Damn I love this movie!!! kinda said that MM is slowly comming to an end.
James, I know your not a big fan of the 90′s/00′s horror films so I’m happy to see TCM3 made the list, Im kinda sad that NEAR DARK hasen’t made a MM yet and I’m still holding hope that (2001′s) FRAILTY makes the list it’s an underrated sleeper horror flick if i ever seen one
This one was actually a good movie, Yeah it was not as good as the other two but from the shitfest that James has shown us I have to say this one is the best movie reviewed this year so far, It was really interesting and has a lot of cool moments, the is no gore like James said, but there is a lot of fucked up things going on, a lot of body parts around, the family in this one is better in my opinion than from the second one, I like the characters better, I think James was a little harsh, people should totally give it a chance.
Great Review James, I could listen to you talking about movies for hours, Seriously you have a great voice and a great mind, Keep em coming,
I have watched everything you have done, and always impressed, never disappointed with your videos.
Great way to start the day.
Is getting closer, I really hope we get to see the review of Killer Klowns from outer space.
Also I wish we got a review from trick ‘ treat.
I kinda liked this movie, it was fun in it’s own right. Not as good as the first one or as funnily messed up as the second one, but a whole lot better than the 2003 remake.
Yay, I’m now the annoying person who gets to say 15th, even though it will not serve or change the world in any particular way. We just like doing it.
NICE REVIEW.
Another Great review James. I think you said a while back that you had trouble coming up with good picks for MM because you hit most of the great stuff already. Your review of Transylvania 6-5000 made me think. Why not a whole month of Horror spoof/comedies? Stuff like Killer Tomato films, Student Bodies from 1980, Repossessed from 1990, Abbot and Costello meet ____, etc. Do a tongue in cheek one.
I would love to hear your comments on these films.
hahaha–now I know where you got the song the banjo-playing video game seller is singing in your AVGN video for Texas Chainsaw Massacre the Atari video game. motherrr*fuckerrrr*
No shit, why the hell doesn’t Aragorn get his props for this piece of shit movie? I didn’t even know he was in this one. The earliest movie I ever saw him in was Carlito’s Way. WTF, Nerd? You’re slacking. Nah, just kidding, you’re the man. Keep up the good work.
Weird. I own this on DVD and literally tried to watch it last night, but my DVD player was being a bitch and it kept freezing up.
I’m actually very fond of this movie. I can see what you’re saying about them cutting out some gore, but other than that I think it’s a damn good movie. Light years better that “The Next Generation”.
Yeah…Leatherface is’nt that good I’ve got all of them I still watch this one from time to time though I still say that second one for some odd reason is my favorite it reminds me of going to the old Natco Flea market … its some wierd nostalgia for me truck stops and white trash I love the filth…yes!!!
The actress in that movie is Kate Hodge. She’s hella fine. She was in Rapid Fire, a regular cast member on Silk Stalkings and Renegade. She was great in this movie as well.
Man these are great. Keep ‘em coming James. That lightening bit was hi-larious. And anyone is cool when they have a gun and shout motherfucker! It’s like ACDC man!
You know what’s BUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUULLLSHIT? The MPAA. Seriously, i’m not joking. MPAA is CONSTANTLY inconsistent and hypocritical, just see the documentary This Movie Is Not Yet Rated. Either way, that would make a great YKWBS episode.
James: In the scene where Leatherface keeps typing “F O O D” on the Speak & Spell machine, what he should be spelling, in accordance with the picture, is “F O O L.” (You were close when you said the image was of a clown.)
And Christopher Carrera was right, I think, when he posted that Leatherface’s confusion about the image results from his twisted, cannibal mind: he mistakes humans for food.
Actually James that comment about Saw is untrue, and I am talking about the original. At no point in the film do you ever see the Doctor Cut off his foot. Saw did such a great job that people still think that they saw the foot chopped off. I actually had to see that movie a second time to see that.
Yeah, that movie sucked; and for that matter, so did the second one. You know what sucked more than both of those put together? That’s right, the remake.
¡¡¡¡WTF!!!! with aragorn man viggo fucking mortensen itself in that shity pice of turd hahahaa thats cool , james should do a video about great actors in crapy horror films
What’s your problem with Saw, James? Saw 1 was a great movie, but like Matrix 1, you just have to ignore the sequels. Saw 1 is not a torture movie.
(Although you can watch all Saw movies as long as you skip right to the scenes with John in every time. Seriously, his semi-philosophic background is the only redeeming quality of any of the sequels.)
i cant beleive this is considered obscure I was under the impression that every horror fan has seen this. And that part with the clown i think was a joke about leatherfaces cannibalism but i might be wrong.
