Well, all I can say to you James and your crew is I wish you great success, and I certainly know you will make an excellent product by the end since of course all of your video editing, filming etc. is done extraordinarily well, and all your videos in general reflect your abilities.
Personally, I think your AVGN episodes have been taking a backseat to your Movie Reviews for me, anyway. Not to slam them, they’re fuckin’ sweet, but I find myself looking forward to the Reviews more.
Also, if he can/wants to, I think it’d be awesome if Motherfucker Mike started reviewing some of his/your massive DVD collection, like the movies themselves. Keep up the awesome.
hell I loved the basic format of your old videos, it shows more anger and frustrations you had with the games, than putting up a show more of what is happening with the newer episodes. Not to say your recent episodes aren’t good, there informative about the game, that’s nice and all, however lets see a pissed of avgn, kicking the !@%& out of a cartridge, because its Bulls%@t.
hey james, just wana say, you can stall the nerd episodes as long as you want to work on the movie. it gives you more free time to work on it and it will give us more time to feel fresh when a new episode comes. i would help if i can. i wish i am an actor of sum sort so that i can act for ur movie, and i wish im at least a working man so that i have money to help u. too bad im none of those things. all i can do is watch your shit and enjoy. anyway, good luck with your movie, thx for bringing the joy that you had brought for the past few years.
Cool deal..I wish i could help….Im guessing James will be directing the film..I cant wait..I admire how hard he works…It inspires me to work harder on my stuff..http://www.youtube.com/user/whyhuman?feature=mhee I can’t seem to quit no matter what anyone tells me.Im going to try to start releasing at least two animations a month.Thank you James..Keep up the good work..:)
Totally psyched to hear you are continuing with the normal episodes. I was beginning to think we’d see an extended hiatus or the end of AVGN until the movie. I’m sure it’ll be quite an undertaking, but the fans definitely appreciate it big time (like myself). Also, imo, the last time you took a small break (last year), I thought the videos came back very strong and very funny.
One day we’ll have to come to terms of no more Nerd, but at least it’s not today! Keep on keepin’ on James.
Good to hear that you will make some more AVGN episodes. That’s fine if they are basic like 2006. Besides, arn’t there a ton of games that really there isn’t much content than like 4 miniutes? I like the idea of shorter episodes released here and there just to keep the Nerd in our minds for the next few years. Of course we have all the other Cinemassacre content too to watch.
Hey guys!…New AVGN episodes coming soon? Sounds great! And having them go back to just standard game reviews doesn’t sound bad at all to me! I was never big on the episodes with lots of theatrics.
Good luck with the movie. Doesn’t bother me it will take a few years to make. That’s much better than slapping something together real quick. Take your time with it….but man.
Holy fuck, dude. What a fucking trooper. Wish I had motivation like that. Then again, this video looks almost like a terrorist “read this while I hold a gun to your head” thing, so hopefully that’s not the case.
Ohh god yes!! Yes…yes…yes! You hit it when you said any nerd episodes are better than none. I think they are the HEART of the following as well. Yes..please…give me something to look forward to on a random weekend…I love it! Trash a game…say “shit load of fuck” again…I will be there. I love your style. I know it’s a selfish love for your work…but I think all will agree when i say…we love the AVGN episodes. Thank you thank you thank you. Your work makes my day every time I see one. Long Live AVGN!!!!!!!!!!!!
Just double the time that it takes to put out a Nerd video again. I don’t know, I have no idea how long things take. Do the movie reviews and Board James eat up lots of time? Are they coming out less? Or less good?
I would like to make a suggestion. I love the AVGN episodes. I watch them over and over again and like many viewers was disappointed when you said the show as going on hiatus. However, I’ve been watching your turtle shows — the review of the cartoon series, the review of the board games and it was the review of the board games that got me thing this. I’m glad that you have decided to bring back the nerd however, I was thinking that if you couldn’t do the nerd while you’re making your movie, could you have turned the Turtle Tuesdays into video game reviews. Do those game reviews like you did your turtle board game review, just as yourself. I know you’ve already done the original TMNT as AVGN however, do for instance TMNT The Arcade Game and The Manhattan Project as yourself, especially since those games don’t fit into the AVGN show anyway since those are both pretty decent games. It would allow you to not have to do a big AVGN show and yet still kind of quench our thirst for video game reviews at the same time. Any way, just thought I would throw that out there. Sorry this is so long.
James….you are my hero. not because you’re starting to make more AVGN stuff again, but because you’re going to try and balance both the movie and web series at THE SAME TIME. that’s incredible. nuff said. lol.
Just a note to say that… Holy cow, I just noticed you can resize the text entry area. How badass is that? I don’t know what point it serves, but it served to distract me. That’s pretty cool… in a pointless sort of way.
Anyway I am looking forward to the movie, and I’m gonna keep hitting up your site on a regular basis anyway, you’ve managed to fill up your lineup with new stuff, Mike is putting out his game glitches and other stuff, so there’s plenty of stuff to keep me coming back. Just do what you need to do, looking forward to shitty nerd episodes, because yeah, you know what, I think that IS better than no nerd episodes.
I am really looking forward for this movie and I wish you the best luck with making it, Mr. Rolfe.
But I would preffer to wait for the episodes, because I think quality does matter. And you could use the time to produce the movie.
But of course I´ll like the new episodes when the come out, I don´t want to criticize your decission, I just think efficiently – at least I hope so!
I’m really looking forward to this AVGN movie. I hope you get a lot of support from your friends and fans. I love all the things you and Mike do, If you can keep making stuff like you always do while making the movie, that would be great. Keep up the awesome work.
Can’t wait for the movie I hope things fall in line and you can make a really good movie without losing all your sanity. Glad to know the nerd is coming back but if you need to take some time off from it to make your movie do so, I mean this is your dream where talking about.
Men, I support you James, we as your fans must be with you and this is a really stressful goal in your life.
I want to thank you for all that 100 videos, you Inspired me and you already prove what you can give to the world so man, take it easy, we must be gland instead of angry for no more videos.
You give us a gift with your talent, and you must forget the usual Internet Rant, this is your life, this is your goal, go for it.
I think what I am trying to say is, Go for it! Don´t stop to think about us it is your time man, give it a shot!
Looking forward to the movie. You should definitely do a behind the scene thing. I always like to watch behind the scenes footage of movies like b-rolls and stuff like that.
If you make a dvd too you can count on me to buy it.
You rock, James. Hey, it’s not for us to say what you should do, so go at your own pace. I wouldn’t mind at all if you focused on the movie, it’s going to be awesome.
