April 27, 2010 at 2:18 pm
I think the fact that all the voices are by the real actors was GREAT!
April 29, 2010 at 5:23 pm
That quote from Rick is fucking crazy. What a line of script to memorize.
May 2, 2010 at 9:50 pm
It really shows how awesome you are when a lot of people want to know your opinion.
May 19, 2010 at 7:28 pm
How’d you do the beginning where you were talking to yourself?
May 22, 2010 at 1:15 pm
i assume the saving system is kinda like dead rising except in dead rising the saving is manually performed
May 23, 2010 at 6:28 am
Wow, this game is awesome, and here’s a message I made using an online cipher machine:
Ez a játék fantasztikus, és én csak szeretnék játszani, amíg a szemem pároljuk a felszínre a sztratoszféra!
This language is so cryptic, it would be easier to find out how to disassemble a guitar, using a can opener, without breaking it. (Unless it’s your first language, of course.)

If normal James made a review for the xbox 360 version, the nerd should do the PC version review… I have 100 bucks that say he will NOT be able to finish it.
June 7, 2010 at 8:40 pm
The computer moniter really DID have the ending screen fro the NES Ghostbusters game.
June 9, 2010 at 7:11 pm
the wii version lets you replay levels and cutscenes. thought you might like to know.
June 9, 2010 at 7:21 pm
plus, the saving is manual, and multiple files and even costumes
June 23, 2010 at 12:33 pm
like i said in a comment on this video on youtube, i personally think the wii versoin is better.

August 13, 2010 at 10:31 pm
reveiw a game on the first game consoles the radar helicopter radar game thing
August 29, 2010 at 1:59 pm
I’m playing it at this time, and all I can say is that they did a GREAT JOB! The game is excellent, and I’m a serious gamer. I just mean it’s not only the nostalgic effect, the game has goog gameplay ideas, and a great artistic direction. Only problems are purely technichal, like aliasing on the PS3 version…
September 8, 2010 at 6:43 pm
well put i loved that game
October 11, 2010 at 10:13 am
friggin awsome James! Im glad you like it as much as I did. Alot of the things you pointed out that you didnt like were the same things I didnt like as well. Good review man! Long Live the Nerd!
January 13, 2011 at 7:25 pm
Hey James, great review. You said sometimes when you’re zapping a ghost you can’t really tell if you’re hitting it. I haven’t played this game, and I’m sure that it’s a bit frustrating, but I think that was done on purpose.
At 3:13 in this video there’s a bit of you zapping slimer in the hotel and it clearly shows how you can’t hit him accurately. The reason I say I think it might have been on purpose is because that bit of the video reminded me of the first Ghostbusters film. Remember how they were shooting all over the place in the hotel and the courtroom and couldn’t hit the ghosts and destroyed the place? haha…
You could say they made the aim poor on purpose for that reason.

i would love you to review more new games, but dont do it nerd style do it movie review style you lay down the good/bad points and ur honest opinon u dont need to go over the top like your nerd reviews just say it from the heart
February 26, 2011 at 5:27 pm
good review.. i, like you James, have been frustrated over the years with the lousy Ghostbusters games.. I can’t tell you how many times i threw my controller trying to beat Ghostbusters 2 on the NES… But this game pwns all – as important as it was to have the original actors voicing over their characters, i think getting the Elmer Bernstein score from the original movie was just as vital… they could’ve gotten any composer to churn out a basic score – but the fact that they used his iconic score a lot in the game made it feel much more like you were interacting with a movie, and not a game….
The saved game / “will delete game progress” thing isn’t that big of an issue.. i went back to replay certain levels all the time, even when working through the game – it only deletes your progress through a certain level (like what checkpoint you left off at), thats all…. if you go back to play a previous level, and then go back to the level you left off at, it will restart you at the beginning of the level.. if that makes any sense..
April 2, 2011 at 12:31 am
On the PS3 version, YOU CAN’T SAVE AT ALL! Otherwise, I LOVE to play this game.
April 17, 2011 at 12:25 pm
This game is GREAT! When can we move in? You gotta try this pole
May 16, 2011 at 3:02 pm
No save feature in PS3? Seriously? Either you’re doing something wrong or the Xbox360 version came first while the PS3 one got rushed.
As if the first console version often happens to have more effort than the second console version.
Rarely, the PS3 version gets worked on before the Xbox360 one.
But since I don’t play any consoles, I really don’t give a shit and I find all consoles to be garbage. They’re always suckier versions of arcade machines and Desktop computers (Fuck Macs. I rather have either a Linux or a PC).
Computers can do way more than those consoles, now end the pointless console wars. >:(
June 11, 2011 at 9:24 am
i prefer the wii version, because its more fun to zap stuff with the wii remote, however, the ds version is garbage, stay the fuck away!
December 18, 2011 at 7:47 pm
That is so bitchin’.
December 24, 2011 at 2:01 pm
Hey yo James what’s your Xbox 360 name.
February 15, 2012 at 8:03 pm
Well I think you might find it very important to know, Ghostbuster 3 is being worked on BUT….Bill Murray is not wanting to do it. So he’ll be recast. I don’t think it’ll be worth it, most likely.
April 9, 2012 at 3:06 pm
there is gonna be a ghost busters III but bill murray is not gonna be in it cause the guy who directed ghost busters 1&2 and groundhogs day he and bill are holding a grudge so thats why bill is not gonna be in
Ghost busters III
September 20, 2012 at 9:23 am
I agree James… this game, although it has some shitty flaws DOES capture the GB spirit.
I think it was quite interesting and the story aspect was indeed good, making you feel a bit like you were watching a new GB movie.
September 20, 2012 at 9:25 am
Yes… Murray and Ramis, who played Eagon and directed Groundhog Day, had a disagreement at the end of Groundhog Day and never worked together again.
I am not sure if Murray and/or Ramis are actually holding a serious grudge against each other, but they are not willing to work together.
That’s a fucking shame. Peter is by far my favorite GB… and that’s because of Murray’s acting too.

January 4, 2013 at 1:58 pm
You’re right James, it has his faults but for the GB fans it’s a great game!

I still need to find that SNES game for “Ghostbusters 2″ before I try the PS2 and PS3 games in the series.

I Loved The Game
January 16, 2014 at 10:43 pm
avgn should do the wii version of this. that game is shit.
January 23, 2014 at 6:52 pm
I remember playing this game. It was great; but there was one stupid moment in the game. You have to slam statues into the gate as they start attacking you.
March 21, 2014 at 7:53 pm
A genuine review with a cameo from the nerd. This is my favourite video here.
