This video has been featured on Zelda Universe and Zelda Dungeon.

Check out these glitches from an N64 classic. Yes, I’m aware there were more glitches in this game. There are so many in Ocarina of Time, this could have been an hour long. I’m just showing some I wanted to do. Maybe I’ll do more later.

Definately the coolest glitchvideo. Amazing work!

This is the video that introduced me to Cinemassacre's productions! :) I checked it when it was featured in Zelda Universe.

I recently bought the OoT for my N64 (oddly enough, I never owned the game despite the fact that it's my favorite game of all time :/ ), I'm definately checking out these glitches. Keep the great work, Mike!

You are aware the bottle trick with Ganondorf isn't a glitch, right?

It's just another thing that can reflect it, it was programmed that way. It's not a glitch, it's just a hidden secret.

You have to wait until you get the hookshot to get that piece of heart?

After you go to Lake Hylia, the owl will drop you off right on top of that building... and you can enter just like that. Real early in the game too.

Well, probably it's time for me to go to the store and buy Zelda for the 3DS

The glitches are all fixed in the 3DS version. I have it on both consoles, and when I tried them on the 3DS, none of them worked.

You should do Link's Awakening on Game Boy, that's the most glitched Zelda ever!

I even found a glitch that makes the background disappear (that's it: only sprites on screen). And tuning off the Game boy doesn't make it go away! (you need to delete the saved game that was used to perfom the glitch)

I never knew you had to wait until you were an adult to get that piece of heart I always got it as a child. If you can get a chicken up onto the incomplete building with you, you can hover over to the hole. I can't believe I was that smart as a kid.

awesome ass game, awesome ass glitches

Yo, Mike, I'm really starting to like this small series of yours! Keep up the good work!

There's the left cartridge trick, too. I only did it in the Temple of Time but I'm sure you can do it elsewhere for different results.
A black box pops up that lets you scroll through codes and text, but one part says "I LOVE YOU" in capitals. What makes that spooky is I don't quite remember anywhere in the game where someone says that so it can't be dialogue coding. Maybe it's some kinda secret message? :0

if only i could find my copy of OOT

TheNamlessGuy you can get it early by taking one of the chicken and throw it on the half completed house and glide over there

For some reason, the Youtube upload of this is marked as Private now.

Not even the greatest game of all time is free from glitches! :D

does this work on wii virtual console

To grab the heart piece, you can also use a chicken as a child. It's a bit tricky, cause there is a walking guy blocking you, but it's possible.

Awesome glitches Mike!

Back when I was a young teen playing Zelda OOT, I spent hours trying ridiculous methods to try and obtain the Triforce... (Name your save slot Zelda, go through the game without getting hit, yadda yadda... worse than the Mario 64 "Luigi codes" lmao!)

Do you know of any glitches where you can see the physical Triforce?

That shit would just make my life.

Also does anyone else remember the website The Odyssey of Hyrule, and the 3 month long ruse Ariana (name?) from South America posted about obtaining the Triforce? Going into the desert and finding the Temple of Light? Unfortunately it was all a hoax but good god I've never seen something so elaborate.

There's actually a glitch to get over the outside wall of ganon's castle. If you cross the rainbow bridge and jump over to the right you'll land on a small ledge on the outside of the wall. take your long shot and aim at the top of one the pillars next to you, and it will pull you up then drop you down sticking halfway out of the wall. you can then carefully walk throught the wall to the otherside.

PLEASE, please! Review N64's Majora's mask MAJOR Game glitch,

File 1:Ben

File 2: Drowned

REVIEW IT PLEASE!

(recognize this please, James & Mike)

Get the fuck off dumbass...

Take your retarded ben bullshit to some other place bitch

I just wanna say, you can get the heartpiece by the cow after you first get access to Death Mountain (as a child), by going to the top and riding the owl down. He will drop you off at the roof, and you can get the heartpiece by dropping onto the ledge.

MFM you are the man and I think one of the best anfast becoming a rival to James

www.vizzed.com/vizzedboard/retro/game.php?id=768&system=nes&name=TMNT-Tournament-Fighters&ref=65348

although this is a link to the turtles you can simply select Zelda from the menu and I left it as TMNT as a trite to all the hard work and respect I ha efor what James and Mike are doing on the Turtles Tuesdays and want us alo be a part of that too.

Very cool videos,as a million people say, keep them going, and can you find some glitches from the NES metroid?I want to know...

This is really cool! But here's what I also found out about OoT:

There are a few versions of the game and they were to fix some of the glitches that you showed us. Here are the versions so everyone knows which glitches work on which version:

Version 1.0
This is the Japanese version for Nintendo 64. It was also released in North America at launch date and was available for a short while afterward. Most of them were released on Gold Carts; however, there are some Grey Carts of V1.0 as well, which are very rare. This is the only version with a brighter "N" logo in the startup.

Version 1.1
This version started being produced in North America shortly after V1.0. These are also somewhat rare. The fishing rod glitch which could make Link use items on Epona was fixed. Also the "pause, save, reset" trick used in the final battle to make Link swordless no longer works.

