Damn that was great. It was actually somewhat scary. And the the horror came from tension, not from shock effects. Reminded me a lot of Alien. Music, voices and lightning were all there. Yet at the same time it was fucking hilarious and I for one laughed more than I have ever laughed to Scary Movie or any shitty horror-comedy film.

That was amazing! Much better than the previous nerd episodes and for me one of your best alltime. I liked a lot in this short film (I would call it that). Especially the using of lights – which creates a real creepy atmosphere. The scene with that oldschool telephone was also very great. ( Twisting the cable in your hand!!). At all it was one very cool reminiscence to old horror movies especially Childs Play or the Leprechaun movies -and you even had a jump scare in it !

Awesome work, James! Lovely to see how you use classical horror / thriller elements. Like lighting from below and sideways (the evilish / twillight effect), narrowed light from a different room through a door (light portal effect going from good to bad) and focus lighting (Mr. Bucket in the basement).
And the storyline is nice as well (…so typical
). Introduction with funmakling around a “seroius” threat, a main actor researching facts on it and finally meeting the threat, but someone else is its victim… classical!

Excellent episode. Lots of Cinemaphobia and 2006/2007 AVGN vibes from this one. The water splashing scene with the mirror looked VERY familiar for instance.
I wonder how many people will complain this was too long right after complaining Hero Quest was too short.

That was really fun to watch…and I must say that this was one of the creepiest episodes I have seen. the part where the bucket appeared in front of the window really scared me.

Hi everyone this is Jack Red, I just saw this episode and I got to say you guys really come up with some fucked up ideas.
The games I knew before the episodes were Mouse Trap, Crossfire and Mr. Bucket.
I am not sure if I had Crossfire as a kid but I do remember that commercial along with Mouse Trap.
Now Mr. Bucket I used to get toys by that company and I wondered why I never got that.
Well now I know how the fuck could they sell that to kids I mean seriously it’s like they take Elmer from Looney Tunes to entertain kids it isn’t right.

The part after the second phone call was really, I mean REALLY creepy, it was a fucking perfect horror movie job.
And all the details – stopmotion, Mike’s window visible outside was very professional.
I caught the glimpse that the mechanical pert was taken out in the drowning scene – you guys spared that ppor thing ^^

That was awesome. The lighting was great but what was really shocking was the audio. One moment I liked in particular was the panning effect on Mr. buckets voice, it made it seem like he was behind you.

Hated it. no no, just kidding, it was very amusing. The tension building was exceptionally well pulled off, and the camera work was beautiful. I especially liked how you saw Mike in the background on the phone when James was calling him, it was intriguing to see the different styles of cinematography meld together. Almost a Rosemary’s Baby meets Rear Window. I would be interested in knowing how long it took from pre-production to final release. The editing was impressive.
Good work James and Mike, taking a seemingly harmless children’s toy and making it appear terrifying. It would have been funny to see what Mr. Bucket would have done with the balls after having them in his mouth?

Cheesy as fuck, but this was really good for a Board James episode. Legitimately a horror/comedy twist, and after the first couple times you made me actually believe the Mr. Bucket was alive- you know, in my imagination at least.

This was probably the best horror and comedy movie that has come out for a long time. Even thought it was short, it started with comedy, Then it changed to horror, and first time for years, I really almost jumped up from my chair when something scary happened. In the end I didn’t know if I should be laughing or be scared so I did little bit both. The mood was GREAT, none of the horror movies nowadays manage to set that type of mood and feeling for the scenes.
And to think that this was only a boardgame review…
