The Herbivore (1997)

Mike Matei / April 19th, 1997

Shot in 1997, without any editing whatsoever. Whatever was shot on the VHS tape was the final movie. We didn’t care. The music was dubbed directly onto the original master tape with an audio cassette recorder. The whole video was practically made during a walk home from the school bus.

Ha, Gau’s theme. I think the second was from a town in FF4, yeah? I seem to remember walking around a lot listening to that theme.

Another masterpiece! The portrayl of mankind in search to become one with nature; to strive for that perfect balance with it, only to wonder aimlessly through life; consuming nature itself, and to never fully become satisfied with it. The more we try, the more we destroy what we desire most. Bravo, Jim. Absolutely brilliant!

…or it was just a movie to have some dumbass eat a bunch of shit. You take your pick.

Lol, he is so clean cut for having to live in the forest, and live off of nothing but raw plants, and other vegetation.

James since i found a place to reach you i thought i would say that in a sea of bad directors, excessive CGI, unimaginative plot and characters, diminishing love for old black and white classics and 80′s action and horror you give me hope that there is someone out there that can bring the passion back to film. Your love for cinema can be seen in your ability to make extremely likable material, comprehensive reviews, amazing special effects, and awesome commentaries. Someday you will be one of the greats.
