I used to have this game, and back in the day i was a hardcore fighting genre geek. My friend and i were always playing each other, in every game, I remember when we got this game, that the controls were so stiff and unresponsive, but we didnt give a shit, we both played it and accually got good. I used to use the guy with 2 swords, and he played the cat girl. and i remember one night we had a sleep over and we played this shit all night, Back then we didnt care if it was a bad game, it was a game to be conquered, and we mastered it, even though it was shit.

When I first seen the title of this video game, I thought there must've been some kind of mistake. I mean, Shaq-fu? I've heard of some strange titles before (Irritating Stick), but the title of this game itself is enough to scare a video gamer away (unless you're a Shaq fan). Out of curiosity sakes, I tried playing this game and the controls are worst than the concept itself.The only way to understand is to play the game yourself..... If you don't care about your sanity that is.

James, I'm sorry, I Idolize you but as a fan I cordially request a redux of this review.

I remember when my older brothers got an SNES when it first came out. I was only 6 or so, and my brothers were probably 13 and 17. I think. Anyways, I have such fond memories of watching my brothers play SNES games and learning all the essential curse words (cocksucker, motherfucker, etc) from them, and seeing the video of young James warms my heart.
Of course, just a few years down the line, when snooping through my older brother's closet, I happened upon the SNES box, which was now filled to the brim with porn magazines.

But it's sad. That old SNES shit the bed, and we had to buy a new one. It came with Donkey Kong Country, which we already had. I loved that purple and grey fucking thing.

I used to take out my Christmas presents and play them before Christmas. Then I'd feel so guilty I'd tell my parents. I was such a cocksucker. Fuck.

I always thought it would be funny to hear the Nerds thoughts on Michael Jordan: Chaos in the Windy City for the SNES. It's a strange concept for a game to say the least. It's a weird hybrid of platfomer and basketball. It's really hard to describe if you haven't played it.

This two parter Christmas special is one of the very best episodes in here.. It all fits together and the variate of games is great.

one of my top favorite episodes from him. the only good thing missing from it was kyle's traditional nerd chirstmas song. one thing I do hope for though is that the old nerd makes another appearance in a future episode, he really stole the show for me.

I know Shaq starred in some crappy movies, those of which the Nostalgia Critic already reviewed, but I never thought that he was also in a crappy video game. Also, the web site James mentioned is still up and running.

I'm shocked that games like Shaq fu were even allowed to be created. I grew up during the time when the Playstation and N64 were popular, and I don't remember shit like this ever being released. Then again there was superman 64.

@Dancovich: Yes, the music. It doesn't sound as it was intended by Tommy Tallarico. Check out Sega CD version - its music sound closer (much closer) to Genesis version.
You need other examples - okay. Flashback on SNES is just ass! It's so freaking slow, it's unplayable. Rock'n'Roll Racing on Genesis has more levels. The same with The Lost Vikings. Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3's SNES version is inferior in almost every way. The same with Demolition Man.

There's a Battletoads poster in the suspenseful scene @ 4:50 XD. The Old AVGN was very well done, made me lolz. While I did understand the importance for the ending from a continuity perspective it still confused me.

Giving one example doesn't make a statement true. EWJ for SNES lacked one level (probably because Nintendo coudn't stand a game where you're inside a body) and some slowdown, but it hardly had bad controls, and MUSIC? come on, the music on the SNES version was awesome and in my opinion better than the Genesis version.

Don't get me wrong, I like Genesis as much as I like SNES, but you can't say Super Mario World and SMW2 had bad controls, or Street Fighter 2 (any version of it), or Final Fight, or Contra 3, or Zelda... you get the idea.

Good graphics don't make a good game, but it doesn't make a bad one either. Both Genesis and SNES had very good games and very crappy ones too.

Hey-hey-hey! Actually, SNES games were mostly superior only in terms of graphics, sometimes sound, but gameplay was better on the Genesis. Prime example - Earthworm Jim. SNES version has some impressive graphics, but has bad controls, slowdowns, bad music and also this version lacks an entire level - "Intestinal Distress".
