First in a series of improv productions with Cinevore. We discuss different pop culture questions. The first topic: Batman! (In the 1966 TV series, how do Bruce Wayne and Dick Grayson turn into Batman and Robin by sliding down poles?) Feel free to discuss.

March 30, 2011 at 3:09 am
great!:D
March 30, 2011 at 3:37 am
Good job, but would be just as good if not better if it was just James and Mike.
March 30, 2011 at 3:38 am
Why is that fat chick doing a Natasha voice from Rocky and Bullwinkle? Huh?
February 23, 2013 at 9:42 pm
Why are you an asshole? Huh? Im sure your’e the model of physicallity.
February 25, 2013 at 1:06 am
well i dont dislike her because she is fat its just that she is boring as shit
March 30, 2011 at 3:47 am
I think that Robin and Batman enter the tubes and stop midway to the bottom to have hardcore gay sex, then re-enter the batcave with their fetish costumes still on. In order to run-off some post-coital energy (and the meth high) they take the batmobile out for a spin. Crimes that they encounter while out on these post-fuck excursions are co-incidental.
November 2, 2014 at 4:45 pm
Amazing… Just Amazing.
March 30, 2011 at 4:19 am
Nice first episode, I’ll keep an eye out for the future ones!
March 30, 2011 at 4:35 am
Awesome, this is a great new series where I like to see more in the future. The old 60’s Batman was just slap stick and unrealistic in comparison to Batman Begins and the Dark Knight which are more realistic.
March 30, 2011 at 5:09 am
The trickiest bit is this: How the hell do they put GLOVES on while holding onto the poles?? They can’t take their hands off the poles, but you can’t put gloves on without at least one free hand! I think the real question here is how many terrible injuries did Batman and Robin sustain working out the kinks in this system?
My guess:
Bruce and Dick slide down the top of the poles. Midway down, there’s some kind of closet built onto the pole itself. They stop at this pole-closet, strip down, stuff their clothes into a bag that they leave in the closet, put on their costumes, and then open the closet floors and slide the rest of the way. Wah-lah! Batman and Robin. They just change really, REALLY fast.
March 30, 2011 at 5:30 am
Sweeeeeet! this was awesome.
March 30, 2011 at 5:31 am
I’m pretty sure that they use some phantom zone equip. they borrowed from Superman to zap off their old clothes and zap on their costumes.
March 30, 2011 at 5:38 am
What the hell just happen? Amazing first episode
March 30, 2011 at 5:42 am
I’m a big fan of almost everything cinemassacre does. But I am really not feeling, or buying the whole Russian accent that ‘stephanie’ does. It adds nothing to the skit, and if anything it makes it worse. She really does not have a quality and believable accent, and it should 100% be left out of the future episodes. Other then that, I enjoyed the show. Keep the good stuff coming!
March 30, 2011 at 5:51 am
well I think I am getting to old for this, so no good comment!
I must stop watching this, I thought you had a bigger project in mind but I guess you are not ready yet!
leave this kind of stuff for younger less creative people like the G4 guys!
P.S, the rest of the crew sucks you and mike are enough for this kind of thing (probably I would like it just with the two of you)
March 30, 2011 at 6:08 am
I think the biggest twist is the optional Negate switch, which seems to be in plain site. Being that it is huge like that, it looks serious enough to power a high voltage device. Since Alfred hurried to change its state hints that there is some automation to the process.
Another thing not discussed is the length of the pole. Although it may look instintaneous, the pole may be very deep – they are falling from a mansion to a cave.
Interesting that the girl picked a russian accent for this video. I think I liked it.
March 30, 2011 at 6:09 am
There is a series of tumbles and ledges that they quickly jump on and off on the way down that have mechanical arms, that when done with an acrobats precision, take their clothes off and put them back on. The garments are then discarded through the Manor’s laundry shoot system, controlled by Alfred.
