I saw you were doing a commentary on White Zombie so I spooled it up on Netflix to catch up. To my horror, you are doing a play-by-play, full length, commentary – I HAVE TO WATCH THIS PIECE OF BUFFALO DIARRHEA AGAIN!!!!
I heard that part where you were talking about remaking White Zombie. You should remake White Zombie. You got the gear to make it, I got some source material you can reference for Murder Legendre’s power, you can probably get more than plenty of people for a cast.
nice three part video guys. The third part was the best; it was definitely the funniest. Very informative and overall fun to watch. Keep up the good work!
Fantastic 3 parter guys, well done, I really love what you do!
But I love the NERD stuff most.
More gadgety stuf plez
and what about you wanna know whats bullsh£$????
Is it vis the DVD the movie is owned by United Artists becuse or was the movie when it came out relased via United Artists becuse the founder of that is Douglas Fairbanks, Charlie Chaplin, Mary Pickford & D.W. Griffith and i’m pretty sure that they didn’t want anybody to realse a horror movie via there company or i’m I wrong?
Nice commentary. You should try some more. Really nice stuff.
A tip on The Corpse Vanishes. Watch the Mystery Science Theater 3000 version. WAY better to have people making jokes and such.
Please do more of these!! It’s really enjoyable to watch these old movies with some great cometary from you guys. I’ve enjoyed it so much I’m planning on checking out more of Bela Lugosi work.
I really liked to watch this movie whit you guy`s, keep up the good work James and Mike!
and its to bad that i live in Holland for i really would have liked to visit you’re fan day James.
greets and lots of thanks to you guy`s for showing this film!
Hey James I think I get the joke at the end. It’s a pun. “Do you have a match?” Like a match for his pipe and a match as in they are a couple now. I’m not big on this cinemafilm but it’s decent.
Another good commentary from you guys! I’m trying to think what movie you guys should do next. For another public domain film, maybe Night of the Living Dead or any other public domain Bela Lugosi film. Or if you’re planning on more commentaries in the same style as in Dracula, I guess more from Universal or any of the Hammer films.
I think the reason that the witchdoctor’s name is Pierre is because Voodoo is Haitian religion and in Haiti the language they speak is French, and Pierre is a French name. You get the idea.
i hate to ask but my graphics on my lap top r less then stellar and most of your videos glitch up when i watch them do u think u can make an option to change resolution like eon youtube or just post more videos on youtube? i hope this isnt to much to ask cuz i am i very big fan and love your videos thanks
Very good james , i wanted you too know that i have a version without any cuts that arent suposed to be, and its darker, and that bird doesnt cranck like that, in my version its a very smooth eagle like sound, and its in spanish and they call Bela by the name of Murdela, and it has more music, and he faints cuz they traveled alot and when they go by the man that survived voodo they tell him he is looikng sick cuz he hasnt eaten anything.
For some reason, these videos won’t play on my computer (perhaps because I’m outside the U.S.?). Would it be possible to post a download link for the commentary, like you did with your Dracula commentary?
Really cool commentary, guys! Some great information and you’re entertaining to listen to. I love Monster Madness too, but this is great because there is time to really sit back and “hang out” with you guys. I really hope you do some more.
Took me a while to get into these commentaries, thought they were going to be as boring as beige colored boom, but infact they remind me of a DVD commentary only by the masters of boom themselves. Long live the nerd.
Actually, the scene where he’s tossed in the water wouldn’t truly be a flub. As you can tell, he’s both able to scream and also holding onto the big zombie’s forearm, which verifies that he’s no longer frozen from Lugosi’s stare.
Thank you, gentlemen, for the entertainment.
It’s late night Saturday night/Sunday morning and I’m watching an old horror movie… If feels like the return of Monstervision nights I had as a kid, but better since there are friends with me!
That’s funny you mention the thing about the last ten minutes, cause this is precisely the moment i fell asleep, and i was like waking up every 2 seconds, and everytime i woke up, i was wondering ” what the fuck is going on ?”. The ending is really weird and the last line is just epic xD i wonder what it was about, with the 30′s horror films, to have shitty endings. Like in Dracula, i was so pissed off he died in such a pathetic way : oak stake in the heart + moan = The End. What the hell ? It just feels like the movie brutally says ” okay fuck this i quit, no epilogue”.
I was always under the impression that Neil fainted from delirium because of the visions of Madeleine he kept having–that their love was so strong that despite being zombified, she was able to call out for him in her mind, and it was torturing him into a state of total hysteria because he thought she was dead.
awesome commentary guys its just you talked so much about some other things like zombies and all that but i thought you might focuse more on the film after all its a commentary.this is only something very small and i really liked that history part and all that- fantastic

I can’t watch any of these Quicktime vids. It says I need a plug-in but I have the latest version of Quicktime. What the hell else do I need?
February 23, 2011 at 9:01 pm
Maybe it was the hand of Fred Fuchs that grabbed the chick’s arm and broke the spell. Or Boris Karloffice, perhaps.
Either way. Great stuff! I truly hope you guys are gonna do more commentaries on public domain movies like this!
February 23, 2011 at 9:08 pm
I checked the Wikipedia and White Zombie isn’t features in the list of movies that feature Bronson Cave..
February 23, 2011 at 9:58 pm
You would wake up pretty pissed if that was your alarm clock lol
February 23, 2011 at 11:19 pm
Good Job with this. I look forward to more commentaries.
