Ghostbusters: Xbox 360 review

Hey yo James what's your Xbox 360 name.

That is so bitchin'.

i prefer the wii version, because its more fun to zap stuff with the wii remote, however, the ds version is garbage, stay the fuck away!

No save feature in PS3? Seriously? Either you're doing something wrong or the Xbox360 version came first while the PS3 one got rushed.

As if the first console version often happens to have more effort than the second console version.

Rarely, the PS3 version gets worked on before the Xbox360 one.

But since I don't play any consoles, I really don't give a shit and I find all consoles to be garbage. They're always suckier versions of arcade machines and Desktop computers (Fuck Macs. I rather have either a Linux or a PC).

Computers can do way more than those consoles, now end the pointless console wars. >:(

On the PS3 version, YOU CAN'T SAVE AT ALL! Otherwise, I LOVE to play this game.

good review.. i, like you James, have been frustrated over the years with the lousy Ghostbusters games.. I can't tell you how many times i threw my controller trying to beat Ghostbusters 2 on the NES... But this game pwns all - as important as it was to have the original actors voicing over their characters, i think getting the Elmer Bernstein score from the original movie was just as vital... they could've gotten any composer to churn out a basic score - but the fact that they used his iconic score a lot in the game made it feel much more like you were interacting with a movie, and not a game....

The saved game / "will delete game progress" thing isn't that big of an issue.. i went back to replay certain levels all the time, even when working through the game - it only deletes your progress through a certain level (like what checkpoint you left off at), thats all.... if you go back to play a previous level, and then go back to the level you left off at, it will restart you at the beginning of the level.. if that makes any sense..

i would love you to review more new games, but dont do it nerd style do it movie review style you lay down the good/bad points and ur honest opinon u dont need to go over the top like your nerd reviews just say it from the heart

Hey James, great review. You said sometimes when you're zapping a ghost you can't really tell if you're hitting it. I haven't played this game, and I'm sure that it's a bit frustrating, but I think that was done on purpose.

At 3:13 in this video there's a bit of you zapping slimer in the hotel and it clearly shows how you can't hit him accurately. The reason I say I think it might have been on purpose is because that bit of the video reminded me of the first Ghostbusters film. Remember how they were shooting all over the place in the hotel and the courtroom and couldn't hit the ghosts and destroyed the place? haha...

You could say they made the aim poor on purpose for that reason.

well put i loved that game

I'm playing it at this time, and all I can say is that they did a GREAT JOB! The game is excellent, and I'm a serious gamer. I just mean it's not only the nostalgic effect, the game has goog gameplay ideas, and a great artistic direction. Only problems are purely technichal, like aliasing on the PS3 version...

plus, the saving is manual, and multiple files and even costumes

the wii version lets you replay levels and cutscenes. thought you might like to know.

i assume the saving system is kinda like dead rising except in dead rising the saving is manually performed