March 30, 2011 at 6:32 am
That was great! I’ve been looking forward to this for a bit. But, I find that in OverAnalyzers, I find myself drifting away from what they are talking about. (Of course, it is the first episode.) If i could fix 3 things in OverAnalyzers it would be, 1. Making the cast talk one after another? just bcuz it seems Jim, Mike and Susie talk the most of all 5 of you. I find Matt and Lee don’t talk much at all. As a matter of fact i find that it’s mainly Jim and Mike talking the most. What’s the point of having only 2 people of 5 that say more than 2 sentence per episode? 2. I think Jim, Mike and Susie is enough. Matt and Lee , sure they are okay, it’s only the first episode, i know. BUT, Jim, Mike and Susie. Enough said. 3. I’m not sure how to word this, but…. During the show you should have little cartoons or something that animate the current thing or situation that you are suggesting. For example, If you say “Maybe Batman and Robin enter a different dimension before they change from Bruce to Batman and Dick to Robin.” You should have it animated to keep the audience interested in the topic. (Kindof like Myth Busters). I hope this helps. Other than though’s few things, James, Mike…. This is A GREAT , 3.5/5 stars. Hopefully we fans can help you guys improve. – Quen
March 30, 2011 at 6:46 am
Anything that James touches is gold. He’s funny and imaginative; he’s in his element with this. Susie’s poor accent is distracting, annoying and unnecessary. Councillor Troi tried the same accent for an episode or two, and she dropped it, cuz it’s hard to relate to such an unnatural character, imo. Learn from others’ mistakes. Suzie’s character’s lame, cuz any comment or idea she has comes off forced and artificial. Her spontaneity will constantly be hampered by this goofy, unbelievable accent.
I think that the bat cave is further underground than any of us suspected. This provides ample time for robotic arms, in conjunction with powerful fans, to carefully disrobe and redress them.
They’re able to let go of the pole momentarily when changing their shirts due to their highly developed leg muscles, no doubt.
March 30, 2011 at 6:49 am
WTF is up with the shitty fake accent.
March 30, 2011 at 6:50 am
Awesome concept š Very cool show !
But one question: Is it my PC or is the framerate pretty bad ?
March 30, 2011 at 7:16 am
Have to agree with a few people here. The accent is pretty weird and just serves as a distraction instead of adding something. I wouldn’t mind if it was dropped in future episodes.
And it seems there is some sort of machine that zaps them into their batclothes. Seeing there is a negate batchange switch it must do something to the machine or stop it from working on that certain pole. And would explain why each had their distinctive own pole.
But a good first episode. I’d work on some things (the opening didn’t really convince me, I think susie would be better without the accent and a way to get everyone to chime in instead of a few people kind of “dominating” the conversation) and then it could be a great show.
March 30, 2011 at 7:22 am
I remember a switch, Batman and Robin pulled during the slide, but I can’t remember what it was for. I also used some kind of dressing machine like in Wallace and Gromit, but I always thought of the way the “Filmation Ghostbusters” get dressed. Thinking about this important matter again, maybe all their clothes have some sort of hidden velcro which would allow a machine to rip apart and rebuild their clothings.
Sprays are known to be very sophisticated in that Batman Universe, so maybe they used some sort of Hide-Velcro-Spray.
I could be wrong, though.
No crtitisism on the your new show here. I let you guys do your thing, eventhough some points raised may have been valid observations.
March 30, 2011 at 8:30 am
I really enjoyed this episode. I love it when Mike and James debate funny/ironic/crazy stuff like this. I look forward to seeing how this series evolves.
That being said, I really don’t dig the “accent” that Stephanie was doing. It seems forced, and out of place. It really just turned me off.
March 30, 2011 at 9:12 am
It would have been funnier if you’d taken everything completely serious, but maybe that would have been hard while improving.
It was still pretty fun. Will keep watching.
March 30, 2011 at 9:20 am
I don’t get why people complain about the accent… not really a problem.
Nice work, guys. I just wonder what kind of crazy\retro subjects you’re gonna discuss!!
March 30, 2011 at 9:24 am
James, as a true fan who loves and looks forward to your AVGN updates with considerable nostalgia and enthusiasm, I feel the need to offer a little critique here. While the concept of the show is reasonably intriguing, this episode (and, i expect, those to come in this series) proves to be far less packed with witty observations when compared with your “Bullshit” or “AVGN” productions. Why? Because your ‘team’ subtracts much more than adds. You and Mike are clearly the sharpest duo in the analyser cave. The bearded guy comes off as completely inhibited, like he doesn’t know why is the camera is up in his face. The other guy’s constant grin is annoying–like a kid thats been fed too many nutella sandwiches. And as for Stephanie, the accent (and lip stick) come off as a very last ditch attempt to insert some sex appeal into the manly mix. But everybody in soviet russia and elsewhere knows that when you want sex appeal you hire a sexy people. If stephanie’s here for her brains, let her great insights stand or fall in plain english, without the pretentious accent. In this episode he seemed to be an unnecessary moderator in an already orderly and civil debate. James, your fans want you to get the recognition you deserve, not see you invest your energies in diluted projects. It must be nice to not have to pull all the weight with this one, but you haven’t combined forces with teammates of equal worth, man. Other than Mike, the rest of these people are just riding your coattails. Paracites on James Rolfe’s art and creative production. Keep bringing out that nerd rage and frustration within yourself, James. Point out the bullshit in the world that the rest of us are too inhibited to point out. Dont forget that you’re a hero of sorts to our generation. PS loved the reference to “American Movie.”
