you actually in the Nerd Persona AT E3? oh, God…………..thats pretty awesome.

YES! Zeldavania! SO AWESOME! Link should fight vamp…….no, Link should BE a Vampire! that would be so…..weird, but also cool!……maybe.

  • June 16, 2010 at 1:16 pm

I heard there’s a remake of GoldenEye 007 for the Wii coming soon! But instead of Pierce Brosnan on the N64, it’s Daniel Craig on the Wii! I don’t know if James has heard of that yet, or is it in any of the E3 booths?

  • Lutshow

    June 16, 2010 at 1:31 pm

I don’t know why, but I think I would have just prefered James Rolfe at the E3, rather than the AVGN.

Doesn’t feel like as natural as the other AVGN reviews. Maybe because of the sophisticated mic.

Anyway, can’t wait for the next episode !

I wonder how giddy you must be that the Nerd cannot blow his top off like a brat. ’cause I really am, just by looking at the Epic Yarn.

try to check dragon quest IX If its there idk if some one know ?

  • June 16, 2010 at 3:06 pm

    James’ Epic Fail

“When did Diddy ever use a jet pack!? I don’t know, the last game I played in the series was Donkey Kong 64.”

That was the last one I played, too. So, I knew that was the first game he actually had the jet pack, seen here at exactly 2:01 ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=du_ue67kQ1U )

  • June 16, 2010 at 3:09 pm

    AVGN wasn’t necessary

it seems people don’t recognize AVGN. weird

  • TheJerk

    June 16, 2010 at 3:23 pm

  • Rasengan999

    June 16, 2010 at 3:54 pm

ya know, until now i had really no idea what E3 was, but now I would say, If it was…”more convenient” I would totally want to go. Plus, like, everyone’s there, everyone from James to half the crew at thatguywiththeglasses.com, like JeWario and AngryJoe. It’s just freakin awesome

  • Trukatos

    June 16, 2010 at 3:57 pm

Since when Diddy Kong uses a jetpack?

The first time I saw him flying around like crazy with his jetpack was in Mario Power Tennis, there he used it as a special ability to save the ball in a hopeless situation.

Later in Smash Bros. Brawl Diddy Kong used the jetpack to save his own life when the enemies smashed him out of stage

    Awesome work James.

  • June 16, 2010 at 5:33 pm

That was really good. I wish I had a Nintendo Wii now. Ah, hopefully by Xmas for me. You seemed to be forcing yourself to be the nerd a little bit there, James. Don’t do that cause idiots here are gonna rip you a new one for that. Just be yourself. Just be James. Hope you’re having fun at E3 and hope to see more videos from E3 soon. Take care and be safe in L.A.!

  • Srceodizno

    June 16, 2010 at 5:58 pm

I totally agree with James when he says that they should make a flatout badass Zelda game where you slice peoples go-nads off that would be soo cool! They should make a sequel to Conquers Bad Fur Day and I’m not counting Live and Reloaded I mean something that makes fun of Halo and Gears of War and other new famous movies and games like the original did.

    June 16, 2010 at 6:10 pm

I appreciate the e3 coverage, but what’s with the dickhead attitude?

  • Dead Planet

    June 16, 2010 at 8:15 pm

You “rally dont think thats possible”.

Why not, they might show some Diablo III stuff.
After all, it is coming out this year, that’s E3, right, games that come out this year.

I like Diablo, I like AVGN. So yeah, I just asked.

And is that the only way you could think of to respond?
Let me react on your level.

    June 16, 2010 at 8:44 pm

Oh my god. Without even seeing the video, the description just blows me away. Donkey Kong Country Returns? Holy shit, I didn’t see that coming. And Zelda Skyward Sword sounds like the epic shit. And it’s nice to see another Kirby game coming our way. Sweet! Nintendo’s really got it on this E3.

So yeah, great work Nerd. I’m watching all the promo videos for these games now, can’t wait to play them myself. Still waiting for your SEGA and Capcom coverages, man!

  • RevolverOcelot007

    June 16, 2010 at 9:31 pm

I believe that the art style they chose for Zelda blends absolutly perfect with the fantastic world of Hyrule. When they go super gritty realistic it should be on a system that supports HD, so lets wait it out until then or else we’re just gonna get an ugly pile of gritty sh*t.

As for Kirby Epic Yarn; does anyone remember how much fun Paper Mario 1 & 2 were? Not to mention Yoshi’s best game is one that was drawn with crayons. Art style seems to never be neglected in Nintendo’s world.

Donkey Kong looks great all by itself, I cant believe they even made it! And who else is super excited for Kid Icarus’s long awaited return!? James should recap to history of Icarus, DK and Kirby for those that aren’t avid gamers. It would be a great video.

