Mega Man X would hate to know that hes ancestors are machines who have no purpose other than OBEYING, considering Mega Man X4 is entirely about the revolution of Robots wanting independence.

I can paraphrase the entire first chapter of Worlds of Power Ninja Gaiden:

Master: Ryu, you are now a ninja.

Ryu: Yaaaaaaaaaaahhhhoooooooooo!

The first chapter was basically this, it was only one page.

I TOTALLY HAVE THIS BOOK!
I also read the Blaster Master and Ninja Gaiden books, even though at that time i had played neither game other than Mega Man 2. I really liked the Blaster Master book, but thought the Ninja Gaiden one was boring.
But i loved the Mega Man 2 book, and i bought it at the "book fair" held in my elementary school's library - do they even do that anymore?

James man, I love you but so far this blows. I love books so it isn't that. This seems to totally lack your personality, which is why YOU ARE THE MAN. I guess far as variety goes it adds a bit but... Nostalgia? Yes. Entertainment? NOOOOOO. Keep to your views and stay true. Write your own, though it would probably suck as much at least their will be swears and afew rollong rocks. Salut Brother

Good thing Megaman went after Metalman first or this would have been a short story. Don't you think Dr. Light should have told Megaman that the metal blades are the only thing that can hurt the other robots before he went into battle? I read the Ninja Gaiden novel when I was about 10 years old. I don't remember much about it but I remember loving it. I'd like to see you read that one real soon.

As awesome as it was normally, the addition of the soundtrack was a really nice touch. It sort of added a mood to the otherwise too bland storytelling, no offense. But it worked, and it was a nice nostalgic touch to really bring back some memories to help visualize what you read.

I picked up Infiltrator for a dollar recently. Cleaned up the cart to play and couldn't believe they produced such a bad game. I picked it up thinking it was a top gun knock off or side-scroller. WRONG! Infiltrator is a first person view of a man staring at his thumbs in front of a "control panel." You start the game and it crashes your helicopter immediately because the controls are so jacked. After you inevitably crash the game calls you an idiot. Also, the graphics are par to a turd baby Atari just crapped out. I wouldn't wish this game on my enemies. This "game" isn't even reviewable for the AVGN. I am amazed that some one saw fit to write a whole story about it. I feel dirty just for having played it. In the words of James "What were they thinking!"

Yeah, I wouldn't mind if he collected me either. I'd sing the AVGN Theme Song until he let me roam around his house and touch his wife... wait, scrap that last part.

Anyway, if you have any more time in the future, James, please do another one of these. I call it what GameInformer called part of theirs (though theirs was just a joke), Super Readplay. Seriously, make it the official title. Like anybody at GI cares...

Oh, and I love how he fucked up in the reading sometimes. He seems less robotic and more human. Yes, I said that completely on purpose. I had it planned through the entire episode.

I used to own this book. I think I bought it at Scholastic book fair. I can't believe he has this. Holy shit, this guy is a collector. Watch out, he'll collect you and keep you in his basement.

I watched these videos some months back and thought I would watch through them again but I got a sudden urge to play Megaman 2 about 5 minutes into this one. I must say though, I had the Blaster Master Worlds of Power book as a kid and I couldn't get enough of it. I would love to get my hands on the other books. I also think you should do readings some of the other books, though I can see it being very time consuming.

i can't find it anymore. there used to be a link to the original post of this that had all the different parts on the same page... it had a link to download the mp3 at the bottom of that page... but now i can't find that page. when i found that page, i saw the link and was like "DUH, i found it" but then realized the link didn't even work... SO I FOUND THE LINK AND COULDN'T DOWNLOAD THE MP3... AND NOW THE LINK TO THE MP3 IS GONE ENTIRELY... :(

This was something different from the rest of the videos, personally I'd like another video series of worlds of power, some of those novels sounds kinda cool (a Simon's Quest novel? nice!). I usually hear audiobooks while I'm doing design work at the office, and this was my audiobook of the day :)

Now commenting on the story itself, what's up with Megaman tranforming into a human? (I have a vague recollection that there was an episode with a similar idea in the old Ruby Spears Megaman cartoon). And Dr. Light didn't give a shit about him being a human and being able to DIE? "You just need to be extra careful" ha.