March 30, 2011 at 9:42 am
^^ I agreed with #1 in that I thought it might be a little more witty than this, and I thought the accent on the girl was confusing. Maybe it will be explained later why it’s important that she talks like that?
I dunno, I guess I expected you to be picking apart movies or tv in a little more depth (maybe like the Plinkett reviews from Red Letter Media), not such a trifle and over-the-top concept like this one.
Looking forward to liking later episodes of this series more.
PS I always thought it was like a Superman-type thing where they spin around real fast at a certain point on the pole and magically change.
March 30, 2011 at 9:46 am
I always thought what happens is they go through a machine in an alternate dimension like the Ghostbusters in Filmation’s Ghostbusters do (and you can tell it’s an alternate dimension because just look at the background) but the reason they couldn’t show it is because it was the 60’s and you couldn’t show people in there underwear on TV, or at least a family show like Batman.
March 30, 2011 at 9:46 am
I’ve been excited about this project since it was announced, and I was not disappointed
I mean, an American Movie reference right off the bat? That’s fucking awesome!
Mike and Matt had me cracking up! As did James’ alternate dimension argument :p
Excellent debut, can’t wait for the rest of them!
March 30, 2011 at 9:58 am
Well, i usually like your work very much. This one, not. It was weak and unfunny as hell. There are to many useless people on the discussion board, specially the girl. I agree with much that fuzzielogic posted. I really think that you should take a rest and work on less projects cause you are doing to much and it shows, the quality is droping fast.
The last couple of AVGN were weak too.
March 30, 2011 at 10:02 am
I see a mixed bag.
Some very funny moments.
But, I see some long gaps where it becomes stagnant.
This is an excellent idea! However, a little more scripting may be necessary to keep some less than hilarious parts from becoming long and drawn out by more less then hilarious parts.
Are my expectations too high? May be they are, this is just my 2 cents.
Not trying to troll at all, it was a good first episode.
March 30, 2011 at 10:04 am
fuzzie is over-analyzing the overanalyzers, how ironic lol. I like it, I’m not gonna lie it’s no avgn but you know you don’t owe the critics anything, make what you want and if some angry fan insists that you stop then he can stop watching.
I think it dragged on a little too long, like the first half was pretty funny then it got kind of boring. That’s my 2 cents anyway but it’s still not bad.
March 30, 2011 at 10:23 am
You know what’s been bothering me though. I watched Tremors II the other day and I haven’t seen it in forever and I noticed that Burt only has one bullet for the anti tank rifle. Now I know that most people would point out the ambush and say that is how he ran out of ammo but he said that he took them out with small arms and hand to hand tactics which would exclude the rifle… okay and they were using explosives to kill the graboids when they were in the worm state. So why the hell does he only have 1 bullet!!?? Was he just hoping not to use it at all and hang it on his wall when he got home? What’s the deal with that?
March 30, 2011 at 10:24 am
Couldn’t stop laughing. You kicked right into a basic idea of continuity and ran wild with it. Each person had at least one funny idea to add with another person’s reaction to it. Loved how mike was so obsessed with nudity. It was also bookended extremely well with the alternate dimension idea. Looking forward to more of these especially when the other three people get into their roles of the show. You’re going in the right direction loved every minute of this!
March 30, 2011 at 10:32 am
Btw also loved how you guys hid one of the lights. Didn’t noticed the pictures until the second watch.
March 30, 2011 at 10:50 am
Why does that lady sound russian for? The ideas was coming James and Mike. Mike should do his own show!!!!! The other two guys didnt bring to much to the topic. I always though there was a spot on the pole where they stopped and change outfits and went back down. Mike really needs to do his own show he is funny!!!!!!!!!!!