James, thank you for the awesome news. Your logic is correct about shittier episodes being better than none at all. I was very excited to hear about an AVGN movie, but when I realized that you probably wouldn’t be releasing any new episodes while you worked on that I was sad. Thank you for not making that be the case.
Your work is among the funniest I’ve ever watched. I promise I’ll be among the first to buy your movie when it’s finished. Good luck with the filmmaking process. I know you guys can pull off a masterpiece!
I like the more basic episodes just as well, there’s no need building some kind of a plot for each of them. Good luck with the movie, James! Can’t wait to see what you’re coming up with.
I’m happy you’re making the movie James and going for your goals. I found your site by accident and couldn’t stop laughing with the Friday the 13th episode, and my sisters were cracking up too because we had just made fun of the movies. I have to say, best accident I ever had! I love your site. Your videos in general are so fun to look forward to seeing every night before I go sleep and yes, the AVGN series I believe is your best thing you have going here because people can relate to the gaming, like the classics, and your humor is right up my alley. They are well done, so having “shitty” episodes is fine by me because your comments alone make it funny. Keep making those episodes (without killing yourself lol), keeping doing the stuff you love, and you’ll always have your fans support. Good luck with the movie, can’t wait to see it
It’s interesting that you posting a video on this, because I’ve been thinking about the EXACT same topic. While the AVGN nerd in me can’t get enough(it’s the main reason I visit this site), I wouldn’t want you to do it if it meant that the quality of the movie suffered. TAKE YOUR TIME. It’s not like any of us have anything better to do with our time. (heh, heh) And when you come back, we’ll still be waiting. Oh, and one more thing. As much as I would hate to see the AVGN go, I think that you should retire the character if you ever felt it has grown stale. While it would be a sad day, I would much rather see the Nerd go out on a high note, than to slowly waste away. Anyway, that’s it. Good luck James, and have a nice day!
Casting: Me, James, Motherfucker Mike.
Location: My livingroom
Budget: Mountain Dew and Doritos
Special Skills: ESP and Psychic Commercials (For a nominal fee I will plant your movie previews into peoples dreams, I have my own team for this, and its totally not Inception [it totally is])
I guess on “paper” the only skills I have is 3 years of theatre experience. Which includes acting, building sets, painting sets, crew (holding certain props or moving parts of the set), placing microphones on actors, and some makeup work.
The best I could do is a small role, or be an assistant of some kind. I also live in New Hampshire, so that’s a good distance away.
I think i pretty much know what the story entails for the movie and i love it already. I didn’t think you’d do both movie and show but hey, if you think you can handle it. I don’t think your fans will complain if you stopped. Their pretty loyal, Long live the Nerd
Between me and you, James, I personally think that the Nerd episodes should just be stick to being on hold. We can tell the Nerd movie needs your whole attention, and continuing on with the Nerd series will further delay the movie for sure.
If it takes 2+ years or whatever, then fine. We still got 101 episodes to run back to when we need our Nerd fix. If you want make maybe an episode like maybe once or twice or year (for like Christmas or whatever), that’s fine.
I just feel the way you announced that the episodes were coming back was a decision you didn’t want to make. Do what you think is right, James.
Sounds like a plan James. I didn’t know it takes that long to make a movie, especially pre-production. It makes me wonder what some of the big name studios have in plan for movies that we won’t see for another couple of years.
Anyways, it sounds like it’s going to be great to watch, so I’ll be looking forward to watching it. I’m curious though, will you be hosting the entire movie on your site to watch for free? or will it be released as a movie for a few bucks?
Thanks for the update James, your fans are here to support you man. I’m actually surprised you’re going to put out nerd episodes, your multitasking is insane and much appreciated. I think you have a big group of fans that would actually really enjoy seeing a return to the quick, early nerd style episodes. I personally miss the raw, less produced style from the early days sometimes, in a way it’ll be refreshing to see this approach to the videos again. Keep it up man, we’re excited to see more stuff!
James…You are the man Wow! Movie and episodes!? Your badass!! I mean ive been watching all your episodes to try and hold me over. Well i just wanted to say good luck James and we look forward to your masterpiece.
I think the less involved/less production involved in the episodes, it’s almost for the better. While the idea is to be able to devote a lot more attention to the film, I think the break period will allow a lot more games to be reviewed that don’t necessarily have 15/20 minutes worth of material in them. It’ll be able to give those games a chance while still giving the fans their fix and allowing the movie a good opportunity to get completed.
The smallest of things can turn out to be some of the world most beloved series. I found AVGN back when you just released the Wizerd and Mario 3 stuff and i was so unkown to the world of the NES simply beacuse i grew up right when the SNES came out and i played the NES but new nothing about it. And thanks to Screwattack and you James i now own my own NES Ive got Mario, Castlevania, Mega Man 2 and a few others. You and my brother are like the exact same age and grew up with the same games and everything. So i think in alot of ways you remind me of a time when i was just a kid with my brother and yes he swears like a sailor to. And i’m happy with any AVGN stuff you give us, you left off on a high note with the Spielberg stuff and its making us want some ET action but that may be what the movie is about.
So take your time with the movie, and i want to say thank you so very much for what you’ve done thus far and the future.
As a movie maker myself (mostly script and directing) it’s amazing to see you actually doing both the episodes and the feature film! I would not be able to do anythink like that. That’s really great of you.
I’d love to be a part of the film in any sort of way, but since I live in Sweden that might be a hard thing to do.
I’d love to see some behind-the-scenes footage of you directing. You are directing, aren’t you? Always thought you would, but I can’t recall you saying you would. Maybe the script and playing the lead role is enough.
Not gonna drag it out. Are you directing the film?
I don’t think it has been suggested but why not make a page over at Kickstarter? Figure it would be perfect to help for funding ^^
Website link: http://www.kickstarter.com/
I hope the script can get some revisions soon for new and old fans. I am glad James is taking time and not rushing himself, sorta like Terrance Malick.
James you are one hard working mother fu-… well, I’ll leave the swearing up to you.
A lot of people say they like AVGN episodes now, but LOVE the old AVGN episodes. I’m not bashing on one crowd or the other but I love it all, and I mean that honestly.
I’m happy with some rather than none. Hell I was happy with the thought of no episodes knowing that a full-length AVGN feature film was on it’s way. Yet, here we are, getting even more great news about the Nerd.
My hat goes off to you, although I don’t ever wear one…
My proverbial hat goes off to you? Whatever lol. Ya got my respect, guy.
