i totally agree with you, the classic game consoles did end with SNES. All of the other game consoles after that tried to make their games in 3D and ended out looking out like shit because they were more focused on graphics than gameplay or MUSIC,(i am refering to Castlevania on nintendo 64)

Well the lack of a graphic accelerator cards in both ps1 and saturn didn’t make things any better. The 3d-graphics looked awful in it’s early heydays. In comparion the N64 graphics did have the decency to atleast look good.

Yeah,thats some real shit.I hate those games where you just do nothin but shoot stuff and theres no music,it just wastes my fuckin time,its not fun,it makes me sick.I am a HUGE,REALLY BIG fan of the ps1 and i’ve played like 10 of these and yes,this is probably the worst.By the way,heres two AWESOME games for the ps1,Croc – legend of gobbos,spyro – year of the dragon,and peak performance.They’re great games,you should check um out but peak performance is pretty rare.Awesome review by the way>

You want to see a ps1 game that REALLY sucks shitl? Then try out resident evil survivor. I mean, you can’t even fucking look up or down! you can aim in any direction, since it’s first person, but WTF!? the guns have an AAAAAASSSSSSSSSSS rate of fire, it takes like 6 seconds in between in each shot, you can’t fucking strafe either, the grammar and the language all are just plain fucking horrible so you can never understand what the subtitles are supposed to mean. , And so is this disgrace to the name of resident evil. I hate that game. it makes me want to kill myself. like it’s the equivalent of shit taking a shit. it’s like a nasty practical joke you play on your friends ” you want to play agame? oh, here you go, you fucker.” I have had more fun playing with dog turds, it’s the grand motherload of shit, i would rather play fucking dig dug or pacman, cause at least those don’t suck! i remember when we rented it from the video store. at first it didn’t work. my dad had to sit there for 10 minutes rubbing the stupid thing with a paper towel. after getting it to work, it wasn’t worth it. we were confused on what to do. nothing seemed to work. we never passed the first level and we returned it the same night we rented it for another game.

Hahaha, this brings me back. But I actually liked the movie when I saw it in theatres! It’s crazy how much younger you look 4 years ago. You look like a little kid haha. You really do seem angry in the video, which is funny. It’s not about the swearing but just the emotions you bring in this video. Shouting at the camera, staring it down, i love it. Throwing the disc at the end was a great effect as well!

Very interesting. I think the nerd lives not too far from Philadelphia. On episode 24 spiderman he drinks a local brew (there’s a comment on that vid about it), and in this when he throws the game and circles the earth the last city it stops by is Philly. On wikipedia under location it said Newark, NJ and then it says Philadelphia for current but it doesn’t cite anything. Anyway it would be awesome to know that James lives close to me =)

If there’s anything that has NOT aged well, its the 3d polygon graphics from the mid-late 90s. This includes the N64, the PS1, and the Saturn. I mean, just look at this shit. It looks TERRIBLE. I can’t believe that we used to think this shit was “cutting edge”.
Compare that to 8bit or 16bit sprite based graphics on the NES/SNES/Genesis. It’s old looking, yes, but there’s something that works about it. They don’t have the same nausea inducing effect as the crappy early 3d era graphics do.

This game looked horrible back then. Look at a Star Wars game, Crash or the Lost World for the PSX then look at this. I saw this at Walmart when it was new and was like “hell no I ain’t buyin’ that shit!”

Starfox 64 is way better in gameplay imo… if you never played this game, download it on an emulator and compare… it’s almost better in graphics too… pretty similar should I say.

The gameplay of Starfox 64 on N64 is rather better than this game imo. If you never played this game, go ahead and download it on the internet and feel free to play it. Also the graphic looks pretty much identical at some points… AND it’s playable.

Gotta give my two cents about this. ONE, he is here to make jokes guys, hell he might actually really like current and “next” gen consoles. TWO I grew up in the N64/PS1 era (born in 1992) and I had an N64 until sometime after the PS2 came out. So I know that the N64 was fuckin amazing.
For an instance of a game where at least the IN GAME graphics were better on N64, look up Army Men: Sarge’s Heroes, in game N64 graphics and the music are amazing. PS1 had the better cinemas hands down though.
Oh, and just so I don’t seem prejudiced I have all the systems now so I’ve played a few PS1 games after the fact, and I gotta say I really love Playstation as well…FF7, 8, and 9, Crash Bandicoot or however you spell it, a bunch of others I can’t name cause I just woke up lol, but point is PS1 had some amazing titles. But I do have to say that, indeed Nintendo did own the world.
Oh, and I’ve also played some NES, SNES and all that games…allbeit mostly on an emulator, so I know what I should expect from a new game in terms of “come on this is some basic NES shit, LET ME PAUSE” or something like that.

I feel sad.
So does my PSOne, as well as my copies of Metal Gear Solid, Xenogears, Final Fantasy Tactics and Castlevania: Symphony of the Night. Although technically they’ve been my brother’s ever since he took them years ago. 
Here’s to hoping we see some more PSX from the AVGN soon; it’s only a couple years away from being the same age as the NES was when the show premiered.