i remember catching this one right after dawn odf the dead must of been a Motherfucker marathon with that guy haha but yea around 4:00a.m. caught this one one…well skinamax lol ….cinemax but yea i guess i fall into one of those trash diggers james i love George R. zombie and the craziest of crazy horror stuff …i think leatherface would fall into that catagory anyways ima big fan of all your work so keep it up cant want for the next board james and avgn and this october monster madness has been awsome THANK YOU FOR THE GREAT HOURS OF ENTERTAINMENT please check out my youtube channel sometime http://www.youtube.com/user/craig2dope8387?feature=mhum
I think why leatherface was spelling food for the clown is because hes a cannibal soooo he must have wanted to eat it? i know thats way too much thinking for this shit
I love the Alfredo character. I remember a scene where he’s moving some body parts to a swamp, and he looks at this girl’s head and says, “You remind me of my girl down in Tupelo…..well now you’re going down below”. lol
I wish I had the money to buy alot of these films to see now. Great work James. Surprised a really campy movie hasn’t made it on here yet. Ticks with Seth Green, Ami Dolenz, and Carlton from Fresh Prince. That movie I actually thought was funny but still watchable.
Most sequels are bad or not as good as the first. This looks horrid and you feel bad for the character Leatherface because his name is being drag through shit.
This movie is, to quote James Hetfield. “The thing that should not be” Haha! It realy just shouldn’t be! Actually the review was better than the movie. Kudos to you good sir.
Hey James!! Aside from another fantastic set of reviews from your Monster Madness Special, I just wanted to let you know that I saw you on Encore last night on the show that was titiled, “30 Years of Friday the 13th”. Congrats Man!! I know we all have seen your Friday the 13th on NES review a million times, but to see it during such a celebrated horror event on cable TV was so cool!! You have a lot of followers and more then enough people that tell you how great your work is, so for me to just repeat it doesn’t make much sense so I shall say it in my own words….You are great and your ideas rank up there with some of the real greats, originality, the ability to make us remember and above all the happiness you bring to us all.. Ok so I guess I’m not original, but I’m so happy for you!!
i love cinemassacre come Halloween time… But Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2 wasn’t R rated, TCM2 was released Unrated, similar to the first Evil Dead and Dawn Of The Dead since it couldn’t get an R Rating.
I wish they could make a Mortal Kombat-esque game starring Leatherface, Freddy Krueger, Jason, Michael Myers, etc. where they all go out killing each other.
I saw this one a few weeks ago. It’s not nearly as great as the first two movies, but still entertaining for its silliness. Unlike TCM 4, which is a complete waste of film.
I would love to choke that fuckin’ bitch in the ad before the review…..but love this review…as it comes from the era of horror that I lived in. Please…more 80′s movies. Would love that!
Actually, it’s a sequel to Part 1, and ignoring Part 2. Notice the brace on his knee? That’s from the chainsaw injury he got when he fell in the first film.
Yes, that IS Viggo Mortensen!
And no, Dawn of the Dead and TCM 2 were both released with an R rating. Dunno where that guy is getting his info from, but there are cuts that are MPAA R-rated, and those were released here in the states.
Actually TCM was not released with an R rating. The film received an X rating and the filmmakers then decided to release the film as unrated. So TCM 2 is actually unrated.
Um actually you are totally wrong. Dawn of the Dead originally received an X rating and was actually released with the X rating. TCM 2 recived an X rating when that happened the filmmakers sent the film out unrated. This is fact. Tober Hooper admits it. Look it up on IMDB or Wikipedia. and you will see.
Hey everyone texas chainsaw massacre 3D is coming in 2012 and trey songz is gonna be in it who wants to see him get cut up say i do cause i don’t even know if he’s gonna get cut up i love to see some blood out of the screen.
Hey James. The reason Leatherface keeps spelling food on the speak and say is because he sees the clown as a person. They eat people. The clown is food. It’s a dumb joke that should have been cut from the film.. Keep up the good work.
James, the problem is that 90′s happened and from then censorship has ruined everything, now SOPA PIPA FBI, every year gets worse.
Only film without censored parts are the ones from a well known director and new guys can never take their time to shine and invent if can hurt censor matters.
It’s just that everybody wants to be so polite and politcally correct that the whole deal it’s just bullshit.
There’s something that i’ve been dying to know. I don’t care who respond to it: What’s the song playing in the background of this review ? It looks awesome ! Please respond quickly.
For the record, TCM 2 was released without a rating. It would’ve received an X rating from the MPAA, too. It was ultimately released unrated to avoid the X. As far as TCM III is concerned, New Line Cinema wanted to turn TCM into a franchise along the lines of Nightmare on Elm Street, Hellraiser, and so on. Since New Line was attempting to go mainstream with the series, they probably required that the movie receive an R rating. Unrated movies were advertised less than movies with a rating, and had more limited releases; not an ideal situation for a movie studio looking to create a franchise. So, the movie was butchered to receive an R.