Travis Metcalf has a great idea about doing video game reviews as yourself James. I think maybe that’s something you could do and just give us your perception of what you went through when you played them as a kid. There are a lot of great games out there that need exposure just as much, if not more than the bad ones. I think that’s a great idea. It would probably be quicker to do too since you already know the good games from your youth, which was my youth too since we’re from the same generation.
I don’t think that the “theatrics” necessary made the episodes good. Don’t get me wrong, I appreciated them, but if you have clever, funny, or just interesting things to say about a game I don’t think you need costumes or effects.
I think the fact that you’ve stuck to the Nerd episodes this long is a feat in itself, but to say I would be disappointed with no more Nerd episodes is an understatement. I’m happy to hear that the world of AVGN isn’t going to rest while the movie is running through its infant stages (though definitely the most difficult and time consuming). The demand is there for sure and, even though they’ll be striped down AVGN episodes, I’m sure they’ll still deliver the goods. It’s good to know that I won’t have to watch all the episodes again for a 3rd time (fuck I need to get out of the house).
So yeah, a big thank-you from all the fans is in order (thanks!).
Good luck with it all James!
-G
Great update James! I am excited for the movie (whenever it comes out) and excited for the new nerd episodes. I am kinda excited actually that you are going back to the basics with them. (although your idea of basic still blows the crap out of the majority of video producers online) You don’t always need huge production and theatrics to make the Nerd great. Hell, my favorite episodes are from the first 2 years or so of you doing them.
Keep on doing what you do, and I will keep supporting you!
I registered just now, especially so I could post this comment. I want you to know you have inspired hundreds, if not thousands or millions of people to go out and create films based on their dreams and theirs alone as you have encouraged in some of your own films.
It’s awesome, frankly, that someone could do something that started as a project and come out as one of the most interesting, damn funny, and inspiring videos for people, whether it be your movies, AVGN or Board James films- no matter what, you never let it get to your head, and you do what you love. And that is what inspired me to do come out with my own ideas for filming.
The world needs more people like you, good sir! I know I can speak for everyone here when I say I- no.. WE wish you only the best with your dreams, ideas and final drafts (lol), because we all know you will always have a message to bring out, a passion to work with, and a movie (or many movies/films) that will touch the hears, and, as stated before, inspire millions for years to come.
James you do a lot for the whole Cinemassacre community, and while you get a lot of recognition and praise, you get a lot of shit from fans too. Most of us are people you’ll never have the chance to meet. For my part, I just wanted to say thanks. I’ll always support the work you put out whether it be buying it on DVD or seeing it in theaters. You’ve given thousands of people hundreds of hours worth of quality entertainment in pursuing your dreams with no expectation or demand for monetary consideration from us in return. Having passion for what you do is what separates those who are successful from those that fall short. So here’s a big thanks from one of your fans. I look forward to the movie, and can’t believe you’re gonna try and do episodes in the meantime as well!
I’m torn between saying “forget the AVGN episodes, just concentrate on the movie” and saying you made right choice. It sounds like you don’t really want to do both the movie and the new episodes. But definitely, the script is all that matters. Cutting down on the post-production will really help out. Maybe consider teaming up with video editors to post-produce/edit your AVGN episodes? Like the guys at ScrewAttack?
Either way, more nerd is awesome. I really don’t mind just watching re-runs until you fulfill your goal of an AVGN movie. You’ve given us so much, you should really just concentrate on what you want.
Looking forward to the new episodes! (but i’ll understand if they fall by the wayside)…. best of luck with getting financing etc
The internet has a bad case of ADD. The production quality on AVGN is what sets it apart from most web shows. By focusing to much on the movie the “buzz” you have generated will fade away.
Its a long road ahead cinemassacre I’m sure you will make it.
Im pleased to see that the older episodes are going to follow an older standard. Ide rather have nerd episodes like they were rather than what they have become if it means actual episodes. Good luck on the movie
just promise us all you won’t work yourself to death, james. simple episodes can be good, but if it comes down to the series and your mental/physical health like it has in the past, put yourself first.
Mike/James,
If you guys decide to do an independent film, you might want to check out http://www.kickstarter.com
You can ask for pledges for kick starting projects, films, etc.
It might be a good place to start, if you can get an idea of some amount of money you need.
You have all my support James , just keep AVGN alive and I would really prefer basic AVGN episodes, it is all about the past after all , where all the fancy editing and visual effects did not even exist …
Sounds great. Thank you for everything on this site, makes me want to buy all of the DVDs and a Cinemassacre shirt. Where did the store go anyway? It just redirects to the Cinemassacre homepage. I’d love a grey shirt.
Good luck, James. I really appreciate you are trying to, in addition to doing the movie, continue with the chapters. It doesn’t matter if they are short or long, if you made them they will always be funny.
As I’ve said, good luck with the movie, James. Greetings from Spain.
I understand that you guys have a big project on your hands so I really don’t mind if that would result for lacking of updates in your existing shows. I have no knowledge about filming but everybody would agree that its not that easy at all… so for that, I do understand what you’re trying to achieve here.. so I won’t ask much except that you guys do your best at your movie project >=)
Just keep on doing what you have to do, James. Looking forward for your movie
Very candid blog, I have been amazed with the work you have been doing with your TMNT videos every week. Just like with your Monster Madness videos as a fan of horror and TMNT I really appreciate the hard work you put in.
I am also a AVGN fan and really anticipate your videos recently the TMNT ones even more than your AVGN ones.
I wonder if by a certain time if a studio or production company or something doesn’t come on board with finance if you would be interested in starting a Kick Starter for this project. I am sure there are other avenues to go about it but I have seen some people have success with Kick starter. Although I don’t know how many fans would be interested in donating towards the film it is probably more than I might think it would be.
Keep up the great work and don’t kill yourself with all the work you do =)
You know.. If you’re having such stress with both the movie and the actual episodes, then focus on the movie. And if you want to keep making short-movies with the AVGN, just make something new like “James Play’s”. It could be as simple as just 10 minutes of gameplay with you commenting as you’re playing, but in the character of AVGN.
I’ve been around here ( well around AVGN ) for soon 6 years now, almost at the beginning. You got my full support, and right now, I’m thinking if I can be useful for the big-screen movie.. But to bad, I’m not gifted lol.
You got this James, focus on the movie, and if it goes to big-screen. I’ll freaking fly to the US just to be there on the night of the release (I live in Sweden).
