking fan of AVGN.
i was thinking about a batman with a ninja suit. but … no ..
That game … i played it so much that i was mad at it .
thats right. when u go to korea, and visit supermarkets
[ small market ] u might see this game with a big ass joystick
box …. what an ass …. but you know , you can play 50 cents for like 5 life for each game . not bad idea. and usa nees to follow korea.
there is a PC room that has like 30 computers and you play like 1 dollar for 1 hour . i miss korea. i tell you , once u go to korea , u will no gonna come back.
Speaking of awesome arcade games in need of a proper home console release. Killer Instinct and Killer Instinct 2. That SNES Killer Instinct is rubbishit.
OMFG i may just look for a MAME Homebrew Emulator for PS3 to play it also James there is one other Very Underrated Beat em’ Up which only came to Consoles in the Taito Legends Collection called Ninja Kids OMFG that is so friggin awesome too!
Ninja Baseball Batman? Well, at least it’s not titled like that crappy movie “Geek Magot Bingo.”
Okay, after watching this, I’m convinced that “Ninja Baseball BatMan” needs to be released on the Wii, PS3, Xbox 360, 3DS, PSP, PC, esc. This game looks f**kin’ awesome.
I dont like baseball that much, but that game looks EPIC! Thanks James for bringing it to my attention! I’m going to spread the word about Ninja Baseball Batman!!!!
James or Mike, you absolutely need to check out Night Slashers if you think Ninja Baseball Batman was an underrated arcade beat em up. Night Slashers(make sure you get the uncut japanese version) was this straight up valentine to lovers of horror and over the top beat em up action games. Imagine running over a dozen zombies in your vehicle, blasting through the wall of a hospital, getting out and fighting hordes of the undead while the body bags come alive around you, just to fight Frankenstein’s monster as a mid level boss, and this is only half of the very first stage. Just check it out. Force James to play this if you get this message Mike. It’s co-op, and it’s just fucking phenomenal. My favorite beat em up by far.
Okay, i must put this or else i must explode tonight:
Im chatting trough MSN with a long life friend right now, and i’ve seen a situation worth giving LETTERS and IMAGES to the entire internet and specially you Capcom Street Fighter Fans (James i think too :D)
Just enter youtube and search for the Marvel Vs Capcom 3 Ultimate trailer, i was seeeing it and thinking: oh cool more characters , i will buy this instead of normal 3 :D, AND THEN I SAW IT
Its shows Mike Haggar in the image and his name is HAGGER
……….HAGGER?? WHO THE FUCK IS HAGGER?? THIS IS A JOKE? IT THAT MADE BY HUMAN BEINGS??
Hagger isnt even his hapanese name if you could be thinking it right now.
So much fail Capcom there.
I’m surprised the game look so fluid because it’s not a 100% emulate as far as I know, anyway it’s really good (and this kind of game is called a Beat’em All in France :))
I saw that game on my MAME cabinet a few years back, the title alone was mind-blowing, but the game… Not only is it fucking insane, but it’s actually REALLY DAMN FUN. Great stuff, happy to see someone talking about it.
I actually remember playing this game when I was a little kid. This game was so awesome I would sit down and put down quarters after quarters. Too bad you can’t find this game at the arcaed anymore. I would love to have this game on XBox Live to play full 4 player co-op mode.
How could so few people order a game called “NINJA BASEBALL BATMAN!” that just screams “PEOPLE ARE GOING TO PLAY THIS”. its like getting a chance to have that cyborg babe ruth on your baseball team, and you dont take it
This game (Ninja Baseball Batman) and thousands of others including:
Coin – op, NES, SNES, Game boy, Virtual boy, Sega Master System, Genesis, Game Gear, Sega 32X, Atari 2600, Atari 5200, Atari 7800, Atari Lynx, Colecovision, Turbo Grafx 16 … are FREE TO PLAY at this site called ‘RetroUprising’.
by the way! great to see you in the nerd gear for this one James!
and now i will try and describe what the hell that thing is…
A minotaur, chicken with insect eyes.. and a refrigerator body covered in a throw rug with swords coming out of its back… Giant knight shields for hips.. Candlestick holders for feet and a guitar for an ass!
That’s a great game!!!!, i had the chance to play it when i was a child on the arcades near of my house, every kid on the neighborhood were crazy with this game, obviously the owners of the arcade were very happy because we espent a lot of money playing xD, haha, great memories!!!
you know this reminds me of my childhood at korea. If you have Ninja Baseball Batman, Tekken Tag team, Super Robot Wars, Plasma Sword, or any super cool games around your neighborhood, you were super lucky. By the way you should look at “Super Robot Wars” and review it since you like Monsters fighting each other i thought you might like giant mechanical being destroying each other middle of a city using the craziest powers
That level where they are on the grate look suspiciously like two levels intertwined from TMNT: Turtles In Time. It looks a hell of a lot like the Manhattan level crossed with the Mode 7 level where the Turtles are on the hoverboards.
as i remember, you never play on emulators, James.. and that means, that you are one of these 43 lucky bastards who had the arcade cabinet! am i right?
since you talked about a great beat em up arcade game, did you test Asterix also for the arcade? It’s also a beat em up produced by Konami.
Never released on a home console. However there is a GBA game of a Asterix beat em up game, that was a different version. I prefer the arcade game more, cause Konami is da best. Nice video.
So, was this a nerd video? He seemed to be in character and in the white shirt. Either way, this was an amazing video and an amazing game to talk about.
I made sure to play it because it looked like a ton of fun, and it is You should check out HG101 if you’ve never been there before, James. Lots of great beat-em-ups are covered there. Pulirula is sure to get your attention!
July 29, 2011 at 10:09 am
Wow….this game looks simply amazing….I wanna play!

