@ Strazdas: I misunderstood you. My apologies. If you're dealing in absolutes, no, AVGN is probably not his best work. I prefer not to deal in absolutes, however. It makes it easier to enjoy EVERYTHING James creates. Enjoying yourself should take precedence, I think. It seems to work well for James, and consequently for us, right? :)

@mastershake64: Mike had a rant in the AVGN thread when people started bemoaning the fact that AVGN had to be on the way out, since the guys would be making fewer of them. According to him, the Nerd is NOT being phased out. Which is awesome. We still get the Nerd, AND we get more of the site's other good stuff too!

I do realize that James is a film maker, and he can do whatever HE's interested in. I am grateful of all the things he's done: AVGN obviously, Bullshit bits, definitely monster movie months, movie reviews, board James etc... My last comment may have come of as harsh and impatient, but I just really love Jame's AVGN works, and I'm frustrated like any other AVGN fan would be. I just hope that he continues AVGN.

The insistence that James spend his life doing nothing but AVGN that some people's comments imply IS truly stupid, but that doesn't mean AVGN doesn't have any value besides having made CINEMASSACRE popular.

i appreciated the idea someone in the crew had after James had yelled "blood!.." several times to induce and to bring to its extreme and most absurd point that sort of a literal aspect of the words that James cries out -by suggesting him to cry instead something like: "it feels almost like if someone bit me in my neck!.." or "it feels like i`m dying!.." etc. -enjoyed it so much!..i even would like to see the whole video of the same slasher movie character based on this literal version concept so to say -like the way they make literal versions of the music videos -a whole bunch of them can be found on youtube (like a-ha`s "take on me" and so on)..
by the way, James, why don`t you post your videos on youtube or at some other site where they could be downloaded and played so much faster?! -because every time i try to watch your actual recent videos that are probably being the most watched at the moment here or at the screw attack -it`s a nightmare every single time -i swear!..i meen, yeah, i do seem to understand that you are trying to manage somehow your video distribution policy and to put your videos only where they are somewaht safer from the copyright proof point of view and stuff..but at least such little complements to your work like this onr that you post here time to time -at least that type of video, how do you think, James? -don`t they belong on youtube?..

What's bullshit mastershake is that you expect James to bend over backwards to entertain you. James worked himself to exhaustion doing 2 AVGNs a month (as well as all of his other work that has to be done). He works twice as hard as any other reviewer out there, and doesn't deserve the whiney criticisms that you're always throwing at him. If it sounds like I'm a mindless fanboy who would defend James no matter what he did or didn't do, that's only because I respect him... maybe you might try it (or get yourself a different hobby).

mastershake64...wow, you really mustn't know anything about him. AVGN was and is popular, true, but James' main focus has, and always will be, filmmaking. If you've looked around the site more, you would notice this.

And no, he's not abandoning the AVGN fans, as he hasn't said he's quitting it completely...there will be more of them. Just at a slower pace than usual, as he doesn't want them to get stale. Have some patience. Just because he's not doing them as fast as you'd like him to...does not mean he is abandoning anyone. :P
