I had this game and played a ton as a kid, and it was as awful as you say (if not worse). I don't think I ever got past the third level, which means I only ever got Dorothy and the Scarecrow. :\ Stupid freaking game.

I even laughed at the intro. The kid that sang: "He's the angry Atari Sega nerd" mispronounced "Angry," "Atari," "Sega," and "Nerd." On top of that, the episode itself is hilarious.

I know of movie based games, but never one that was released over 50 years after the film was released. Also, I agree how much of a crap load of screw that game is.
