Throughout the movie, when he gets angry, he sprouts those teeth. They aren’t vampire teeth, they are more showing his anger taking over and action being manifested by the monkey.

Though i have never seen this movie, it looks like it provides an insightful look into the relationships man carries with the animals he has dominion over. Perhaps even making a morality statement about the unconscious Pavlovian rewards we might bestow upon our pets that encourage bad behavior.

I remember wanting to see this movie when it came out, but my father wouldn’t take me because of the content, I was 6 or 7 at the time. I saw it for the first time just a few years ago and now I know I didn’t miss much. The sex scene is weird, she just rides his face, but I guess that’s your only option with a quadriplegic.

The instance of critter biting it by being bitten that immediately came to mind was good ole Chuck Norris in one of the “Missing In Action” flicks (probably 2) where he was being tortured by being hung upside down and having his head tied inside of a sack containing an agitated rat. It’s been over two decades, but that moment is still pretty vivid for me.

Im not one that goes for animalistic..ehh nature horror. Pretty much killer animals or insects or etc. But the first time I saw monkey shines off of fear net, it instantly became a favorite of mine. Don’t get me wrong either, I like critters and revelant. But actual animals isn’t my cup of tea, nor fish, nor prehestoric, nor insects, repitles.

I’m probably one out of 4 people in the world who actually likes Monkey Shines and have a video poster of it. A friend of mine recently said that if you ever tried to describing the plot to anyone you would just continue to sound stupid. “Dude, its awesome! Its about an angry guy who can’t walk right?
