The crzy thing is this was my first time I questioned life and death. Even more disturbing, i was taken to see Gremlins, and Return to Oz as well. The unholy trinity of “Children movies” my parents were triked into taking me to lol. This movie made me sad, and the other two made me shit in my pants.

I loved it as a kid, but even then the best part of the film was the first initial attack. That all out battle was brutal. I did not like Prime dying though as I did not really like any of the new characters. There just was not enough build up for them. Bam, here are the new guys, these are the guys you are now going to watch! I did like Hotrod, but I did not like him as Rodimus, mainly because he just was not a good leader and he transformed into one of those redneck pickups that tries to also be a motor home. What the fuck? He goes from being a badass car to a vehicle that likely has “if this van’s a rockin don’t come a knockin” bumper sticker.

When Optimus Prime died, i realised best intentions will never get you grow old, and i was so shocked… Old school anime, baby: they kill your heroes right up on your face.