I created an account right now just to say James you are an amazing person. Even though you may not read this I want to express my gratitude on how you care for the fans and decide to take time out of the movie (which is your biggest dream, to produce a movie) in order to please fans. And who cares if they’re not great? It’s like you said,”better shitty then nothing.” I hope the best for you and everything to come in the future days and months of the episodes and the movie. I am a fan of your work and a fan of your dedication and care for your other fans.
P.s. I hope the Cinemassacre iPhone app hits the shelves soon
HUGE FAN=) I checkout your site at least twice a day. You just have a way of putting thing in there place. Its perfect the whole thing is perfect the idea of AVGN is awesome we have all been there playing NES. The video of you as a kid getting mad playing SM2 was priceless. Well good luck man on the movie and all other projects. If you make it we will watch.
DUDE…you’re running like hell for/with all these for the past 4 years…there’s no way that someone could be dissapointed by a bunch of less good stuff even if you werent doing something else ..
James Rolfe Keer Rolling Rocking
Just a quick message to say I’m HAPPY that the AVGN is going back to the basics! I love the character and I really appreciate your work, so for me knowing that the AVGN will be less special fx and more ANGRY like he used to be is awesome news.
Keep’em coming James, you’re the kind of talent that shines these days, not the ones you see on the TV.
Oh, James, you don’t have to go THAT far! I was fully prepared to wait for the next Nerd item being the movie (no matter how long it would take), but to know you’ll be doing episodes, too? Damn. Half of your “fans” don’t deserve such hard work thrown their way, but I’m glad you’re going for it.
And as for the quality of the episodes… damn all those who think the videos have to be elaborate! I’ve been following you and your videos since the VERY near beginning (From the TMNT/BTTF reviews), and they’ve always been entertaining, no matter what. It’s the review and the comments I enjoy. You don’t have to fight Freddy or ROB or any of that stuff for the videos to be good. Just the reviews and the commentary. Some of your best episodes are the least theatrical (such as the system reviews or historical informational ones).
Keep on trucking, James. I’d act in the movie if I could, but there’s no way I’d be able to get out to whatever state you’re in now!
All I can say is that James, AVGN is bigger than you now haha. Honestly, keep producing episode until you physically can’t. The thing you gotta remember is that it’s not necessarily the material, it’s the games as well. i can’t tell you how many reviews have inspired me to try new games. It’s always cool just to see footage of old video games and sometimes think “Hey! I remember that game”
If it wasn’t for you, I never would have remembered Castlevania. So just keep reviewing the games so long as you have just 1 fan out there getting enjoyment. Some people will turn to haters, but at the end of the day it means the world to someone like me to have these videos because it connects me with my nostalgic past of a better time.
I love your work James. I just recently bought all your AVGN DVDs and every now and then I watch your stuff. Just great.
Really looking forward to the movie. It’s great you keep doing the regular episodes, but don’t over do it.
Greetings from Texas, I just have to say I love your show! I think I have seen every one of your episodes, I really enjoyed your videos, in particular, the one with Castlevania and Ninja Gaiden. I still watch all of your old episodes. I think what I enjoy the most is your reviews on not only the video games I grew up on, but also the movies that I grew up watching in the 80s and 90s. Keep up the good work!
Just to let you know James if you see this , but you were shown on a tv show called Good Game last night on the abc on Australian tv in a segment about video game music.
I created an account just to comment here! I wouldn’t have even known about you had it not been for screw attack hosting your AVGN videos. I am honestly glad you are going back to AVGN’s roots and producing videos with less production quality than your newer videos. I never cared how far you made it into the game, or how much you spent actually reviewing it. The only thing that really matters is learning about obscure games that I would otherwise never even know about.
That is the beauty of the AVGN. You play really terrible games from the past, you curse more than 3 sailors combined, and you get extremely pissed! I mean, It isn’t the ANGRY Video Game Nerd for no reason. We just want to see you get pissed off and quit playing, just like we would in your situation. That’s what the AVGN is all about, in my opinion anyway.
I’m Very Happy!!! i can’t believe that AVGN episodes will be back soon!! and you will continue making the movie, you are Great James!!. Greetings from Mexico !
Way to go above and beyond James.
You really care about your fanbase, that much is clear, but please don’t overdo it.
Contrary to popular belief, you are still human after all
Regards from England,
Ian
I’ve been hoping for a few old-style AVGN episodes. Although I do really like the crazy SFX, guys in costumes, over the top AVGN eps, I did miss the simplicity of the earlier eps, and with the tremendous workload that AVGN gives you, I’m kind of surprised you didn’t try that earlier.
Yeah!!!
I was getting scared when you started talking about choosing one or the other, so I’m really glad that you choose to do both.
I’m not worried that you make the Nerd’s Episodes with a quality from way before, because your imagination is the best to give great episodes!!!
YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEES!!!!! Awesome James. I love all your content and wasn’t going anywhere, but AVGN was special to me so I’m really happy you’re bringing him back. Missed him already!
Jame’s it’s MassholeMatt over here and I just want to say that you were DESTINED TO PLAY SHITTY GAME’S THAT SUCK ASS!!! You know I understand you want to make the fans happy, and some complain they want new nerd episodes or want a movie or want both but when you break it down you can’t split yourself in half along with your shit particles. I know you feel like you’re getting fkd in the ARSE and MOUTH. My personal opinion is that you should wait and not rush things because it’s just going to turn out shitty. As Malcom from Jurassic Park said, “now that’s one big pile of SHIT!” For the fans they need to learn that you’re a busy man and you have other priorities and for now AVGN is taking a vacation to go make a movie. If they were true fans they would support your decision no matter what even if you decide to dictate and you’re going to make a video game company to produce godly shit, shit of the shit video games. It’s funny it seems that ever time you do a Face2Cam E.T. is always behind you as if you were hinting something….wow, thanks for making me realize that E.T. loves to suck the shit outta peoples rectum, kinda like a colonostrophy. What I’m getting at is don’t feel pressured or rushed by the fans because then you might end up doing a kamakazi shit. Yeah that’s when you’re about to take a dump and you wait for the last minuet and you run to the toilet and your ass explodes and the shit is flying all over the walls. Seriously though don’t rush it because I know you know that rushed movies, t.v. shows etc that were rushed ended up to fk things up and well you know. If you like what you see Jame’s then MASSholeMatt will be here. Damn talking about shit made me want to shit now…
I’m very happy to see a return of the episodes, and I am more than happy to see simple and quick episodes. Just seeing your appearance on Pat’s marathon made my day. I would be all for other quick segments just like that.
Thanks for the update James! and I think there’s nothing wrong with the old episodes, they were just as awesome as the new ones in my opinion.
