A remake of Plan 9 from Outer Space is being made by Darkstone Entertainment. Crazy, right? Simply titled “Plan 9″ it will take a serious approach, what Ed Wood was originally trying to do. The camp value of the original could never be intentionally duplicated, so this one is going in a completely different direction. For one thing, the aliens will resurrect more than 3 zombies.
I will be playing the role of the policeman which was played by Conrad Brooks in the original. Conrad is involved in the remake as well. That’ll be fun! They’ve already shot a teaser. So you can give it a watch and keep up with the details at Plan9movie.com

There seems to be another film in production based on Plan 9 from Outer Space.It's called Grave Robbers from Outer Space .
Two new films based on one of the worst films of all time...wow.
Plan 9 however seems more "interesting" and James having a role is a big plus :P.
I am disappointed to see that the zombies in the teaser are the new kind of zombies, the ones that can run! I find the ones that are slower much more frightening in large groups.
Hell, I'll watch the movie just for James. Also, the zombies actually look like zombies. I'm actually stunned. Ed Wood must've had a $2 budget on Plan 9 from Outer Space. It was a horribly good movie. Just weird...

I saw this trailer a while back, and went into the blogtv things with the director and stuff, had an awesome talk with him, i honestly cant wait for this movie.
Like, honesly, ever since you did your ed-wood-a-thon thing, ive fallen in love with his work. its so bad, but so good.

He told us that he's going to be taking a break till at least May. What's so ridiculous about it? That's like hearing your friend say "Yo, I've gotta tie my shoe" and then being surprised when he does it.

From the trailer, it doesn't look too bad. I never seen the orginal so i can't make any comparisons but i will keep an eye out for this one.
