I was able to see it last December on a family channel and it was definitely like nothing I’ve ever seen! Fortunately, the great riffers on MST3K made it all better!
Actually Santa is a funny character, he has been subject of parodies such as Bad Santa, Nightmare Before Christmas, or the Tim Allen series, but I really wonder why didn’t they make more movies like this.
“Santa Claus annihilates the Bloody Vampires”
“Santa Claus and the zombie revolution”
“Santa Claus versus Jason”
“Santa Claus battles the radioactive mummy”
…
For pure weirdness and camp value I’d much rather see Robinson Crusoe on Mars (1964) which rips off special effects from The War of the Worlds (1953) — both were directed by Byron Haskin.
According to fandango this has been rated the worst holiday movie of all time beating out Holiday Classics such as Jingle all the way and Silent night Deadly night for the victory
I found this one day on some cheap DVD with the movie “Santa Claus” and this really crappy animated thing called “Santa Claus and the Three Bears”, which would fade in and out of view and had an ending that basically said “Santa’s not real! Suck it up!”. All of these movies from the 60′s on this DVD for $7.00!
