The game surely had some bad flaws, but it's not shitty at all. In fact, for that time, it was awesome!

Has anyone else noticed that Ghostbusters for the Nintendo DS is very similar to the old Ghostbuster's games?

I love the last part when you laugh at the declaration that it is a great game.

I loved Ghostbusters because of the second movie, it was the first i seen as a kid and it was mindblowing, later i owned New Ghostbusters II for NES, it was made by HAL and it was a good game! the others i didnt played it, and good relief!

Laslty i beated the 360 game and i totally loved it!

Why didn't you show the C64 version for longer?
It is the same shitty game, but the digitized speech is waaaay better
(it says "Ghostbusters" instead of "xghaawwzzhuzzxerx" and even uses other quotes from the movie), you don't have to do the stairwell stage and they even spelled "Congratulations" right (and didn't claim it to be a "great game")
Ah and the music is a chiptune of the extended version of the song including all the intermezzos and soli and takes about 5 minutes until it loops!
I think the NES version is by far the worst version of one of the worst video games in existence (the Genesis version does not count).

I have a quick question, just one question. WHY IS DR. JEKYLL AND MR. HYDE IN YOUR NES TOPLOADER!? I'm serious, look under the tv, its the n64 with super smash bros. then the snes with, something. Then its the toploader with, that abomination of mankind!

There is a glitch on the stairs that gives you 256 hits. When you're on your last knockdown, of which you get three, You have to open a door containing a ghost. When the ghost hits you instead of dying you get 255 more hits. If you open any doors after that and hear the powerup sound that means you just received an extra life which will reset your lives back to one. So once the glitch is activated refrain from opening anymore doors and good luck!

it looks kinda fun, but too hard to beat with out a cheat code

I haven't grown up much with Ghostbusters, but thankfully I did over time, and have both movies on DVD.

Dear lord in Heaven, this game is just uninspired, and I mean that in a bad way. It's just afful.

Sorry for the double commenting; but I seem to remember this game from back when I had the Sega Master System. It didn't click right away because I never could get any further than the building part. I just kept floating around like an astrobastard, and not figuring anything out. I had the instruction book, but was too half assed to look at it.
Anyways, was this also a SMS game? Is that possible?

There is a good Ghostbusters game that was never released in North America

'New Ghostbusters 2' on NES. Lots a great times spent on it here in Wales.
