Evil Empire Entertainment

James / May 7th, 2011

I just wanted to take a moment to introduce Kevin Finn, who is my writing partner on the AVGN movie, and Sean Keegan who is a producer. They’ve been my friends since highschool and are working together with me to get the new movie made. They just launched a new website EvilEmpireEntertainment.tv. Check it out.

What an extremely old fashioned and badly done website. Does anyone enjoy a site where you can’t turn the music off? I apologize for being so negative, but what I’m really saying is that you guys need to improve it if you want to be taken seriously.

Kevin Finn was amazing as the Ninja in the Ninja Gaiden episode. If his writing skills are as good as his improv on the outtakes for that episode, this movie is in excellent hands. Easily my favorite AVGN outtake.

For some reason, i have always been interested in the length of movies, so how long is AVGN the movie going to be? Should be judgeable by the length of the script

What an awesome website, I had fun just navigating through it.

I like it, but I must warn you that there’s an adult movie company called EVIL EMPIRE as well. I’d hate for someone to be misconstrued or some sort of legality issue arises. Best of luck on that new stuff to Kevin!

I’m going to have to agree with others that the website needs some serious work. It’s almost nothing but flash and it’s annoying to have to wait for the page to load every time you click on something. Combined with a generally unappealing look… yeah…

They could take some lessons from the cinemassacre website, which is far superior in my opinion.

I’m so worried about the movie. How do you take a concept like AVGN and turn a review show into a 90 minute movie? However, I think that having no expectations ahead of time and watching something for what it is, and not what I envision it to be is the solution… However I can’t wait for the basement Nerds to attack hardcore when it doesn’t live up to what they believe it should be. That will be hilarious.

Dudes. That site is like something out of 2005. Very unprofessional to have such a dated looking site. Especially for some guys looking to make a movie. The continually playing background music is annoying to say the least.

The images are a bunch of artsy pretentious crap. Like the rabbit doll in front of the TV as one example. What the hell is that supposed to be? That’s the kind of thing people do when they don’t have any actual solid ideas.

I wish you the best with your movie endeavors. But that site is pathetic. Like, come on!!!!

It’s interesting, but the novelty of a flash website wears off quickly and they should just ditch most of the animations and have a normal site with a normal layout.

Also, I really, really, REALLY like NIN, but the song shouldn’t be there unless it has a pause bar or something.

is it going to shown in Australia???

You go James Rofle, hope you make that movie, when it’s out i may want to search for it all over Singapore to find it

Is that Nine Inch Nails I hear? Personally, I’m a huge Nails fan and could listen to that all day, but some people would probably want the option to turn the music off.

I wouldn’t let Finn near that movie, he’ll glitch it to infinity and beyond.

    Female condoms. Haha.

The site works and looks just fine to me, although I agree that having background music that you can’t turn off is a little annoying – even if it’s from an awesome band like NIN.

At any rate, I wish you guys all the best and I hope you have fun making your movie.

So I’m trying to figure out a name for my new production company, and I’m trying to decide between two names – its either going to be Vivid Video or Wicked Pictures. What do you guys think?

  • May 20, 2011 at 9:52 am

I can’t believe everyone is complaining about the website! I thought it was awesome! I understand the comments on the continuous music, but I actually don’t mind that. It creates a kind of peaceful meditation for me. I imagine the guys made the website like that on purpose. Some people like design like that, it is unique. I guess most people go for whatever is currently popular. Oh well, everyones got their own taste. Good luck James and friends! I love your work and am excited to see all the new things you create in the future!
