Damn I miss this show, one of the best sitcoms ever. I have such fond memories of watching this show too, used to come home from school just about in time for it when it aired here.

I saw this before I got into the show and when I saw number 1 I thought that was the end of the series.

being from germany, i used to watch family matters on german tv a lot in my childhood (the german title translates to "all under one roof" ^^), but i found urkel always annoying, because he had such a silly annoying voice in the german dub. watching his performance in english, i now understand why he has been so outstanding for the American viewers

On June 8, 2010, Warner Home Video released the complete first season of Family Matters on DVD for the very first time.

I actually own every episode on DVD that I bought online from some chinese e-tailer. It's something like 38 dvds but only cost $50! The only annoying part is that the episodes are all the sydicated versions. This means that the theme music may not always be exactly the same as the original (for example, only the 1st episode on the dvds i have features "it's a wonderful world" compared to the first 3 as originally aired). Also, the episodes recorded off ABC family cut out the little bits that often occured during the ending credits. Oh well, at least I have every episode ever!

Man, am I the only person who thought the entire series wasn't funny? Even when Urkel came on, I thought it was pathetic. There's only one Nerd I like, and it isn't this one.

i was at barnes and noble and saw that they have released seasons 1 and 2(those are the ones i saw their) of family matters.

I love Family Matters, and still watch it from time to time on Nick at Nite. Although I do have to say that I like Perfect Strangers better :) Nothing was better than Balki and Larry's slapstick humor