Good luck, and I can’t wait for more of the good stuff!
I’m really looking forward to see what your gonna do with the avgn in a movie. That said, if you can’t work the budget out with a moviecompany try crowdsourcing it with something like kickstarter.com. I can’t imagine i’m the only fan who is willing to back you up with this project.
Thanks for all your videos here on Cinemassacre!
Even if you would have said that you will stopped making Nerd episodes I would still support you! You gave me hours upon hours of entertainment on the highest quality and I salute you for that!
Thanks again and keep up the incredible work!
Oh, and I have to agree that AVGN lends itself very well to a sort of basic production! Got no problem with that even if the more grand episodes were awesome, too!
I think there has been some great suggestions in the comments already. If you feel under pressure, maybe just do a basic sort of commentary over a game as AVGN, perhaps with Mike or something. Whatever you enjoy! No matter what I’m very pleased to hear the AVGN is returning soon, even if all your content is great
I have the same view that ‘systemofrm’ ; however i think James wants to keep all his fans with him until the movie is done.
James is being nice: he spends time explaining clearly what he is doing and what he will do next. So stop complaining, guies, the only thing we can do now is wait for him to finish the avgn movie.
I totally agree with Daan, even if you put the nerd to rest I’d still be a big cinemassacre fan, even though I really like the AVGN stuff… As for what other people said I too hope you dont overdo it man because basic or not I can imagine that doing both the episodes and the movie is going to add strain… With that said I’m totally looking forward to seeing some good old classic AVGN and who knows it might be a great oppotunity to review some of the games that would be difficult to make large episodes about, but shitty in their own way… You totally got my support no matter what you do so best of luck with the movie man.
James understand in order to fund this movie he needs to make money and the way to do that is to get people coming to his site. Without new AVGN episodes people wont come back. He’s basically doing what Happy Days, Scrubs and soon to be The Office did. Continue making episodes until your show is dead, raped, and destroyed beyond recognition.
I mean he admitted himself that it’s getting to be the same fucking thing.
If he quits AVGN episodes what else does he have? Board James and Overanalyzers wont keep people coming back.
June 1, 2011 at 12:32 am
Can’t wait for the movie to come.

Awesome! this made my day!
June 1, 2011 at 12:37 am
Well, all I can say to you James and your crew is I wish you great success, and I certainly know you will make an excellent product by the end since of course all of your video editing, filming etc. is done extraordinarily well, and all your videos in general reflect your abilities.
June 1, 2011 at 12:40 am
Thank you for all your hard work James, it has brought me and many that I know years of joy!
June 1, 2011 at 12:42 am
All I can say is THANKS! By the way, you have a lot of fans in Newfoundland… If you know where that is lol.
June 1, 2011 at 12:44 am
Personally, I think your AVGN episodes have been taking a backseat to your Movie Reviews for me, anyway. Not to slam them, they’re fuckin’ sweet, but I find myself looking forward to the Reviews more.
Also, if he can/wants to, I think it’d be awesome if Motherfucker Mike started reviewing some of his/your massive DVD collection, like the movies themselves. Keep up the awesome.
June 1, 2011 at 12:47 am
HAHAHA FUCKINg AWESOME! This just made my day! ^^
June 1, 2011 at 12:53 am
I don’t know a single movie producer, and I’m not an actor, but you have my support. I can’t wait to see the AVGN movie.
June 1, 2011 at 12:53 am
hell I loved the basic format of your old videos, it shows more anger and frustrations you had with the games, than putting up a show more of what is happening with the newer episodes. Not to say your recent episodes aren’t good, there informative about the game, that’s nice and all, however lets see a pissed of avgn, kicking the !@%& out of a cartridge, because its Bulls%@t.
June 1, 2011 at 12:57 am
hey james, just wana say, you can stall the nerd episodes as long as you want to work on the movie. it gives you more free time to work on it and it will give us more time to feel fresh when a new episode comes. i would help if i can. i wish i am an actor of sum sort so that i can act for ur movie, and i wish im at least a working man so that i have money to help u. too bad im none of those things. all i can do is watch your shit and enjoy. anyway, good luck with your movie, thx for bringing the joy that you had brought for the past few years.
June 1, 2011 at 12:57 am
Thanks for everything you have done so far James. You are awesome and I can’t wait to see the AVGN movie!
June 1, 2011 at 12:57 am
Cool deal..I wish i could help….Im guessing James will be directing the film..I cant wait..I admire how hard he works…It inspires me to work harder on my stuff..http://www.youtube.com/user/whyhuman?feature=mhee I can’t seem to quit no matter what anyone tells me.Im going to try to start releasing at least two animations a month.Thank you James..Keep up the good work..:)
June 1, 2011 at 12:58 am
Totally psyched to hear you are continuing with the normal episodes. I was beginning to think we’d see an extended hiatus or the end of AVGN until the movie. I’m sure it’ll be quite an undertaking, but the fans definitely appreciate it big time (like myself). Also, imo, the last time you took a small break (last year), I thought the videos came back very strong and very funny.
One day we’ll have to come to terms of no more Nerd, but at least it’s not today! Keep on keepin’ on James.
June 1, 2011 at 12:59 am
Good to hear that you will make some more AVGN episodes. That’s fine if they are basic like 2006. Besides, arn’t there a ton of games that really there isn’t much content than like 4 miniutes? I like the idea of shorter episodes released here and there just to keep the Nerd in our minds for the next few years. Of course we have all the other Cinemassacre content too to watch.
June 1, 2011 at 1:04 am
Hey guys!…New AVGN episodes coming soon? Sounds great! And having them go back to just standard game reviews doesn’t sound bad at all to me! I was never big on the episodes with lots of theatrics.
Good luck with the movie. Doesn’t bother me it will take a few years to make. That’s much better than slapping something together real quick. Take your time with it….but man.
June 1, 2011 at 1:05 am
Holy fuck, dude. What a fucking trooper. Wish I had motivation like that. Then again, this video looks almost like a terrorist “read this while I hold a gun to your head” thing, so hopefully that’s not the case.
June 1, 2011 at 1:05 am
I want to see an American Movie style documentary about you making your movie. Just make sure you get an old guy who can’t remember his lines…
It’s alright, it’s okay… there’s something to live for! Jesus told me so!
June 1, 2011 at 1:07 am
Ohh god yes!! Yes…yes…yes! You hit it when you said any nerd episodes are better than none. I think they are the HEART of the following as well. Yes..please…give me something to look forward to on a random weekend…I love it! Trash a game…say “shit load of fuck” again…I will be there. I love your style. I know it’s a selfish love for your work…but I think all will agree when i say…we love the AVGN episodes. Thank you thank you thank you. Your work makes my day every time I see one. Long Live AVGN!!!!!!!!!!!!
