lol wut? the object of the game is to get caught? I had this game growing up, and yup, you called it; I only dicked around with the trap!
You are one hundred percent right: all I ever did was set the trap up to watch it go off. I never once actually played the game because fuck that
I love this game, played if a lot at a friends house when I was a kid. But you're absolutely right, you only played it fr the actual trap. All the other gameplay was secondary. We used to put water in the little cup that the diver dives into, I guess only for kicks but it's a memory that you helped me remembering.
Thanks for bringing up some great memories, James.
Peace and the best of luck with your movie (from sweden) kc
I'm a huge fan of this Board James series. It has inspired me to do a video on the 1995 OverPower card game with Marvel, DC and Image super heroes. If anyone is craving more retro gaming you should check it out. Thanks! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SNZHX1Ua3ZY
@RomEmKing; Tool.
you should make a review of the new version, it is a lot different!!!
a few days ago, my school was hosting this job fair type thing, but for classes that were offered at the facility down the road at the tech center. the advanced physics class had this game set up, and when i saw it i felt like i needed to watch this review again. to further prove that nobody ever wanted to play the game, while the people manning the stand were away for lunch some asshole jock kid decided it would be fun to play with the thing...well the iq of a jock is fairly low so he couldnt figure it out, so youre several steps ahead of him! make more board game reviews, these are great!
God, it took me hours to put this together, and when I did, we only used the trap once or twice, then we disassembled it again. If only it was a pop-up trap or something... XD
Great game, I played this so much a had pieces taped up and glued together.
I loved playing this game as a kid. I think we set up the trap as we played, and we had no idea what the cheese was for. But I always remember everyone taking turns at the end just going around the circle over and over trying to capture eachother. It really took foever with 2 players because of chances of it were slim. Also sometimes the trap would fail a lot, and according to the rules you had to reset it and your mouse got to go free. But that didnt stop me from filling the bucket full of water because i wanted to see him jump into it lol
Oh my god I actually had this one!! Of course, having the attention span of a branedead squirrel, I never even made it through half the game. I just remember setting up the trap and playing around with it to see if I could make it work any other way. We even lost the little green guy and ended up using a Spiderman figure XD
This game's sitting in my closet being untouched after 6 or 7 years. I may wanna take it out just to stare at it and find out which pieces I'm missing.
My neighbor had it but we never even could set the trap as he had lost some parts. So it really was just a big pile of plastic junk.
ps-i left the comment for MR BUCKET here because their were only 10 other comments rather than 825.
I've already seen all the the Board James videos. Mr Bucket was pretty clever. i liked the window part. But what's cooler is the fact that they play on their knees and on the floor rather than a table for more games, so they still have a little kid in them.
You win by being the one to get trapped? That seems counter-intuitive. It would be like a first-person shooter in which the goal is to get shot and die. But the Rube Goldberg nature of the trap is pretty cool.
Best Game Ever!!!!
This was my favorite game as a kid. We always played where you build the trap as you go, but we played if you reach the end before its built you win and if it gets completed the last one to get trapped wins. Guess we played wrong but we never knew. Great episode though can't believe i just found this series.
hey nice idea, makes a changes from all the games xD i know you have to make money to keep on doing reviews, but man, the adverts are annoying, i dunno, maybe im just an irritable person
yeah as a little kid i never bothered with the actual game, me and my brotheer just set up the ttrap and let it go
This was one of my favourite Games when I was a kid.
But yeah - I din't really played it that often cause neither my brother and sister nor my friends and my parens wanted to play this so often.
There even was a Saturday Morning TV Show about his - man this really reminds me of my Childhood - thanks.
Damn, that is one hell of a title card. what a pain in the ass to draw.
Like everybody else, I had that game when I was very young! And like evrybody else, all I wanted to see was the Mouse Trap in action! Same old story man!
I used to love this game, setting of the trap was great. Your right though, could never be bothered with actual game part, just build it and watch that bastard go.
that looks like fun my frend had it but he never wanted to play it
Did you know they made a tiny keychain version? It blew my mind when I saw it and I had to buy one. It actually works just like the regular one