March 30, 2011 at 10:56 am
i dont like it never ever do another episode, well if ur gonna do another one at least get rid of the girl she is not interesting interested or fkn good looking at all there is no need for this fat slut to be in this series of mediocre videos
March 30, 2011 at 10:58 am
The fake Russian accent is a little too much.
March 30, 2011 at 11:18 am
Hey James, I actually thought this was pretty good. The directing is definitely a step up from some of the other videos I’ve seen (not that they were bad… just that this one seems a little more… I dunno, something I’d see on TV as opposed to something on the web [if that makes sense]). Some commentary was great, some good, some not, but this is a pilot so that’s to be expected. I love the idea, so I’m looking forward to more episodes! Keep it up!
March 30, 2011 at 11:34 am
Looking at all of this criticism reminds me of the wisdom of Ben “Yahtzee” Croshaw when he said, “āFans are clingy, complaining dipshits who will never, ever be grateful for any concession you make. The moment you shut out their shrill, tremulous voices, the happier youāll be for it.ā
March 30, 2011 at 11:45 am
I really liked it. It’s very funny and out there, I can’t wait for future episodes. I especially loved the alternate dimension bit. I love Russian accents(no, not for the sex appeal. Russian accents are awesome), which made Stephanie all the more humorous. Her and Mike have great characters in the show.
March 30, 2011 at 11:54 am
Always loved james’ voice, and always loved mikes laugh. This is a good addition to cinemassacre.
March 30, 2011 at 12:11 pm
I would guess that both wayne and dick have their suites under their normal clothes, and somehow the normal clothes is taken off during the slide down the poles š
March 30, 2011 at 12:14 pm
Liked it. Good first episode shake down… Alot of potential when it comes to sci fi shows. Hope it evolves a little, get a little more from the others in the group.
March 30, 2011 at 12:28 pm
James’s work always impresses me, and this new series is not an exception. The potential on not only James’s projects, but on the overall future form of internet media continues to expand. And It’s interesting how such casual and simple sketch of James and Mike’s can prove so.
But I guess the internet is just not ready for it. Theses comments… are just hopeless. Do these people want to, what, tie James into a chair and have him produce AVGN episodes for eternity? I’d understand honest feedbacks with critiques on popular appeals, or expressing whether or not if his work meets personal entertainment values along with. Thats really one of the most help in form of communication we can provide. But what we’re saying… Seriously? “there is no need for this fat slut to be in this series of mediocre videos”? WTF
As for the episode it self, I sure got a laugh out of it, and I look forward to future episodes. Nevertheless I do agree with two common opinions: One, yes, James and Mike do stick out. Two, the Russian accent is too much for me as well. But this is only the first episode, after all.
…And I think I’ll go with James’s theory. I would like to think that Alfred regularly activates alternate dimension technology with a lever.
March 30, 2011 at 12:30 pm
Definitely not my cup of tea. If you dropped everyone except for Mike and yourself, it would probably be much funnier.
March 30, 2011 at 12:36 pm
James, this was great. different than your usual stuff but i feel like it’s a great direction to go towards. I’ve been a long-time fan and was prompted to make an account and comment on this after seeing so many negative-type comments. This show is called over analyzers for a reason! Loving it so far, waiting for more episodes š
March 30, 2011 at 12:40 pm
@Illistic
Not only is that review useless and pointless, its just down right uncalled for. If you actually think your entitled to AVGN you’re an idiot. James wants to do other things and he has that right, dont whine and say he’s only allowed to do AVGN, thats just childish.
March 30, 2011 at 12:43 pm
It’s not that I’m against the show. It’s a great concept. James and Mike have a definite chemistry that you can see in a lot of the outtake videos. These other characters, aside from being uninteresting, seem to get in the way of the chemistry. Too many characters is my only complaint.
March 30, 2011 at 12:58 pm
Awesome first episode! While James and Mike seem to dominate the conversation a little, I have a feeling the group chemistry will get better after a few episodes.
Oh, and the alternate reality argument sounds totally reasonable to me. That shit is canon as far as I’m concerned.
March 30, 2011 at 1:03 pm
It was really enjoyable, even for me, who hasn’t seen one episode of the 1966 Batman show.
March 30, 2011 at 1:06 pm
Well since everybody is putting their thoughts in the box, Guess I might as well. Just in case they actually go through these.