June 1, 2011 at 1:09 am
How about donations? Would that help at all with production?
June 1, 2011 at 1:09 am
Just double the time that it takes to put out a Nerd video again. I don’t know, I have no idea how long things take. Do the movie reviews and Board James eat up lots of time? Are they coming out less? Or less good?
June 1, 2011 at 1:12 am
June 1, 2011 at 1:12 am
James….you are my hero. not because you’re starting to make more AVGN stuff again, but because you’re going to try and balance both the movie and web series at THE SAME TIME. that’s incredible. nuff said. lol.
June 1, 2011 at 1:12 am
June 1, 2011 at 1:16 am
I am really looking forward for this movie and I wish you the best luck with making it, Mr. Rolfe.
But I would preffer to wait for the episodes, because I think quality does matter. And you could use the time to produce the movie.
But of course I´ll like the new episodes when the come out, I don´t want to criticize your decission, I just think efficiently – at least I hope so!
June 1, 2011 at 1:19 am
I’m really looking forward to this AVGN movie. I hope you get a lot of support from your friends and fans. I love all the things you and Mike do, If you can keep making stuff like you always do while making the movie, that would be great. Keep up the awesome work.
June 1, 2011 at 1:22 am
Can’t wait for the movie I hope things fall in line and you can make a really good movie without losing all your sanity. Glad to know the nerd is coming back but if you need to take some time off from it to make your movie do so, I mean this is your dream where talking about.
June 1, 2011 at 1:25 am
Men, I support you James, we as your fans must be with you and this is a really stressful goal in your life.
I want to thank you for all that 100 videos, you Inspired me and you already prove what you can give to the world so man, take it easy, we must be gland instead of angry for no more videos.
You give us a gift with your talent, and you must forget the usual Internet Rant, this is your life, this is your goal, go for it.
I think what I am trying to say is, Go for it! Don´t stop to think about us it is your time man, give it a shot!
June 1, 2011 at 1:25 am
Looking forward to the movie. You should definitely do a behind the scene thing. I always like to watch behind the scenes footage of movies like b-rolls and stuff like that.
If you make a dvd too you can count on me to buy it.
June 1, 2011 at 1:27 am
The earlier episodes of AVGN were great. Going back to the basics feels like it will change things up and keep it a little more fresh.
June 1, 2011 at 1:28 am
You rock, James. Hey, it’s not for us to say what you should do, so go at your own pace. I wouldn’t mind at all if you focused on the movie, it’s going to be awesome.
June 1, 2011 at 1:28 am
James, thank you for the awesome news. Your logic is correct about shittier episodes being better than none at all. I was very excited to hear about an AVGN movie, but when I realized that you probably wouldn’t be releasing any new episodes while you worked on that I was sad. Thank you for not making that be the case.
Your work is among the funniest I’ve ever watched. I promise I’ll be among the first to buy your movie when it’s finished. Good luck with the filmmaking process. I know you guys can pull off a masterpiece!
June 1, 2011 at 1:31 am
good luck man!!
June 1, 2011 at 1:32 am
your last 2 words: that’s what she said
June 1, 2011 at 1:34 am
You do so much James…between AVGN and just your regular reviews and the like. It’s great. Thanks!
June 1, 2011 at 1:36 am
I like the more basic episodes just as well, there’s no need building some kind of a plot for each of them. Good luck with the movie, James! Can’t wait to see what you’re coming up with.
June 1, 2011 at 1:36 am
Good luck with the movie, can’t wait to see it
June 1, 2011 at 1:36 am
Hey James,
It’s interesting that you posting a video on this, because I’ve been thinking about the EXACT same topic.
June 1, 2011 at 1:37 am
Hey James, that’s terrific. However, please do not use any caps, you’re losing hair.
June 1, 2011 at 1:37 am
Casting: Me, James, Motherfucker Mike.
Location: My livingroom
Budget: Mountain Dew and Doritos
Special Skills: ESP and Psychic Commercials (For a nominal fee I will plant your movie previews into peoples dreams, I have my own team for this, and its totally not Inception [it totally is])
Preproduction done, lets get started.
June 1, 2011 at 1:38 am
Thanx for the update
June 1, 2011 at 1:39 am
U guys are looking at the next Spilberg or Lucas …. U r awesome James, and thanks for the comming shitty episodes… that’s better than nothing
June 1, 2011 at 1:39 am
YOu are doing ok
Just keep doing high quality stuff please
June 1, 2011 at 1:43 am
I guess on “paper” the only skills I have is 3 years of theatre experience. Which includes acting, building sets, painting sets, crew (holding certain props or moving parts of the set), placing microphones on actors, and some makeup work.
The best I could do is a small role, or be an assistant of some kind. I also live in New Hampshire, so that’s a good distance away.
June 1, 2011 at 1:46 am
Basic episodes might not be a shitty idea after all, I kinda like em.
June 1, 2011 at 1:46 am
I think i pretty much know what the story entails for the movie and i love it already. I didn’t think you’d do both movie and show but hey, if you think you can handle it. I don’t think your fans will complain if you stopped. Their pretty loyal, Long live the Nerd
June 1, 2011 at 1:47 am
Between me and you, James, I personally think that the Nerd episodes should just be stick to being on hold. We can tell the Nerd movie needs your whole attention, and continuing on with the Nerd series will further delay the movie for sure.
If it takes 2+ years or whatever, then fine. We still got 101 episodes to run back to when we need our Nerd fix. If you want make maybe an episode like maybe once or twice or year (for like Christmas or whatever), that’s fine.
I just feel the way you announced that the episodes were coming back was a decision you didn’t want to make. Do what you think is right, James.
June 1, 2011 at 1:47 am
Sounds like a plan James. I didn’t know it takes that long to make a movie, especially pre-production. It makes me wonder what some of the big name studios have in plan for movies that we won’t see for another couple of years.
Anyways, it sounds like it’s going to be great to watch, so I’ll be looking forward to watching it. I’m curious though, will you be hosting the entire movie on your site to watch for free? or will it be released as a movie for a few bucks?
June 1, 2011 at 1:50 am
Thanks for the update James, your fans are here to support you man. I’m actually surprised you’re going to put out nerd episodes, your multitasking is insane and much appreciated. I think you have a big group of fans that would actually really enjoy seeing a return to the quick, early nerd style episodes. I personally miss the raw, less produced style from the early days sometimes, in a way it’ll be refreshing to see this approach to the videos again. Keep it up man, we’re excited to see more stuff!
