Janes, I notice, in the actual commercial, the lyrics are “You’ll get caught up in the”, but the cover version that you used sings “You can count on the” instead. Oopsie!
Anyway, great episode. You should totally make a Crossfire film. Like build a plot around the game, where it’s a match to the death. The loser goes into oblivion, and the winner gets to give, gets to save a loved one, etc. Maybe something like “The Running Man”.

My brother had this game, and it was the perfect sort of game for us to play (shoot small ball bearings at each other- YES!).
To prevent all out war ensuing every time we played, we had to enforce stringent rules regarding the balls (yes, I said balls). You weren’t allowed to take balls from the board or the other player’s goal, so if you ran out, you were SOL until they fired at you. That might have been in the original rules, but I think those were lost about two seconds after the game was opened.
We both got very good at whacking the gun just right when it jammed. I’m sure it’s a skill I’ll never use again.