Surprisingly the funniest episode I’ve ever seen. Just awesome.
July 29, 2011 at 10:11 am
Ninja Baseball Batman! I think that might surpass even “Ninja Golf!” for best title ever.
July 29, 2011 at 10:24 am

July 29, 2011 at 10:39 am
LOL, that looks amazing, only the Japanese could come up with such a crazy off the wall game.
July 29, 2011 at 10:40 am
This gameplay video has blown my mind on so many levels.
was it just gamefootage or an emulator…….or do you actually own this arcade machine?
Anyway Thanks for sharing this experience^^
July 29, 2011 at 10:48 am
My favorite game names are Destination Earthstar, and Earth Died Screaming. But they don’t really live up to their titles.
July 29, 2011 at 10:58 am

July 29, 2011 at 5:21 pm
Ninja Baseball Batman? Well, at least it’s not titled like that crappy movie “Geek Magot Bingo.”
Okay, after watching this, I’m convinced that “Ninja Baseball BatMan” needs to be released on the Wii, PS3, Xbox 360, 3DS, PSP, PC, esc. This game looks f**kin’ awesome.
July 29, 2011 at 5:29 pm
Yo dawg! Heard you like airplanes! So we put an airplane inside of an airplane so you can fly, while fighting a flying enemy!
July 29, 2011 at 5:34 pm
I dont like baseball that much, but that game looks EPIC! Thanks James for bringing it to my attention! I’m going to spread the word about Ninja Baseball Batman!!!!
July 29, 2011 at 5:40 pm
July 29, 2011 at 5:53 pm
One of the most psychedelic games an arcade fan must play! i was able to escape from its madness the question is………can you!
July 29, 2011 at 5:56 pm
July 29, 2011 at 5:57 pm
I’m surprised the game look so fluid because it’s not a 100% emulate as far as I know, anyway it’s really good (and this kind of game is called a Beat’em All in France :))
July 29, 2011 at 6:07 pm
I saw that game on my MAME cabinet a few years back, the title alone was mind-blowing, but the game… Not only is it fucking insane, but it’s actually REALLY DAMN FUN. Great stuff, happy to see someone talking about it.
July 29, 2011 at 6:18 pm

July 29, 2011 at 7:11 pm
I actually remember playing this game when I was a little kid. This game was so awesome I would sit down and put down quarters after quarters. Too bad you can’t find this game at the arcaed anymore. I would love to have this game on XBox Live to play full 4 player co-op mode.
July 29, 2011 at 7:21 pm
How could so few people order a game called “NINJA BASEBALL BATMAN!” that just screams “PEOPLE ARE GOING TO PLAY THIS”. its like getting a chance to have that cyborg babe ruth on your baseball team, and you dont take it
July 29, 2011 at 7:28 pm

July 29, 2011 at 10:32 pm
Shouldn’t this count as a Nerd episode?
July 29, 2011 at 10:40 pm
I found Ninja Baseball Batman in Phuoc Loc Tho (Asian Garden Mall) awhile ago. I had a really fun time playing that beat’em up arcade game!
July 29, 2011 at 10:51 pm

July 29, 2011 at 11:01 pm
That’s a great game!!!!, i had the chance to play it when i was a child on the arcades near of my house, every kid on the neighborhood were crazy with this game, obviously the owners of the arcade were very happy because we espent a lot of money playing xD, haha, great memories!!!
July 29, 2011 at 11:05 pm
for such a short vid, it’s a good one! I think I might have to get my emulator on
July 29, 2011 at 11:08 pm
I’m kinda curious James. How did you even stumble upon this?
July 29, 2011 at 11:43 pm
you know this reminds me of my childhood at korea.
July 30, 2011 at 12:01 am
That level where they are on the grate look suspiciously like two levels intertwined from TMNT: Turtles In Time. It looks a hell of a lot like the Manhattan level crossed with the Mode 7 level where the Turtles are on the hoverboards.
July 30, 2011 at 12:09 am
sorry i confused it wasnt Super Robot Wars, it was Tech Romancer and man that game was awesome
July 30, 2011 at 1:11 am

ninja baseball bat man!!
July 30, 2011 at 1:34 am
Samurai Football Wolverine.
The voice & video aren’t in sync. Anyone else having that problem?
July 30, 2011 at 2:22 am
as i remember, you never play on emulators, James.. and that means, that you are one of these 43 lucky bastards who had the arcade cabinet! am i right?
July 30, 2011 at 2:40 am
LMAO
July 30, 2011 at 2:50 am
Hey James,
since you talked about a great beat em up arcade game, did you test Asterix also for the arcade? It’s also a beat em up produced by Konami.
Never released on a home console. However there is a GBA game of a Asterix beat em up game, that was a different version. I prefer the arcade game more, cause Konami is da best. Nice video.
July 30, 2011 at 3:33 am
So, was this a nerd video? He seemed to be in character and in the white shirt. Either way, this was an amazing video and an amazing game to talk about.
July 30, 2011 at 3:34 am
and i just love the faces you make, James!
July 30, 2011 at 3:40 am
I first heard about this game at Hardcore Gaming 101.
http://hardcoregaming101.net/
I made sure to play it because it looked like a ton of fun, and it is You should check out HG101 if you’ve never been there before, James. Lots of great beat-em-ups are covered there. Pulirula is sure to get your attention!
July 30, 2011 at 3:57 am
This is awesome! But why can’t it come out for Xbox Live and PlayStation Network?
