i dont know if you saw this...but i thought it was funny
This is my favorite Zelda because it's so unforgiving and was done as a side scroller. Harder the better as long as the controls are good.
maybe i shouldn't have done that...
it's not glitch gremlin, it's BEN =)
Ganon sounds a lot like Soda Popinski
If I remember correctly, you have to plug the controller into the other port. Doing this, Shadow Link isn't able to follow your movement anymore. But I guess everybody here knows that already ...
i've actually found a glitch in this game where link gets himself stuck in the blocks in the first dungeon. all you need to do is when your in a elevator of link push down up down then up quickly and link will warp to the beginning of the stage and he will be stuck underneath the floor
wow... now I realy want the powerglove :D even tho it realy sucks >:3
apparantly
thats awesome how the powerglove can make you acomplish something usually extremely hard or something others can that you cant...... like that landing in top gun.........
Sorry for doublepost but...
Its kinda dumb how the Nerd is all like "omg, how were u supposed to figure that out?"
The only thing i had LOTS of problems finding, was that hidden town witch he only mentions for 1 seconds.
Waking the spider with the flute was told you in a town.
I think they said something like "The beast with many arms doesn't like music"
And the same thing goes for the spell.
Some NPC said something like "there is something hidden in the east" or "there once was a temple in the east". And well, when you get there, what can you do but "hit the air", "jump around" or "use your spells"?
I still dont get how to "find" the hidden village, last time i played it, i had to read it on the internet, no NPC said anything that you had to use the hammer on some stupid square on the map...
Did ppl rly try to "use" every square on the map and just got lucky? :P
Old Zelda games were much better then the new ones.
It took me like forever to beat the 2 NES and the first Game Boy parts.
Today its all like... every damn NPC tells you what you have to do, and the secrets in the games are either "unavoidable" or just useless.
I beat Twighlight Princess and Skyward Sword SO freaking fast...
Makes me wanna rape the guys at Nintendo for making me pay like 70$ for a game that i beat in less then 20 hours...
I wish the old school Nintendo, or at least Squaresoft were back.
Games mostly suck without them, they are just too freaking easy, as if they were made for 4 year old kids.
And you can only unlock a "non moron mode" by beating the game...
Yea, thats R-E-Tarded...
FUCKING SUCKS!!!!!!!!!1111one
googlejustsucks Zelda went downhill after Majora's Mask. They hold your hand way too much now. I did enjoy Minish Cap but that is the only one since MM that I have had any interest in. What always made zelda awesome was the freedom but it's become more linear as the years have gone by. I always enjoyed beating the early dungeons last in the original and bypassing most of them in ALTTP grabbing an item here or there to help me get through whatever one I was working on.
I'm really sorry to say, I don't like the original Legend of Zelda.
rogerdodger1998 Neither does the current Zelda director. But hey, that's fine, we all got our own tastes. I love the original but I can't stand this one.
rogerdodger1998 I really hope the number in your nick isn't your birth year.
RistoUusimaa
This is my birth year, 1998, but even if i'm a 13 years kids (soon to be 14), i still love the original Legend of Zelda. So whats matter is the taste, not the birth year.
AVGN is so fuckin' badass he beat Dark Link without him even knowing he beat him. Lesson to be learned, stay at the left side of the screen, duck, and spam sword attacks
I learned the cumthrust thanks to Adult Link.
hyperhippy92 Cunt-thrust, not cumthrust.
the glove looks like teleporting fat guy in smosh :D
fuckin nerd and fuckin ads!
fking ad,butgreat epi :)
It's funny that AVGN claims to like the game, because in the video he does a great job explaining why it sucks.
the swastika is actually a symbol used by the hindus be4 the nazis it is supposed to show the movment of life but the nazis took it that swastika is in fact a good swastika
ljngamessuck This is correct. I heard that as well.
I just beat that game for the first time yesterday! being that i dident use the computer for help ya it took a while ...6 years!
@Luzifer I hate the first one the most.
All you need to do against Shadow Link is to kneel down the left corner and patiently stab him till he dies. You can even do it with the power glove... yeah right!
bennieduncan: watch the last few seconds of the vid to see that trick in full glory as he plays with the powerglove. looks like right down b and a not hard but the game sure is jesus!
There was actually a trick to dark link involving staying at the far left of the screen and you could wail on him, forgot exact how it works but I remember dark link was easy as fuck
@Vinnie He probably had Mike behind the couch, or something.
Villarreal: I thought Willow was a great game. sure it had its faults, but i enjoyed the hell out of it.
Got this game for christmas in the late 80s the same year I got my first nintendo. Link, Mario, and Ghosts and Goblins. Played this shit out of this game, but could never conquer the thunderbird.
Revisited it in my adult years and finally took it down. Felt more accomplished kicking that thing's ass than I did obtaining my college degree.
Haha that Power Glove thing, the game was playing itself.. i was all like: AVGN! Turn around! james! Turn around! LOOK AT THE GOD DAMN SCREEN!!! hahahaha! this was one of the best AVGN videos besides the 4 part long Castlevania Marathon, can't you do some more of those with the Handheld ones and the newer ones
Yeah, me to... but a little bit hard to read ;)
I used to love these games as a kid. Didint get through them untill later. But you dont need nintendo power to get through them. I remember watching my dad play these games (zelda 1 & 2) for hours and he beat them, he cant even speak english :D For me the nostalgic value is priceless.
Zelda 2 is one of my fav games of all time. It is hard as fuck but I revisit this game quite often. I have only managed to beat the game once and can't seem to do it again. Loved the video. BTW One guy on here said he was inspired to do Wii games, I'm inspired to do gameboy games so be on the look out on youtube. But no matter how many imitators there are out there, there is only one AVGN and that is you James!
