i never really watched star trek, but i really enjoy hearing james’ opinions on things. my favourite part is when spock talks about the dragon and james is like “thanks”, CLASSIC

I love Star Trek, great vid. Strategic Operations Simulator is a good game. “Star Trek 25th Anniversary” could have been a much better game, but you must know damn well that “Star Trek TNG” for the NES is a total piece of shit. Why not include that pile of defecation in your review? Anyways, love how you reference the episode “Arena”. Keep up the good work.

“You want Genesis? You can have Genesis!”
September 25, 2010 at 4:09 pm
I think this is my favorite episode.
October 5, 2010 at 11:27 am

It’s funny that I’m both watching this video and leaving a comment about it at this time. Because right now, I’m wearing my Star Trek gold T-shirt.
I enjoy the techno babbles in this episode. =D
I’ve played the Atari game online no too long ago, and I also find it pretty good for the time.
Man, that Genesis joke is 1,000,000 kinds of hilarious. This is one of the reasons why I’m so happy to be a nerd.
I never thought that an NES game would be so complicates, but Star Trek 25th Anniversary proved that wrong.
This episode is a trek load of fun. One of my favorites.

A+ for awkward fight choreography & editing. Bonus points for running into the wall.
April 8, 2011 at 2:48 pm
I don’t know why,but somehow I always keep coming back to this video… Gonna get me a bag of chips, and watch it again .
April 14, 2011 at 5:50 pm

August 24, 2011 at 12:25 pm
Good thing my cousin forced me to see a movie of star trek, either way i couldnt understand the genesis joke.
September 15, 2011 at 1:14 am
It is interesting to see that every minute of the day, whenever I go and watch one of your videos (which is everyday, watching dozens of replays) there’s at least always one person more watching it.
Keep this up James, I finally took a look at your monster madness videos/reviews and absolutely loved it. The horror genre just got a new fan thanks to you.
I never really got very much into it because of today’s horror movies, which are utter crap, in my opinion. But I will just keep rattling on, so, once more, thanks for everything you do on this website. You’re my idol.
October 23, 2011 at 1:17 pm
what if all the tecno jargon from star trek was real and Gean went home to the future
October 24, 2011 at 12:55 pm
They don’t time travel in “Piece of the Action” That episode involves a planet that adopted 1920’s earth culture. Time travel isn’t involved in any way.
November 5, 2011 at 5:22 am
On the ‘Star Trek: Strategic Operations Simulator’ the Ship clearly isn’t the Enterprise but a Nova-Class starship! It is funny how they evidently planned the entry of Nova years and years before the ship even made its debut in 1999! (and that is George Lucas)
Just Look at it!
Oh and Jymz? Stop saying nasty things like that or I’ll call your mom.
November 24, 2011 at 5:25 pm
George Lucas has nothing to do with Star Trek…..so why would you say that?
December 19, 2011 at 12:43 am
@Staarscommando What he means is they pulled a ‘George Lucas’ by changing something retroactively and claiming they planned it all along. Sort of like how every Zelda game takes place before the last like it was planned when they clearly make it up as they go.
November 5, 2011 at 5:36 am
And by the way… You should have said a one-liner before dematerialising that poor klingon. Now he will never have significant meaning in the history of Star Trek.
January 8, 2012 at 5:17 pm
wow reading the comments for a bit during the ad i didnt get the genesis joke but i got when i saw him say it nice reference 🙂
January 25, 2012 at 11:13 am

February 13, 2012 at 5:24 pm
The reviews are great, really the best, but the staging is boring.
March 4, 2012 at 6:16 pm
You @$$-hole, why would give up genesis?
March 9, 2012 at 8:02 am
March 18, 2012 at 3:23 pm

April 12, 2012 at 11:47 pm
Wow, Strategic Operation Simulator… or SOS, what you will be calling for once you play this game. Damn buzzing noise.
November 17, 2012 at 3:38 pm
The best part was when you fought the Klingon and just jump into the wall for no reason
December 12, 2012 at 4:48 pm
I love the Genesis joke. “Get off the grid.” You should do reviews on the new Star Trek movies?
December 21, 2012 at 3:24 am
I love the Led Zeppelin Symbol reference.
January 20, 2013 at 3:06 am
great review, love the bullshit quote!
February 19, 2013 at 6:12 pm
In Piece of the Action, the Enterprise does NOT go back in time to 1920’s Earth. They go to a planet where a society has been based on a book left behind by a previous landing party.
March 28, 2013 at 10:04 pm
first time commentor on this site. I’ve been watching now for awhile and love it all. I’d like to contribute to the making of the movie, and I don’t mean 5 dollars. Reach out to me so we can talk.
June 11, 2013 at 3:16 am
I love the comment as well mercy this…lol. But I totally laughed at the whole mike and james fight (Klingon fight). Good job guys 🙂
August 31, 2013 at 1:13 am
I just can’t understand with such a great Sci-fi story like Star Trek you would think they could make some great games. I mean come on Star Trek would be a great RPG or action/adventure game. The gaming world needs a GREAT Star Trek game !!
October 23, 2013 at 7:00 pm
Dammit Jim, I’m a strategy game, not a role playing game!!!
Love how you brought in the metrone, t actually looks like the real one
November 6, 2013 at 4:02 pm

April 21, 2014 at 9:36 pm

This is The First Assembly of The Holy Kirk, and the mission of my new nerdy religion is to seek comfort, wisdom, and maybe something about ourselves and our future by spreading the enlightening words of the 79 stories charting the adventures of the star ship Enterprise. All who wish to join my online discussions say “Live Long And Prosper” as a comment. This may be what Trekkies might need to be complete, and be enlightened on the deeper meanings that each episode contains.

Please do,as soon as you can, it helps lot
June 23, 2014 at 4:45 am
The old Vectron brings me back…I remember thinking my friend was so cool because he had one! You should do another Star Trek video and do the Genesis and SNES ones. I’m sure they’re shitty too and you haven’t done enough Genesis and SNES games.
July 10, 2014 at 2:40 am
Dude, there’s three tiles you have to memorize… are you a goldfish?
October 20, 2014 at 3:15 am
There was no time travel in A Piece of the Action. It didn’t take place on Earth.
February 28, 2015 at 4:48 am
anyone play the weird “Visual Star Trek” game for DOS back in the early 90s? Lots of fun. Downloaded it from some random dial-up BBS.
May 2, 2015 at 2:34 pm
Rest in peace leonord nimoy live long and prosper.
December 13, 2015 at 2:47 am
I wanted this game to be so much better … Sega Genesis had A great RPG space game in Starflight.
It makes no sense that in the early to mid 90’s NES and SNES couldn’t get a super awesome Star Trek RPG style game?
