A montage of horror clips set to music from the video game Killer Instinct. I used professional analog editing equipment at the time, while taking a summer class for video.

Fun compilation. This is an interesting precursor to the work you put in making the Monster Movie Marathons. I’m guessing that when you made this back in ’97 you didn’t have the knowledge you’ve since acquired about all the actors and filmwork that went into making those classic flicks. Each of those films obviously cast a shadow over the body of your work (in a good way).
Well spoken. Like a Fine Wine, James’ Films only get better as they mature. Although these glimpses ARE fun, and give a superb Yard Stick as to his later works.
Having seen all the Hammer Dracula films with Christopher Lee, it’s interesting you also included Jess Franco’s Count Dracula where Lee plays a much more serious Dracula.
There’s is definitely a certain feeling to analog editing. it more raw, and unforgiving, but at the same time adds a peculiar and chanting grittiness and emotion to the cuts. I love this clip to bits…
James, Saberwulf was my favorite character in KI. I think that you were a lucky kid to have access to such equipment in the 90′s. You’re parents must have been very supportive.