June 1, 2011 at 1:51 am
I support this. I actually like the more basic and informative formula on what makes the game bad type of episodes.
June 1, 2011 at 1:52 am
James…You are the man Wow! Movie and episodes!? Your badass!! I mean ive been watching all your episodes to try and hold me over. Well i just wanted to say good luck James and we look forward to your masterpiece.
June 1, 2011 at 1:53 am
I think the less involved/less production involved in the episodes, it’s almost for the better. While the idea is to be able to devote a lot more attention to the film, I think the break period will allow a lot more games to be reviewed that don’t necessarily have 15/20 minutes worth of material in them. It’ll be able to give those games a chance while still giving the fans their fix and allowing the movie a good opportunity to get completed.
June 1, 2011 at 1:55 am
June 1, 2011 at 1:58 am
Wich you all the luck!
This clip was scary because of the E.T – Doll standing there and staring at James.
June 1, 2011 at 1:58 am
As a movie maker myself (mostly script and directing) it’s amazing to see you actually doing both the episodes and the feature film! I would not be able to do anythink like that. That’s really great of you.
I’d love to be a part of the film in any sort of way, but since I live in Sweden that might be a hard thing to do.
I’d love to see some behind-the-scenes footage of you directing. You are directing, aren’t you? Always thought you would, but I can’t recall you saying you would. Maybe the script and playing the lead role is enough.
Not gonna drag it out. Are you directing the film?
June 1, 2011 at 1:59 am
I don’t think it has been suggested but why not make a page over at Kickstarter? Figure it would be perfect to help for funding ^^
Website link: http://www.kickstarter.com/
June 1, 2011 at 2:00 am
love you james! thanks for continuing the episodes; you are very good to us fans
June 1, 2011 at 2:02 am
I hope the script can get some revisions soon for new and old fans. I am glad James is taking time and not rushing himself, sorta like Terrance Malick.
June 1, 2011 at 2:03 am
Love your work James! Great to hear you’re doing both the movie and episodes! Good luck with it all man!
June 1, 2011 at 2:03 am
June 1, 2011 at 2:03 am
Travis Metcalf has a great idea about doing video game reviews as yourself James. I think maybe that’s something you could do and just give us your perception of what you went through when you played them as a kid. There are a lot of great games out there that need exposure just as much, if not more than the bad ones. I think that’s a great idea. It would probably be quicker to do too since you already know the good games from your youth, which was my youth too since we’re from the same generation.
June 1, 2011 at 2:07 am
Hmm… will the movie be E.T. related?
June 1, 2011 at 2:08 am
I don’t think that the “theatrics” necessary made the episodes good. Don’t get me wrong, I appreciated them, but if you have clever, funny, or just interesting things to say about a game I don’t think you need costumes or effects.
June 1, 2011 at 2:08 am

June 1, 2011 at 2:09 am
I support you all the way James! Keep ‘em coming!
June 1, 2011 at 2:09 am
Great update James! I am excited for the movie (whenever it comes out) and excited for the new nerd episodes. I am kinda excited actually that you are going back to the basics with them. (although your idea of basic still blows the crap out of the majority of video producers online) You don’t always need huge production and theatrics to make the Nerd great. Hell, my favorite episodes are from the first 2 years or so of you doing them.
Keep on doing what you do, and I will keep supporting you!
June 1, 2011 at 2:09 am
My hat’s off to you, my friend. I thank you.

June 1, 2011 at 2:12 am
Jay from Dublin, Ireland
June 1, 2011 at 2:13 am
The internet has a bad case of ADD. The production quality on AVGN is what sets it apart from most web shows. By focusing to much on the movie the “buzz” you have generated will fade away.
Its a long road ahead cinemassacre I’m sure you will make it.
June 1, 2011 at 2:13 am
Im pleased to see that the older episodes are going to follow an older standard. Ide rather have nerd episodes like they were rather than what they have become if it means actual episodes. Good luck on the movie
June 1, 2011 at 2:15 am
just promise us all you won’t work yourself to death, james. simple episodes can be good, but if it comes down to the series and your mental/physical health like it has in the past, put yourself first.
that said, i look forward to new episodes!
June 1, 2011 at 2:16 am
This is probably the greatest video put on this site in months, because of the hope it brings. Classic-style AVGN episodes!
Wait shit
Am I going to have to change my account to WHAR MONSTER MADNESS?
June 1, 2011 at 2:16 am
Mike/James,
If you guys decide to do an independent film, you might want to check out http://www.kickstarter.com
You can ask for pledges for kick starting projects, films, etc.
It might be a good place to start, if you can get an idea of some amount of money you need.
June 1, 2011 at 2:17 am
You have all my support James , just keep AVGN alive and I would really prefer basic AVGN episodes, it is all about the past after all , where all the fancy editing and visual effects did not even exist …
June 1, 2011 at 2:20 am
Wow James, you’re a machine! I was not expecting this. Good luck on pre-production man. I know you’ll do great things with it.
June 1, 2011 at 2:24 am
Love and Support from Canada my friend, keep up the good work and make sure not to burn out or something bad like that, ’cause it would suck balls
June 1, 2011 at 2:25 am
Sounds great. Thank you for everything on this site, makes me want to buy all of the DVDs and a Cinemassacre shirt. Where did the store go anyway? It just redirects to the Cinemassacre homepage. I’d love a grey shirt.
June 1, 2011 at 2:26 am
Good luck, James. I really appreciate you are trying to, in addition to doing the movie, continue with the chapters. It doesn’t matter if they are short or long, if you made them they will always be funny.
As I’ve said, good luck with the movie, James. Greetings from Spain.
June 1, 2011 at 2:27 am
If people want new AVGN I say put your money where your mouth is or just let them make their movie!

Thank you very much!

Keep on rollin’ baby!
June 1, 2011 at 2:31 am
I can still easily watch your 2006 episodes & laugh, sometimes the ol’ less is more still applies.
Best of luck with the movie & I just hope you don’t burn yourself out.
June 1, 2011 at 2:32 am
I created an account right now just to say James you are an amazing person. Even though you may not read this I want to express my gratitude on how you care for the fans and decide to take time out of the movie (which is your biggest dream, to produce a movie) in order to please fans. And who cares if they’re not great? It’s like you said,”better shitty then nothing.” I hope the best for you and everything to come in the future days and months of the episodes and the movie. I am a fan of your work and a fan of your dedication and care for your other fans.
