i saw a video of it someone was playing moon walker besides he's lucky he's got thriller but IGRSRJ does not have it.

Funny they made a game that seems closely resembling a court case he was found innocent from.... Coincidence?!?!....^_^

The Aracade version of Moonwalker, on the other hand, was so awsome!

I actually like this game a lot and I'm a big MJ fan so that helps. There isn't much to the game like the video says and its far from perfect but its fun and that's all the matters.

You could download a ROM of this game and play the songs on an emulator, record it with Stereo Mix in Audacity, and export it as an MP3. That's what I would do, but I'm not sure if the game has a sound test in the options menu

P.S. Since I mentioned them, how about you do yourself a favor and play these two games:

(a) Rayman, on the PSX; and

(b) Ratchet & Clank: Up Your Arsenal

The latter is what I believe to be the worst fucking action game, because the ultimate Easter Egg-the Insomniac Museum-is a total letdown.

Okay, so I've watched your show up to this point, and I have to say that I agree with almost all of your reviews. This one is the only exception. I mean, sure there are some special offensive moves that consume an enormous amount of energy, and the game is redundant, but so is the Ratchet & Clank series (all they do is kill entire legions of enemies). Also, those basic moves-the fairy punch and kick-aren't any different from Rayman's special moves.

I don't want to demoralize you, but there are many half decent to great games on the market that have these exact issues: redundant objectives and equally redundant means of completing them. Although, in the case of Ratchet & Clank, they give you an arsenal that can put a permanent fire inside a million asses.

Also I have to say, Mecha Jackson has got to be the most awesome transformation of any video game, movie, or anything.

I've seen the movie Moonwalker after my sister got the VHS, and she had to watch it over and over and over again until the tape wore out. My favorite parts of the Smooth Criminal segment when I first saw it are the "Transformers" moments.

I own this game and also the Sega Master System version of it and the PC Moonwalker, that's a totally different game and also freezes, so it's a pain in the ass.
The SMS version is graphically and soundly inferior of course, but seem to have fixed some flaws, like the Bubbles thing: after saving the last kid it SHOWS the Mr. Big laughing in a black screen and then it directly brings you to the endurance match.
Also the stages in the same zone look the same, maybe because of the system limitations, but this way it is less cryptic.
Then in the SMS version you have to unlock the hat trow and you can use the dance move only once per stage, but doesn't drain your energy. I never found the shooting star in that version, so I think there isn't.
Another difference is the finishing stage: in the Genesis version you turn to Mecha Jackson automatically for the endurance match, and then there's a first person space flight simulator; in the SMS version you get the regular endurance match and then two Space Invaders style shooters, the first where you are the robot and have to destroy a lots of soldiers, the second where you are the spaceship and have to destroy Mr. Big's cannons on the side of a mountain.
Those ending stages are very very hard, in fact I never beaten the Genesis one (or maybe I did on the emulator, I don't remember, but that doesn't count anyway); but in the SMS version you have unlimited continues, so in the end I beated it, but it took me so long that the music is still pierced in my brain after almost ten years and now I'm afraid it will remain like this forever...

In the video "Black or White" MJ dances the crap out of a car, bust's up a few windows, destroys a hotel sign with his voice while playing in a puddle and tearing off his shirt...and turns into a Panther.

Great vid James. I loved MJ as a kid, my mom was a huge fan. Still is.
Anyways we had a genisis and I played the hell out of this game. Never made it passed the grave yard but we had the one that played thriller. freakin aweomse back then. still frustrateing today

I own a copy w.o Thriller... but I found an online digi-redistrib with it! And if they do remake this, I would buy it in an instant. You would have people buyin' this who don't even like video games! And if it's system exclusive (to the Wii or Kinect) it will force some die-hard fans to buy said system. I know I would.

I Just got this game and i am a big fan of michael and my copy of the game as another part of me instead of thriller that's the only thing that's fucked up about the game, it's still a great game and it was one of the most famous games in the mega drive library i hope they remake this game because there are many fans of MJ around the world and it would be awsome to see michael on a home console once again

I just saw Michael Jackson's This Is It on Blu-Ray and it was a delight to watch. It's sad he's gone before we might ever get to see those concerts, but his musical legacy will last forever!
