Episode notes by Mike:
- In episode 7 the Nerd makes fun of the McKids NES game.
- This is the first episode where the theme song by Kyle Justin appears before the review.
- James and I recently did a panel where we talked about the McKids episode. The reason we did it was we thought there was a lot of comedy potential because it was McDonalds themed. Which is true. But it’s actually pretty good as far as NES games go.

Great game review James, I remember playing this game at my friends house as a kid, and I hated it. You brought justice to society by giving it this awesome review!

First 1 with theme and where he’s called the avgn
September 25, 2010 at 12:03 am
Crazy Acid, you’re on some crazy acid – no theme and the title card says Angry Nintendo Nerd. It is the first video that he shows some calm temperment and just basically reviews the game and does practically no ranting and raving.
October 20, 2010 at 1:08 pm
Kyle Justin always does a great job with the AVGN theme song.
I also find the up-side-down thing in M.C. Kids as a bad case of vertigo.
Toasty.

December 4, 2011 at 9:44 am
Ok, I get that the ads are probably necessary for bringing in money to keep the site going…but does it seriously have to be the same ad on every single video?
December 8, 2011 at 7:25 am
@Miakia63 He doesnt pick the adds….it is set up by the company blip.tv.

February 3, 2012 at 11:13 am
The voice over on that Papa Johns ad sounds almost exactly like Spaceghost (the Coast to Coast version). Just putting that out there…
It’s an Ad I’ve been seeing on this site today, ha ha.

@Spoongoonkay No, seven eleven is a gas station chain.
April 9, 2012 at 7:49 am
This was the first game I ever rented. At first I felt really bad because the game was so hard and crap. I think I saved up $4 and rented it for a week.
It wasn’t a bad game. Just very very long.
It wasn’t a great game. I actually rented the game twice. And almost finished it.
April 15, 2012 at 3:28 pm
@JamesMiller1 7/11 may be a gas station chain, but they never had a game. Where as 7 Up did and it was fronted by a character called Spot…which is what James meant to say and Spoongoonkay corrected him on.
May 17, 2012 at 2:28 pm
I don’t recall every playing this game. However, there is another McKids game on Sega. Only it’s called Mick and Mack as: The Global Gladiators. I remember it being a decent game as a kid. It’s your basic side scroller. Although I don’t know why McDonalds would make a game where you shoot diarrhea out of a squirt gun at other piles of crap that are shooting crap back at you.
November 13, 2012 at 7:42 am
LOL i made an account just so i can point out that the block he needed was at 6:51 in the video on the left hand side…not sure if anybody has noticed this or not…i dont feel like reading through all the comments