Had no idea that Aragorn (Viggo Mortensen) Was in a chainsaw massacre movie, thats just awesome!
October 26, 2010 at 4:41 am
I think the joke about the Speak n Spell was that since the family is a bunch of cannibals, Leatherface thinks that anything human is food.
October 26, 2010 at 5:21 am

Now that you did that movie, you must do Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Next Generation, just because Matthew Macoughney and Renee Zellweger are in it.
October 26, 2010 at 9:55 am
How do you not mention Viggo Mortensen?
October 26, 2010 at 11:15 am

October 26, 2010 at 1:24 pm
What was with that lightning at the beginning? Were they trying to make Leatherface into a highlander?
October 26, 2010 at 1:37 pm
A good choice, but I thought for sure Tremors would be next on the review list. Sigh, guess I’ll hope for next year.
October 26, 2010 at 1:37 pm
weird… the video is not paying
October 26, 2010 at 1:45 pm
The actress in that movie is Kate Hodge. She’s hella fine. She was in Rapid Fire, a regular cast member on Silk Stalkings and Renegade. She was great in this movie as well.

October 26, 2010 at 4:10 pm
You know what’s BUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUULLLSHIT? The MPAA. Seriously, i’m not joking. MPAA is CONSTANTLY inconsistent and hypocritical, just see the documentary This Movie Is Not Yet Rated. Either way, that would make a great YKWBS episode.

October 26, 2010 at 4:35 pm
Speared there were 5 blanks. He is supposed to spell C-L-O-W-N but he is a cannibal so he sees FOOD for all people not in his family.
October 26, 2010 at 4:40 pm
Rattrap: Thanks, you’re right. I guess I am at Leatherface’s level in spelling!
October 26, 2010 at 4:42 pm

November 23, 2010 at 6:51 pm
I read somewhere that the reason he kept calling the clown food was because he was a cannibal. It sorta makes sense, I guess.
November 28, 2010 at 11:19 pm
“TCM Sells Out” should have been the subtitle.
December 14, 2010 at 1:27 am

Clown and food. Ah yes, he’s a cannibal. He sees a human being which, to his primitive mind, is food!

If they wanted to throw away the first movies then why put ” The Saw Is Family ” on the bar of the chainsaw when that lines comes from TCM-2
