I reviewed the 2010 Wolfman remake for my local Maine newspaper and I felt it ode more to this film than the 1941 original right down to the London footchase in the middle! I bet John Landis might’ve seen it and think that they might’ve ripped him off!
I suggest watching a British movie called Dog Soldiers. It’s not so much a horror film as a comedy horror spoof like the Shaun of the Dead but it’s really awesome.
lol @ the shower shagging part. and it’s weird that john landis directred this. didn’t he go on to direct “Coming to America” the flick with Eddie Murphy? anyway, it’s an alright movie, not my personal favorite…
I love the transformation scene in this movie and the only thing that i’ve seen that comes close to its makeup effects is a british series called “Being Human” where three people share a flat (apartment) A vampire,A ghost and A werewolf, with them dealing about trying to live life in the supernatural world and having to go about the normal mundane situations.
This is one of my top 10 movies. I saw it with my future husband when it first came out I remember An American Werewolf in Paris. That movie pissed me off.
I also love this review, I don’t know why but I love it whenever you get to say “Wolf.” I love hearing you say “Werewoof” or “He turns into a woof” x3
I always remember David Naughton (sp?) from the Dr. Pepper commercials lol!
The first time I saw him transform into the werewolf it made my fucking skin crawl. It was one of the most incredible things I’ve ever seen to this day.
“Wolfen”, “The Howling”, and this one are three of the best werewolf films ever!
This is the Best wolf Transformation I have ever seen, well, I get that they didn’t wanted to show the wolf, but that always pissed me off, I wish they could have show the werewolf a little more, Great movie, very sad ending,
I’ve been meaning to watch this for a good ages! I got really into werewolf films for a short while and this one looked interesting
and @Cableton My old media studies teacher produced Dog Soldiers! and The Decent! I need to get in touch with him again, he said he could probably get me a small part if he produces another film I’d love to get killed on the big screen xD
I really like this werewolf movie, esta chida (is awsome), but the first werewolf movie I saw was werewolf in paris, can you do a review of it porfa (please). Yes I am Mexican.
This movie was funny in alot of ways! I love how abrupt the shower sex scene is, and how Jack holds up a Mickey mouse toy and says “hi, David!” when he comes to talk to him. Then when as a werewolf, David creeps up an escalator after a victim and the editing cracked me up. And who hasn’t done that kind of random crap in their house?
Agreed, this is one of the best werewolf movies ever…
someone already mentioned “Dog Soldiers”. I second that, the werewolfs are well made there even though its low budget, with several awesome man vs werewolf combat scenes. One guy even goes head-on with his bare fists.. must see !
Its a balanced mix between survival horror, comedy, werewolf and some military stuff to top it off. Check it out…
