BubbaHo Tep, now that is a movie that a friend kept telling me about. I had forgotten all about it till now. Now its like ok I know I gotta watch this. Two reasons, the review for it looked good and Bruce Campbell is in it.

Love Bruce Campbell. Love Don Coscarelli. Didn’t love this film. Not bad, but average at best.

This movie is fairly low key for most of it and people expecting Bruce’s usual action level, pratfalls, smashing through a windshield, won’t find it
It is a great movie and the ending… well, I almost had tears in my eyes.
Bruce really deserves a real, Oscar potential acting job.

Oh man… I remember the first time I saw this movie. I was so disappointed because I was expecting a bunch of physical comedy from Bruce Campbell. I tried to have an open mind and I watched it again recently and I have a new found respect for the film. It definitely grows on you. As long as you go in with an open mind and not have a bunch of preconceived notions about how the film should or shouldn’t play out, you’ll be entertained.

This doesn’t hold a candle to Elvis fighting thumb stealing aliens.

It is an excellent movie that has both heart and laughs. Bruce did an amazing job. I loved how Elvis and JFK had this crazy camaraderie where they were the only two individuals who could take care of this insane problem. Plus you got to love Elvis’s battle attire. Truly classic.
