Could that be Rick Moranis running by? xD

  • May 18, 2010 at 8:48 am

haha the wind blew his hat off.

  • LunaCatt

    May 18, 2010 at 9:03 am

That german guy is an idiot. /facepalm

It’s “Nicht die Ströme kreuzen!” and -not- “Nicht the Strahlen kreuzen!” I’m not sure if he wasn’t able to recall the german line or if he tried to just translate it on the spot, either way, he didn’t do it right.

So I guess he deserves the spot in the outtakes for the translation/quote fail ;P

  • Newmi

    May 18, 2010 at 9:26 am

    @ LunaCatt
so he quoted it wrong, but he´s a big fan of the movies (as it seems to me), and this is more important.
So don´t call people idiots because they just didn´t say that one line right…

@video: Allways love outtakes. Nice of James to share them with us 😉

What disappointed me about the actual video though is the guy you did it with. He just didn’t seem to care too much.
It shows that you love it and that you are very passionate, for example when you guys reach the fire station… but he’s just like “heh!”. :S

To be honest I thought it brought the video down a little, and I just didn’t find it as interesting as the Rocky Jumped a Park Bench documentary.
Or even the Sleepy Hollow one!

I mean, I think you make it work and so intesresting because you love what you do so much. When you are with others who don’t have the same passion you have, it affects the overall interesting aspect of your videos.

Still, of course, I have to say good job. Lots of work in there no doubt. 🙂

    wise [email protected]!

and by the way ströme and strahlen BOTH is right. its just another word for the same thing (im german)
so dont troll around lunacott…. thats ridiculous.

  • Filmmassacre

    May 18, 2010 at 10:58 am

that was some really funny outtakes
love the girl in the end saying goodbye she was so cute ^^
haha funny when james cap fells off too xD

  • May 18, 2010 at 12:30 pm

Wow so much wind in front of the museum! I wonder if it was the spirits there telling you to go away and not film there. That’s pretty funny!

I knew there would have to be some bloopers for this video. Bloopers are always a nice thing to have at the end of the video.

  • May 18, 2010 at 4:26 pm

    I loved this man!

  • Mattashell

    May 18, 2010 at 5:54 pm

Thanks for the extras, James! Bloopers and cut reels are my favorite stuff. I LOVED the one you posted a while back when you were trying to deliver the “Muck Spread” line!

BTW, everyone check this out. How ironic that this happened RIGHT after James released the Ghostbusters Vid. Hilarious!!

I love this stuff. I live just outside of NYC (on Long Island) and I’ve been to the firehouse and the library, but I never made to all those other places. Manhattan is an awesome place for this kind of thing, there’s so much history. Not to mention the enormous amount of movies that have been filmed there.

Hey James, check out this hobby-Ghostbusters! 😉

  • May 20, 2010 at 3:47 pm

Awesome thing to follow in the foot steps of one of the greatest comedy movies ever made, i wish that i will some day visit new york and maybe see some of the buildings and scenery (spelling?) of the ghostbusters movies.
    Awesome trip and review/documentary James.

    Keep up the good work.

    Cheers from Sweden

Great Stuff James! Did those guys know that you were the “Nerd” when you were at the fire station?

BTW did you see the improv guys that did the Ghostbusters stuff at the NYC library the other day?

  • ShallowNate

    May 20, 2010 at 8:51 pm

you guys were too far to the left of Ray’s bookstore. See the stairs near the green awning in the picture from the movie? his store was to the right of those stairs, and you guys were right in front of them.

  • Luri

    July 19, 2010 at 5:53 am

Haha “Nicht die Strahlen kreuzen”. It was funny to me, because I’m German, to see James interviewing some German guys.

I don’t know, if the knew, he’s the AVGN, because in Germany, James isn’t so well known, like in the US, yet.

Great Videos btw. The Ghostbusters are one of my favorite movies! I love them. My Girlfriend always laughs, when I say this.