P.s. I hope the Cinemassacre iPhone app hits the shelves soon

Sounds like a totally fair comprimise

HUGE FAN=) I checkout your site at least twice a day. You just have a way of putting thing in there place. Its perfect the whole thing is perfect the idea of AVGN is awesome we have all been there playing NES. The video of you as a kid getting mad playing SM2 was priceless. Well good luck man on the movie and all other projects. If you make it we will watch.

Hello from Italy James!!
June 1, 2011 at 2:43 am
i’m a really huge fan of all your videos and movies.
It would be awesome if you reviewed some sega saturn games.
June 1, 2011 at 2:44 am
June 1, 2011 at 2:47 am
June 1, 2011 at 2:52 am
I love your work James. I just recently bought all your AVGN DVDs and every now and then I watch your stuff. Just great.
Really looking forward to the movie. It’s great you keep doing the regular episodes, but don’t over do it.
Big fan from Estonia

Greetings from Texas, I just have to say I love your show! I think I have seen every one of your episodes, I really enjoyed your videos, in particular, the one with Castlevania and Ninja Gaiden. I still watch all of your old episodes. I think what I enjoy the most is your reviews on not only the video games I grew up on, but also the movies that I grew up watching in the 80s and 90s. Keep up the good work!
June 1, 2011 at 2:54 am
There are like a million things that point to ET in the background of this video.

June 1, 2011 at 2:58 am
I’m Very Happy!!! i can’t believe that AVGN episodes will be back soon!! and you will continue making the movie, you are Great James!!. Greetings from Mexico
!
June 1, 2011 at 3:01 am
Way to go above and beyond James.
You really care about your fanbase, that much is clear, but please don’t overdo it.
Contrary to popular belief, you are still human after all

I’ve been hoping for a few old-style AVGN episodes. Although I do really like the crazy SFX, guys in costumes, over the top AVGN eps, I did miss the simplicity of the earlier eps, and with the tremendous workload that AVGN gives you, I’m kind of surprised you didn’t try that earlier.
June 1, 2011 at 3:05 am
Yeah!!!
I was getting scared when you started talking about choosing one or the other, so I’m really glad that you choose to do both.
I’m not worried that you make the Nerd’s Episodes with a quality from way before, because your imagination is the best to give great episodes!!!
June 1, 2011 at 3:08 am
Great news James!! I like basic AVGN episodes, old skool all the way. Good luck with the movie.
June 1, 2011 at 3:09 am
Keep up the good job James.
Though I can actually live without the episodes as long as you put your time on the movie and make it as good as possible.
You got our support.
Sweden out.

Nice lighting , btw.

This message made my day, you’ve got all our support from Bulgaria :]
June 1, 2011 at 3:21 am
YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEES!!!!! Awesome James. I love all your content and wasn’t going anywhere, but AVGN was special to me so I’m really happy you’re bringing him back. Missed him already!
Keep at it – really appreciated
June 1, 2011 at 3:22 am
Damn talking about shit made me want to shit now…
June 1, 2011 at 3:24 am
I’m very happy to see a return of the episodes, and I am more than happy to see simple and quick episodes. Just seeing your appearance on Pat’s marathon made my day. I would be all for other quick segments just like that.
Good luck James, and God bless you.
June 1, 2011 at 3:25 am
Thanks for the update James! and I think there’s nothing wrong with the old episodes, they were just as awesome as the new ones in my opinion.
Good luck, and I can’t wait for more of the good stuff!
June 1, 2011 at 3:25 am
I’m really looking forward to see what your gonna do with the avgn in a movie. That said, if you can’t work the budget out with a moviecompany try crowdsourcing it with something like kickstarter.com. I can’t imagine i’m the only fan who is willing to back you up with this project.
Succes from the netherlands
June 1, 2011 at 3:26 am
Thanks for all your videos here on Cinemassacre!
Even if you would have said that you will stopped making Nerd episodes I would still support you! You gave me hours upon hours of entertainment on the highest quality and I salute you for that!
Thanks again and keep up the incredible work!
June 1, 2011 at 3:26 am
Total support from Spain! I have all your dvds
June 1, 2011 at 3:35 am
Do whatever you want to do, James! We still support you!
June 1, 2011 at 3:38 am
Oh, and I have to agree that AVGN lends itself very well to a sort of basic production! Got no problem with that even if the more grand episodes were awesome, too!
I think there has been some great suggestions in the comments already. If you feel under pressure, maybe just do a basic sort of commentary over a game as AVGN, perhaps with Mike or something. Whatever you enjoy! No matter what I’m very pleased to hear the AVGN is returning soon, even if all your content is great
June 1, 2011 at 3:38 am
Don’t do avgn episodes if you think you’re forced to, do whatever you want james.
June 1, 2011 at 3:40 am
I could have been in acting a year or so ago but I got lazy XP
Anyway, good luck with the movie James, we can live with original episodes as long as you get the movie done
June 1, 2011 at 3:41 am
Thanks you for the Uptdate James !
from Canada
June 1, 2011 at 3:44 am
I have the same view that ‘systemofrm’ ; however i think James wants to keep all his fans with him until the movie is done.
James is being nice: he spends time explaining clearly what he is doing and what he will do next. So stop complaining, guies, the only thing we can do now is wait for him to finish the avgn movie.
June 1, 2011 at 3:45 am
I totally agree with Daan, even if you put the nerd to rest I’d still be a big cinemassacre fan, even though I really like the AVGN stuff… As for what other people said I too hope you dont overdo it man because basic or not I can imagine that doing both the episodes and the movie is going to add strain… With that said I’m totally looking forward to seeing some good old classic AVGN and who knows it might be a great oppotunity to review some of the games that would be difficult to make large episodes about, but shitty in their own way… You totally got my support no matter what you do so best of luck with the movie man.
June 1, 2011 at 3:50 am
Yeah, that’s what we all waited for a long time now!
June 1, 2011 at 3:56 am
James understand in order to fund this movie he needs to make money and the way to do that is to get people coming to his site. Without new AVGN episodes people wont come back. He’s basically doing what Happy Days, Scrubs and soon to be The Office did. Continue making episodes until your show is dead, raped, and destroyed beyond recognition.
I mean he admitted himself that it’s getting to be the same fucking thing.
If he quits AVGN episodes what else does he have? Board James and Overanalyzers wont keep people coming back.
June 1, 2011 at 4:05 am
On an unrelated note, are you going to be at E3 this year as well? And upload footage?
