Good point! In Finland, I get mostly my stuff in bubble plastic and newspaper wich sure is easy to open. Bubble plastic is nice to pop with fingers. But rarely I see peanuts in my packages. I’m really happy to see Bullshit man hit the scene once again!

Never came across either of those myself but the packing “peanuts” I’ve seen in movies and on television. That fiber filling sure looks like bullshit though. Why can’t they just use those envelopes that have bubble wrap on the inside? I’ve also had some stuff in the mail with bubble wrap that was HUGE. I mean a single bubble was the size of a fist. Now imagine popping those.

Oh wow, I’m finally glad too that You Know What’s Bullshit? is back after a 2 year absence. Fibre Filled envelopes I’ve never encountered before myself and I have to say by looking at this that it’s the worst form of packaging I’ve ever seen. Packing Peanuts I’ve never thought to be annoying but using it just for a small toy or anything else that’s small in a big box is just stupid, why couldn’t they just use a smaller box that fits it?
Anyway, I’m happy this series is back and I’m looking forward to more new episodes.

Awesome! Man…has it really been two years? Who cares! I agree fully – especially as a guy who makes his living selling stuff on the internet. Bubble wrap, bubble lined mailers and wadded up newspaper are the only things I use. Unless the buyer is a dick, in that case I line the box with a few pounds of cow dung! ^_^

I might just have had the luck to not run into them, but I don’t think we use those fiber-filled envelopes. Only seen bubble plastic envelopes, which are a far-cry from messy, and offer decent protection as far as I can tell (the fact that most of those bubbles are intact should indicate that).

I’ve definitely encountered that “fiber” material before in other places though, and it’s fucking gross. Where do they even get that shit from? It’s like they went around with a giant lint-collector and then processed a bunch of lint together in to a single piece. gross..
Packing peanuts definitely suck ass. I’m glad to see more places are going for bubblewrap/air bags and stuff. At least Amazon does.

damn, I’ve never seen fiber filled envelopes before! The only things I used/seen so far are newspaper, tissues, foam, bubblewrap, paper shreds, crushed paper, styrofoam-peanuts (HATE those things!) and air-filled pincushions. Bubblewrap, crushed paper newspaper and pincushions are the most popular over here.

Never seen the fiber filled ones. I got those “peanuts” when ordering from Japan. I loved it, it didn’t stick to me and i didn’t drop any on the floor, so i really don’t see a problem with that, oh well… 99% of the time i get bubble or nothing

Whenever I get those padded envelopes I just open them right at the seal, so I’ve never had to worry about that stuff.
I do hate packing peanuts though. The static electricity always makes them stick to you too. I like those bags of air people tend to use now a lot more. They’re fun to pop and easy to throw away.

I have to agree on the packing peanuts. You need chemicals to break that shit down. The worst part is that no one wants to use old packing peanuts and no one wants to store them. There is however an alternative to them. Corn Starch packing peanuts are the way to go. They break down with water and were just invented not too long ago.

Hey, hey guys. I work in mail. I purposely use extra amounts of packing peanuts to piss people off.
I’ve also sent letters/small packages in huge boxes and various other things completely submerged in packing peanuts. Sometimes I will stick a “this way up” sticker on the box and plant the object they want right at the bottom so they open it from the top and they have to dig all the way down to the bottom.
