This is a little animated movie I made in 1997, on a program called 3D Movie Maker. You can pick scenery, change camera angles, record audio, select characters, change their clothes, make them move. Most of the actions include dancing or jumping, but I did everything I could to make it look like they were fighting, so I really had to push the limits of the software to make the characters do what I wanted.
Also, I was running Windows 95 on an old PC with a 3 GB hardrive. With a movie over 20 minutes, I was lucky when it would load.
The only way I was able to record it, was on my old VHS camera pointed at the monitor.
3 things you’ll hear that don’t belong are
1) a telephone ringing.
2) my dog barking.
3) my sister yelling at me.
I wish the quality could be better, but I’m fortunate the tape still exists.

Dude, I would’ve killed to have my own computer in ’95, let alone something that worked in 3D. I was still watching kids at school who strong armed for the computer to play Oregon Trail HAHA

He-Hey! That was excellent! What should we do now?

You should consider making a live-action movie based on this story. I would totally audition for the role of the mad scientist!
This reminds me of Black Widow Games’ ‘They Hunger’ trilogy crossed with ye olde DOS version of ‘The Last Half of Darkness’. I also see a touch of the original ‘Alone in the Dark’, but I’ve only ever played the 4th one, so I’d say it leans more toward ‘They Hunger’ in terms of subject matter.

The skeletons really remind me of those off of Castlevania on the N64 haha. Great vid.

This is actually a lot like watching Final Fantasy VII, with the nicely done static backgrounds and primitive, often glitchy 3D characters. I love how they walk through windows and tables and stuff.

“I’m gonna beat’cha down!”
“He-hey! That was excellent! What should we do now?”

Also, lol at the part where the antagonist falls off the balcony and that skeleton is just standing there looking at him.

HOLY SHIT. YOU used 3d movie maker! I made movies with it until a few years ago. Im Sad there is still no thing like this app. (Maybe Garri’s mod but it’s not the same at all) Great soft. Too bad it never had a second version.

Lol, that was a lot of fun to watch. You could definitely squeeze some enjoyment out of those old movie maker programs.