I agree with most of these comments, it has the potential and all that. It also has the problem that while James & Mike have a lot of harmony between themselves, all the others are having a hard time trying to keep up with them. So instead of just shooting them off a cannon, I would suggest giving them a little bit more of room. Mike simply expanded his presence like an ideal gas through the room, leaving very little room for the others. Which is understandable – They’d much rather have Mike say something at all than interrupt him and say something which isn’t as good.
I’d also suggest doing some real improv training by doing some exercises, even in front of public to put more pressure and make a person draw out all that he can. I suggest things like having a battle of questions-only arguments (no answers are allowed) or giving examples for strange things (Like 4 of them are on stage, quiet, and a 5th one draws from a box something like “Worst way to eat an icecream”, “Most awkward sentence one can say at a funeral” etc)… All of these should be done with a comedic feeling to it.
I have more ideas, but I am sure they all can find such exercises on the internet or in TV shows.
March 30, 2011 at 1:08 pm
The accent is not Russian. It’s Hungarian, and that’s her real family heritage. Just throwing that out there.
Anyway, I never thought of the length of the poles. Maybe the batcave is in the center of the Earth. In that case, they’d have plenty of time to change on their way down, but wait, that may be a little difficult while clutching the poles.
March 30, 2011 at 1:12 pm
For the guy that left the really long comment…Batman and Robin’s magical outfit change IS bullshit.
I loved this. While it’s not like AVGN, I didn’t care, because I wasn’t expecting AVGN. I know that James isn’t a one dimensional person. In fact, I know that he’s more of a movie person than he is a video game person. I enjoyed this because there are lots of weird things out there that people wonder about but sometimes never take the time to really think about it, but when they do it can be really entertaining. I’m sure this is going to be a great series.
March 30, 2011 at 1:14 pm
I’m inclined to agree with the majority of comments here. The concept is great, and there are some truly funny moments. But it really does seem like James, Mike, and the rest. That might be because we all know and love James & Mike, and we aren’t familiar with the others though. We need to see their character more. That said; I mean their REAL character. Their own humour. The Russian accent does seem like an attempt at giving an extra kick of character, but it’s far too forced, especially within a show that’s based somewhat in improv’. You can’t take it as off-the-bat-banter with a forced accent. Maybe re-think? Make a similar show with simply yourself and Mike?
March 30, 2011 at 1:15 pm
haha hey james what if batman and robin were wearing the outfits underneath there suits? and same thing with their outfits and the suits being underneath and they make sure that they always have a outfit underneath for the pole transformation?
March 30, 2011 at 1:16 pm
Oh Hungarian*. Just read that. My apologies.
March 30, 2011 at 1:19 pm
loved it, if mike and james are together comic gold. i think that miki and james should have a show together on this website. and loved this hope for more. but james and mike dominated. the others should add more to the convo š
also i know i say this alot. but the movie should have death chirst in it. just saying :3
March 30, 2011 at 1:20 pm
I like the concept very much. The video was great, but I kinda felt like it was a little forced. I’ve had covnersations like this with a few friends, and the discussion in the video didn’t quite flow like a “real” conversation. That being said, though, I enjoyed listening to the different points, and there were moments when my wife came in the room to tell me to shut up because I was laughing too loud.
All in all, I enjoyed the video and am looking forward to more. I’m sure as the group got into the swing of things (James said they filmed several episodes back-to-back) it became more easygoing and natural feeling.
Great job, everyone! Can’t wait to see what comes next!
March 30, 2011 at 1:21 pm
The episode felt kinda short. It might just be me though. I’m sure it took a lot of time to plan this, film it and edit and all. It would be interesting to see an episode go a little longer. You guys would probably end up thinking waaaaaaaaayyyyyy too deep into the topic, but from what I understand, that’s kinda the point, right š
March 30, 2011 at 1:24 pm
Steven Hawking isn’t missing.
March 30, 2011 at 1:28 pm
I agree with spencer.
This episode was golden all except for her fake accent.
March 30, 2011 at 1:30 pm
Is Susie not the same lady who interviewed James in the Overanalyzers preview video? I’m guessing not, because if it was the accent is a joke. lol
I thought this was entertaining. James and Matt do a great job as usual. The others agree were having a time keeping up with James and Matt but honestly I don’t know if it’s just me, but Susie really had nothing to add to the conversation other than making annoying comments or stupid jokes like “you want to see the batman naked?” Come on give me a break.
