I've noticed that in his nightmare on elm street review, he says "throwing it out the window isn't creative enough" and what does he do here? Drops a game out the damn window! what a lying son of a bitch (just kidding, I love the Nerd)
Great video, but you should have talked about the good ones too, there were a few nice beat'em ups for the SNES, one of them was really fucking hard, but still enjoyable. The death of superman if i remember.
Stocks? Realy? I remember going to math class once and the teacher has us trading stocks with each other using skittles as money. Being the idiots we were, my class and I got nothing out of it except a chance to eat candy in class.

Did That episode end prematurely? he threw the game out the window then it apeared as if he was going to go into a signature AVGN rant but then it just cutt off.
River City Ransom!
the password part at the end had the word GAY in it
Stocks? STOCKS!?!? NOW THAT IS COMPLEte CRAP!!!
Oh, and didn't the Statue of Liberty on there look like something taken off of Maple Story? I say YES!!!
when i was a kid the only reason why i played this game was because i was amazed how high clark can jump.... jump higher then mario...
Man.... did I ever regret renting that game once for the weekend, I still wonder why the Famicom version had the Superman theme but not that piece of crapola on the NES; at least there were some good Superman games: the Taito arcade game (loved it) and Sunsoft's The Death and Return of Superman (nice Final Fight style game but I can't pick a Superman of my choice). The Nerd should have reviewed the Genesis Superman game from 1993, damn! I really needed my Game Genie to beat that darn game and this wouldmake him flip out too.
I also love Superman. If it wasn't for him, we wouldn't have had the superhero genre.
I played some of the Atari game online a short time ago, and I found it just as confusing as you have, James.
Acording to the select menu, the Roman # 2 powers up Supes super-breath.
I still find that Death Star bit in Simon's Quest baffling.
I recognize the camera shots where we see the Nerd in the Superman episodes where he talks to the viewers. It the same place where he made the response video for the Nostalgia Critic.
To Kamakazi fuck: the ScrewAttack version seem to be cut off in the end because it misses the part where he tells that the next review will be Superman 64.
Wow...they ruined my childhood hero! IT really goes to show they never ever did a good job on any superman game, ever!! So sad...Long Live the Nerd!!
You went on Chao Island(chao.hippotank.com)? LOL
Kamakazi geek, were you watching this on youtube? Sometimes it loads wrong and ends at the middle, or before the intro song even starts or ends. I think they fixed it recently, but you know.
There is an okay game of superman on the NES...It is...Superman 2!! It was unreleased, but if you go on to Virtualnes.com and go to games, it should be in the unreleased games link. ;)
the video just ends halfway through the camera man was being an A-hole :( kidding :) it's a mistake anyone could make even a genius like the nerd :)
the super flight i thought was for excitement :)
at the end it seemed like somthing got cut off
I'm sorry, but who in their right mind would make a game about the stock market and put the title "Superman" on it!!!!
I actually got to the part where you get to fight people. I HAD NOTHING BETTER TO DO THAT WEEKEND! LOL. You think the flying is glitchy? Play the parking lot level.
Not surprised at all by how many requests there were to review this game. I believe in an issue of Nintendo Power they admit to it being their worst game,
I think the message "don't look into the death star, or you will die" may be a reference to Buronson's anime and manga "Hokuto no Ken" (Fist of the North Star); seeing the "death star" or "star of death" in the sky near the Ursa Major constellation was an omen of premature death for many major characters.
