uh… okay, that the heck is going on here..
What kind of movies are these..
But i have to agree, Ed Wood Sucks Ass! :(

Here’s my overall impression on these films:

Glen or Glenda – Actually my favorite of Ed Wood’s movies with an interesting story that holds up well for our modern times!

Bride of the Monster – Definitely very low grade and Lugosi’s performance couldn’t save this jumbled mess!

Plan 9 from Outer Space – Very interesting to watch and it is worth watching thanks to Criswell’s narration!

I really liked Glen or Glenda.

I’m only just coming to terms with my own transvesticism but I’m still very much in the closet, and although the film is technically not too good, it really hits home with me. It’s a really scary and turbulent thing to go through and I think thats what he was trying to portray, although some of it comes off as more like a bad acid trip. Belas reactions during the weird musical scenes say it all.

Maybe it doesn’t do a good job getting what it wants to say across to people who aren’t transgender. It certainly isn’t very well put together but it is as James said a very personal film.

I hope you the best of luck in life and acceptance. Ed Wood was a brilliant man that had great opinions and views and a huge reason I love him as a person is he tried his best and did fore fill his dreams to make movies and maybe have help the world and many people deal with being transvestite to be proud of who they are esp when they are not hurting anyone and it makes them happy so you go!

Ed Wood would’ve been brilliant at making comedy films, with all the bad actors and effects, it would’ve given humour to the film for a right reason, too bad he had to go for the serious stuff.
Hey James, I won’t be suprised if you don’t reply but I heard that you’re going to be invloved in the remake of Plan 9 from Outer Space, is this true?

Glen or Glenda: A guy who wears dresses and gets a sex change, weird and creepy.
Bride of the monster:the octopus is fake and the assistant is played by a Swedish wrestler!
Plan 9 from outer space:Ed woods most famous film has some noticeable flaws and the aliens only resurrect 3 zombies, i like your rating.

I have to admit, i never seen any Ed Wood films, but i did like your video.

When James mentioned Plan 9, i thought “I heard of it, but never watched it.” Then it hit me. Destroy All Humans! for the PS2. There’s a section that says “B-Movie” and there was the clip of the military shooting at the UFOs in there. So, I’ve never watched it, only clips. I always thought that clip was fucked up.

It seems to me like Ed Wood made movies around a time when there wasn’t really any standard for making films and just about anybody could write a script and put a movie together. I mean you can do that today, but it has to have something to set it apart from hollywood because of all the money it takes.

You know, we talked about Ed Wood in my Films class, and my teacher actually gave him a lot of credit, and when we made our own movies… i got why Ed wood was such a briallnt mad, even though his films weren’t the most well put together. He loved what he did, it went for it, and told the story, he obviously didn’t care that everything wasn’t perfect, it was all about the story. To him the story was the entire point of the movie, and honestly, his stories are wonderful! Someone *cough cough* James Rolf *cough* give these stories another chance as new movies, and perhaps fix some of the story’s flaws, they could be awesome. I really respect Ed Wood, and why the hell not, he is one of the most talked about film makers ever, he’s Immortal. Ed Wood, Hats off to you!

I love Criswell. At the end of Plan 9, when he says “Can you prove that it didn’t happen?”, I always crack up.

I wathched Plan 9 3 years ago. I just had to watch it fully.

It’s really hard to get a grip on what is going on, but although old, so cheesy, plan bad and lengthy, i didn’t yawn even once Truth be told, it’s entertaining and unpredictable.
And those are two words hardly seen in nowadays filming -or even gaming- industry.