March 30, 2011 at 1:31 pm
Sorry.. Mike not Matt. Can’t edit posts. š
March 30, 2011 at 1:35 pm
Mike would totally have been a great “youtube” celebrity if he got started on the NES glitches stuff 4-5 years ago. He’s got a perfect radio/podcast/discussion personality and it doesn’t feel scripted whatsoever.
The music and the introduction is classic, hope it doesn’t change. Heard James say a few “man” phrases a la Mark Borchardt… not sure if intentional or not.
The OverAnalyzers preview vid from a few days ago said this isn’t 100% improv, so hopefully all 5 characters get fleshed out more with their own personality. Good start so far though!
March 30, 2011 at 1:35 pm
I know what comes after that — Little Fuckin’ Red Hood! (Not to be confused.)
March 30, 2011 at 1:36 pm
Sry but i don’t like that new show at all! Filmed discussion on geek’s subjects is not entertaining or interesting. I mean anyone can do this!
I really enjoy AVGN and all related stuff but when you start to fill the holes between the episodes with almost anything you get your hands on… I mean if you don’t have quality stuff, you don’t need to replace it by not-so good whaterever you get your hands on. Still great work on everything else!
March 30, 2011 at 1:36 pm
Liked it a lot š Can’t wait to see more. In the show, are you like a sort of business-team or club? I didn’t get that part.
March 30, 2011 at 1:38 pm
next lis little red hood
March 30, 2011 at 1:45 pm
WHAT DO YOU DO WITH AN ACCENT THAT DOESN’T FIT THE BILL?: Maybe for a gag you can pass the eastern euro accent around the table until it’s gone. Or in the next one, everyone has the accent, except for Stephanie.
At first, I thought OverAnalyzers was going to be about people in a bar with glow stick necklaces on. Is that some speed-dating in a bar type thing?
Oh well,
Thanks for the video James and crew!
And F U to all the haters, This was enjoyable and creative.
March 30, 2011 at 1:50 pm
LOVED IT! Only thing I can say is the fake accent is a bit awkward. Actually incredibly awkward. Everything was great though really enjoyed it! I DEMAND MORE!
March 30, 2011 at 1:53 pm
Some pretty despicable comments wanting you to eliminate people from the show based on viewing one episode. Reminds me of the comic book guy from the Simpsons.
March 30, 2011 at 1:59 pm
defenetly worth the wait.
March 30, 2011 at 2:09 pm
Matt & Lee weren’t very funny. Susie was okay, but her fake accent was annoying. Still enjoyable though.
March 30, 2011 at 2:11 pm
good starting show. now all i have to say is… superman 2’s cellophane S
March 30, 2011 at 2:14 pm
YES!!! MORE American Movie references!!!
March 30, 2011 at 2:14 pm
Maybe they change like the power rangers you know when just the parts come flying at them.
March 30, 2011 at 2:15 pm
heyyy what’s up with the 666 number on the paper that’s on the wall?!
March 30, 2011 at 2:16 pm
If their suits really are essentially 1 piece that they can just slide into midway down the poles then how do they go to the toilet in them? They seem to have their underpants on the outside as well (a la Superman) which can’t help. Either the suits have some very well hidden hatches for comfort breaks or they have some weird septic tanks built in (and also well hidden).
As to how they get dressed so quickly: the main characters in Final Fantasy X-2 can swap in and out of clothes almost instantaneously by using ‘dress-spheres.’ Maybe Bruce and Dick have that working for them like Yuna, Rikku and Paine do.
Just some thoughts…
March 30, 2011 at 2:20 pm
“I’m sorry for erasing that man.” You know James is involved when there is an American Movie reference within the first two minutes.
March 30, 2011 at 2:20 pm
i like it. some funny parts. i think its a little awkward but its the first one.
March 30, 2011 at 2:25 pm
Great Idea but I have a few gripes.
1. It was awkward, I’ll chalk this up to being the first episode.
2. The woman’s accent was not enjoyable.
3. Something was up with the audio for the fellow with the darker hair (he was wearing red)
Besides those few issues I think it has potential.

i am all for this. none of it really felt awkward to me at all; 100% enjoyable. well done. besides, i am always completely behind anything featuring Mike.
March 30, 2011 at 2:33 pm

A rousing success!
March 30, 2011 at 2:42 pm
I don’t know what comes after “Little Red Riding Robin Hood”!!!!