Version 1.2
This version was produced in North America and Europe quite a while after V1.1. It is the most common version, and the most heavily edited. The glitches removed in V1.1 are still gone, Ganondorf's blood has been changed from red to green, and Nintendo removed the original Fire Temple chant.

Version 2.0
This was the GameCube version of the game, released in 2003 as a bonus disc for those who pre-ordered The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker. The Zelda GameCube bundle also uses this version, as does the Wii Virtual Console release. Some things in the game have been further changed in all regions since V1.2, including the removal of the original Gerudo Symbol, which also has similarities to Islam. The Virtual Console edition seems to be based on this.

Hope this helped out.

That game kicks ass!

I actually did that glitch with the gold spider one time 2 get 100 golden spiders, that took me a long time 2 do

Well Mike Definitely love these Tricks & Glitches videos. Worth keeping up.

On a side note, I just seen the new 3DS version of Ocarina of Time and what a fuckload of disappointment. It's basically the exact same game rehashed out to make a quick buck in between their next big game. It's a big middle finger to the fans! They may have smoothed out a lot of block like texture and added design to the backgrounds and such, but as far as I am concerned they basically pulled a Resident Evil Directors cut. OUUUU New camera angles, item, and enemy placement. Big deal. Yes I have seen the Master Quest, that is exactly what I mean. Things like major chunks of the background still look polygon or flat based. The stairs are still as flat as an ants tits. If they were going to rework some things why not everything. I guess I am nitpicking, but when you take games like the first Resident Evil and revamp it like they did with the gamecube, I would expect something similar done here. Everyone has to remember Ocarina of Time was released during the early days of the N64. It was a bit rough. With all the handheld Zelda games why couldn't they have just made a separate new game altogether.

Nice video Mike! Please make more kick ass videos like this one with lots of tricks and glitches! The longer the better.

Long time fan of AVGN, first-time poster here, hi everybody!
Loving the glitch series so far and this one is definitely my favourite to date.
I just also wanted to mention that you don't need the hookshot or a glitch to get the heart piece in the cage with the cow. After your first visit to the Great Fairy on Death Mountain, Kaepora Gaebora offers to fly you back to the village, and he leaves you on the roof of that house so you can just drop down to where the entrance is.

my only complaint is the intro you and james are awesome you can easily come up with an amazing intro for the series come on mike show us what u can do!!!!

the infinite sword thing can also be done with the hammer but it really hard to hit something while walking or running but if you roll while doing it it hit the target you aiming at for sure.

Dang that game looks ugly. Earlier ones were way better..

This is a great series, keep them coming!

@ulmuchiha

I know the bottle thing isn't a glitch. Which is why the video is called TRICKS and glitches.

And the version of Ocarina I used is clearly pictured in the video so people know which one it is.

These videos are unusually compelling. Keep it up!

the bottle is not a glitch and half of these glitches only work in version 1.

Ok.....my mind (and ceating in games life) is having a total mind-fuck XD... I didint know none of these cheats other than the infinite sword thing....awsome mike keep it up...and if i may not be too greedy, whens gonna be the next avgn episode? Thanks a lot ^^

(Ps: i love points...)

I love this videos!! and the new intro is amazing =O!!, very good!!

I really enjoy these vids. Keep em up. Theyre short and right to the point now, which is awesome. But imo you guys could do something fancy, like reenacting the glitches etc, to make them more special.

This is Great Stuff keep it up! Very Entertaining, and I find myself trying these out right after I watch them.

Mother Fucker Mike, your awesome.

Can you start making some longer videos?

Keep up the good work man! You doing a great job showing us these glitches.

Interesting stuff. I've heard of some of those, but not all of them. That swordless trick thing is awesome. Crazy, fun stuff!

Definitely a good series, Mike!! Keep them coming! And if you think of something else to do, video game related or not, definitely put it on. I do prefer video game related stuff though :D I really enjoy this site and frequent updates are awesome :-)

Also really looking forward to the next AVGN 'old style' + all the other goodies James has in store for us!

I really love the new Game Glitches addition, but this newest one for Zelda: OOT is the best by far! Really cool stuff I never knew about the game (although, I did know the one about using the empty bottle). Keep it up, Mother Fucker Mike!!!

Mike, I will say what I have said in every one of your videos, just more concise this time (I'm sure you remember my 5-6 paragraph statements abot Cinemassacre).

This is easily one of the greatest additions to the site and BY FAR the greatest glitch video series that exists.. (or at least that I've seen)

Please keep it up. I wanted to do a series like this years ago but instead of just SHOWING the glitches.. it would explain why they work. If you want a demo of this to add to your show let me know. It can be done quickly, informativeness and bad sas..ly... And it doesn't have to be me in the videos. Just an 'informant' role or something..

My number one favorite thing about these videos though is that.. while I'm a glitch connoisseur, I've never seen the overwhelming majority of them... so keep up the good work!