  • cloob1

    June 16, 2010 at 9:35 pm

LOL, I had to come back to see this.

But, I was wondering if Mike is with James. It would be awesome to see a couple shots with Mike in there if he is.

  • itscmillertime

    June 16, 2010 at 10:46 pm

I’ve been waiting so long for a donkey kong country 4! I was so disappointed with DK64. You know what was good though, Donkey kong jungle beat! i don’t know if anyone ever played it but it was pure side scrolling awesomeness. And you didn’t even need the bongos! you could just play with the gamecube controller, it wasn’t very difficult but still brought me back. I can’t wait for this, though it is going to be interesting since it’s not being developed by RARE… sad sad

  • fyarball

    June 17, 2010 at 12:06 am

James Rolfe is over-acting as shit but somehow I like it.

I disagree though about Dark Zelda. When they tried that with Twilight Princess it was literally too dark for my TV screen so I couldn’t see or play the game when I got to the first dungeon. I also got the feeling with that one that Nintendo basically thought “Hmm… Everyone loved Ocarina of Time but hated Wind Waker. So let’s bring back some of the shit that was in OOT but not in WW for Twilight Princess like farming and a nagging partner.”

I think I’m done with new games though, I just don’t have the cash to buy them and the patience to enjoy them anymore. I do pop in some retro games once in a while, though I usually don’t play shitty ones.

By the way, I wish somebody would put Kaizo Mario World on a SNES flash cartridge and send it to the Nerd. Seeing him review that would be awesome, but I doubt he’d do it anyways (legality issues and it wasn’t around in the retro age) or be able to survive playing it on a real SNES without savestates.

James! You were litterally ten feet away from me. I was in the Zelda line while you were filming. Hopefully i can bump into you tomorrow if your still at the show!

  • June 17, 2010 at 2:15 am

@ Fyarball: James was not meaning a darker screen. He was meaning a darker style. Like a more violent Zelda. Something closer to a Barbarian feel than a Fairytale feel such as the way Zelda has been the whole time.

  • dannydesktop

    June 17, 2010 at 2:27 am

It doesn’t seem to me james is a big fan of most new games, i wonder what new games he does play.

  • Vicionator

    June 17, 2010 at 2:58 am

cool video james, just wondering if you have tried the 3DS i’m really curious about that console. especially after the announcements of games like:

    Resident evil revelations
Super street fighter 4 3D edition
    Zelda Ocarina of time 3D
Metal gear solid snake eater 3D

    and many others xD

EPIC YARN! AKA EPIC FAIL…Oh, no wait, it looks pretty dang fun.

  • RevolverOcelot007

    June 17, 2010 at 2:55 pm

Does James appreciate new games? Like Mario Galaxy, Wind Waker, Metroid Prime, or even Super Smash? What about Pikmin, does he give a sh*t about Pikmin?

Does he even like other platform games like Little Big Planet or God/Gears of Wars? I wonder what he thinks of games that are completely different like Heavy Rain or Red Dead Redemption.

I love retro games, but I also love the great stuff coming out today.

  • June 17, 2010 at 11:24 pm

Rower, everyone knows the Angry Video Game Nerd as the video game fanatic, not James. James we know as a movie lover, a Board Game reviewers, a Top Ten List Maker, but not the Bullshit Man. So, go fuck yourself. Ya shitload of fuck

People ALWAYS SAY “Nintendo is abandoning its followers and supporters”. I always find that extremely self-centered sounding. We all grew up with nintendo and loved it, and that is because they focused on making games for kids. Why would you assume that they would ever do anything different(like start making games for old farts like you), and why would you want to rob rising generations of the same nintendo fun that we all got? If you truly are a nintendo fan then you would respect nintendo and support them as they make games for kids. Besides, the wii is the perfect nostalgic system, it lets you play all those old games you grew up on. GRRR. Thanks for the cool vid James, always a fan, asshole!

Normally i like a bit more destruction in my games- Fallout 3 rocks! However, Kirby’s just so damn cute, AND he destroys shit! And he’s yarn! How cool- but I don’t WANT to buy a new system just to play that one game! grrrrr…

That new Zelda looks kinda disappointing… It’s probably great though. They all are.

  • Biohazzordz

Kirby games are fun. Some were creative, like bringing back Kirby Super Star Ultra. Canvas Curse was weird, Kirby’s stubby arms just dissapeared. But, Kirby Epic Yarn?! That’s pretty……………odd. Looks fun though, I’d like to try it. If you wanna nostalgic on the go, get Ocarina of Time for the Nintendo 3DS. Hehe, the new Zelda game is a cross between Twilight Princess, Ocarina of Time and Wind Waker. Those games look awesome, I’d at least like to get the new Skyward Sword game.