TELL ME PLEASE! I’m DYING HERE!!!
March 30, 2011 at 2:43 pm
That was great, the only complaint is the fake Russian accent was reeeally annoying.
March 30, 2011 at 2:48 pm
I’m just about to watch this, but first exciting overanalyzers episode talking about my fav superhero Batman ? damn i’m excited
March 30, 2011 at 2:50 pm
it’s a syste of intelligent hands that take the cloths off, and puts new ones on, and who saids there cant be a plat form that they goto change, ill draw you a diagram.
March 30, 2011 at 3:01 pm
Ahahahah the end is amazing ! i also loved James comment on the whole Shakespear thing
as for the whole topic, i just think that yeah, there must be a room in the middle, so they can both change their clothes at the same time but not together, and then still be on their way, kinda .. i guess, aaah whatever
March 30, 2011 at 3:02 pm
Ok, Couple things:
1.) Where are the outtakes? Because I refuse to believe that these five people sat around and talked about the girth of Batman and Robin’s poles as well as their ability to slide up and down each others poles without so much as an f’n smirk?!
2.) In Soviet Russia, accent talks you………not so much.
3.) It seemed a little tense at times, but that I imagine will subside once the show really grows into whatever the hell it’s supposed to be.
On those notes, once everyone loosens up, it should be pretty cool.
Looking forward to more.
March 30, 2011 at 3:05 pm
I liked this. I’m interested in seeing more!
March 30, 2011 at 3:09 pm
good start but needs more bull shit comments like the robin timeline thing
March 30, 2011 at 3:09 pm
Awesome first episode–I can really relate to this haha me and my friends have discussions exactly like this all the time. Can’t wait to see more!
And as some have pointed out–you guys forgot about the “Instant Costume Change” lever that ONLY appeared in the feature film–like what was that thing all about?
March 30, 2011 at 3:11 pm
But also yeah, I will agree, the fake Russian accent was really obvious and annoying.
March 30, 2011 at 3:12 pm
This is really awesome, can’t wait to see more episodes!
March 30, 2011 at 3:15 pm
Interesting. It reminds me of Family GUy when they talk about irrelevant stuff. That’s funny to me. That woman’s accent–is that how she really talks or is it a conceit?
March 30, 2011 at 3:25 pm
not gonna watch this particular show again. wow, that was really phoned in and forced.
i’m sticking to your avgn and movie reviews.
March 30, 2011 at 3:30 pm
A lot of people are saying real mean things. I thought all of it was great.

Hi James,
nice idea, a few thoughs:
Susie is not so… well, dialect can be fun or ok to hear, in her case its the hole package thats kind of awkward š Although i liked the part where here head rests on her fist and she seems to sleep.
Would be very cool if the ideas you guys through out would be supported with some crazy pictures, like simple paintings you draw to the special idea and cut in while the people are talking about it.
Also theres some kind of speed missing.. hard to explain.
Anyway its fun keep on!
March 30, 2011 at 3:32 pm
hahahahaha i love mike!!xD
March 30, 2011 at 3:32 pm
this blows away all james’ side projects in everyway but the girls terrible accent is confusing and really annoying. I know its meant for contrast to have a serious person on the panel but she can be serious with her natural accent and still be effective.
And no one else contributed besides mike and jim and the two guys seemed really nervous and sort of awkward but I know its only the first episode and everything will get worked out if this series continues.
I was also really impressed with mike, he seemed to really enjoy this project and actually carried them whole episode and was pretty funny.
March 30, 2011 at 3:33 pm
Can’t say that i liked it… You were overanalysing an unimportant, pointless topic, that doesn’t need to be analysed. It’d be far more interesting if you were discussing and overanalysing a topic that matters, like a social habit or something….
Expecting this,i see that most of time, only mike and james were talking, and i really don’t like the pressence of that girl. Sorry for my bad english, i’d really like to see more work on the AVGN concept than this.
March 30, 2011 at 3:40 pm
There always has to be some stupid bitch that just runes it its really just james and mike carrying it
March 30, 2011 at 3:48 pm
I, honest to God, LOVED IT!
This is something completely different from anything I’ve seen so far on the interwebs and I laughed my ass off a couple of times…
congratulations James, Mike, and all the others!
March 30, 2011 at 3:48 pm
Loved it, simple but still fun. Just a bunch of guys shootin the shit and talking about the ridiculous stuff that happens in pop culture.
Great as always, keep up the good work.
Also stop hating on the Russian accent guys. Geez
March 30, 2011 at 3:48 pm
———————–
I would rate it 3/5

The show was okay… but as long as it sticks to more real, and what i mean is to be not as acted out. In other words. I really think James needs to ensure he has time to do both this show and keep it going and his regular reviews, there are still many shitty games to review, but i assume he just does them based on request and i know reviews are probably not easy to make sometimes but i like when its just james and that guitar guy.
March 30, 2011 at 3:49 pm
@desolatorXT
Wow, you completely missed the point of this one. Of course they’re analyzing something completely irrelevant and stupid. That’s why it’s funny!
I mean, I could appreciate analysis on something more substantial, but that’s not what this show was created for.
March 30, 2011 at 3:50 pm
Fuck what everyone says, i had to stop the video to say how awesome suise is and her accent is
March 30, 2011 at 3:51 pm
Why wasn’t this brought up? How do Batman and Robin switch poles mid slide? When going down Bruce goes on the right, Dick on the left, but when they come out as Batman and Robin they’re on opposite sides.
March 30, 2011 at 3:51 pm
The show does seem a little forced. But I did laugh really hard a couple of times. The topic may be irrelevant to some, but very relevant to me. I always wondered what happened on the way down that pole and was surprised to hear that Mike and I have the same theory with the hidden dressing room……
I don’t like to criticize too much because I did like the show, but it would feel more natural if it was just people as themselves sitting around, slightly inebriated talking about all this weird stuff. In other words, just toss the script…..this is the kinda stuff that needs spontaneity.
March 30, 2011 at 3:53 pm
HAHA that was great…I was liking the alternate dimensions idea…but then it begs the question: if it really IS an alternate dimension, what if Bruce Wayne and Batman are mutually exclusive entities and neither have anything to do with each other?!?! Now there’s an interesting theory!
March 30, 2011 at 3:59 pm
@BernietheShredder
Lol, what if between Bruce Wayne accessing the pole at the top and then, when we see batman, the camera’s filming a completely different dimension. In other words, there is no batman in the first dimension, it’s just Bruce Wayne running around dressed as himself fighting crime and in the other dimension, Bruce Wayne is always dressed as Batman, thus eliminating the need for a change of costume in either dimension……hmmmmmmm
March 30, 2011 at 4:01 pm
Hahaha! Terrific beginning to a great series James!
March 30, 2011 at 4:02 pm
Did he mean little red hood at the end?
March 30, 2011 at 4:05 pm
In all honesty, the awesome preview video that was previously posted along with the really cool title card, I think sort of over-hyped this very mediocre first episode.
There needs to be more scene breaks with clips and/or visualizations of the suggestions made by the analyzers. I found myself getting bored when the talking went on too long.
Also, maybe I am just spoiled by the awesomeness of Mike and James, but whenever any of the other three were talking, I found myself simply wishing that it was a 1 on 1 conversation between Mike and James, like we see in some of the Board James episodes.
March 30, 2011 at 4:06 pm
I liked it. Started pretty awkward and seemed more like the pre-meeting of an idea formulating. It picked up when James started going on about the alternate dimension idea. This might be down to the half-improv half-forethought thing going on. The sections that felt really improv were like wandering into a brain storming session you missed the beginning of.
Also, quite surprised hardly anyone realised that was her real accent. I like this Euro-flavour going on.
The other two guys (i.e. not Mike and James) didn’t get why they were there really. Perhaps first episode nerves. Actually thought the non-bearded one was about to melt away. Not because he was boring or anything, he just looks slightly ill.
March 30, 2011 at 4:08 pm
As others have said, we know they don’t take a break because the movie has an “instant costume change lever”.
My guess is that there is a series of mechanical hooks that take their clothes off and put them on. It’s all precision guided; some of them are moving down faster than Bruce and Dick’s falling speeds in order to place\take items with a downwards motion.
I don’t know if the batcave’s depth was ever brought up in the tv series, but I’m going to say it was a long way down, giving the hooks the 20-30 seconds they need to do their work.
March 30, 2011 at 4:10 pm
James…
To little visual, To long for such a trivial subject.
More animation or drawings or such, and probably shorter but precise videos. Maybe like everyone gets a turn on what they think and then gets to talk about it.
